FL clear title March 1972 born date Highlights and why more desirable - notice only early 72 cars have the low bumper not covering that smile and carry over engine from 71 so higher HP. 335 500ft tq. Early 1972 Lincoln MARK IV little over 40,000 original miles has the higher HP 460 sporting Moondust blue metallic exterior paint and dark blue leather with a white top. Not as common as other colors seen in these beautiful pieces of history. This car was picked up by a family from the original owner. His aunt/uncle had since new, I have the owners Manuel, brochure and other papers. The car was highly optioned above the base Lincoln MARK IV. The paint shows well in the pictures but has some blistering on the hood and trunk, the car has lauqer paint and not to bad in dim light or 10ft. Tires are basically new, the a.c. does work but has a leak, and the antenna isint going down, i havent attended to any of that yet, might be working soon ,everything else works. The car has new parts and maintanced items that have been done. You can hop in the car fire it up and cruze down the road with no worries of mechanical problems. Interior is in very great shape with a crack on the driver side door panel plastic area, headliner and everything else appears to be gorgeous. There is no rot or crazy rust, or any real rust I can see. Now all cars have surface rust in areas as we know but this car is nice. I will upload more pictures later. The C-6 Transmission has ben overhauled, new Dynomax dual exhaust, New inner and outer tie rods and centerline. These are just the major things that I have done over the past 5 years. The car runs and drives Great! she has a straight body and all the trim and moldings are intact. No cracks or chips in the windshield. These are the Few downsides. Number one the dash has ben removed[but is intact}. There is a small rust spot under the driver side door, And a crack in the rear taillight. This car was bought new on October 23rd 1968 at Paul A Ziegler Lincoln Mercury in Bishop, CA by its first owner Mr. Ben Elliott, who sold it to its only other owner in the early '80s. The paint on the car is finished in gorgeous original color of Huron Blue. After looking the car over we believe this is an original paint car. It was just carefully cut and buffed to a nice shine and shows very well! There are assorted chips on the front of the car from its road-tripping uses. The front and rear cowls show fading from the sun but have not been repainted. These cars are becoming harder and harder to find in their untouched form and we thought best to leave this one as so. This car is a totally solid, rust free car, and obviously never saw snow or salt. The underside of the rockers, quarters, fenders, and floor boards are solid as a rock, and the wheel wells look so clean, just the way a California car should. All correct trim and emblems are present and in great shape. The chrome does show some pitting from its just under 68k miles of use. The vinyl top is in nice shape with no apparent rips or tears. I like the look and think it gives the car a clean, classy look. All of the glass is original and the windshield is crack-free. The car rides on four new 15" Hankook whitewall tires and still retains its correct hubcaps which gives the car a very nice look. The interior is all original and in very good condition. The original leather seats are extremely soft and supple and look like new. Door panels Dash, and carpet are all original and in perfect condition. The odometer currently shows only 67700mi, which is stated to be Actual miles by the Arizona title. The wood inlayed steering wheel is in excellent condition and is usually a good indicator of use and miles driven. The seats are in excellent condition with almost no ware- only some slight creasing on the driver's bolster. Under the hood is spotless and the proper decals look like new. Power windows, locks, seat, antenna, wipers, and defog work correctly. The climate control is working correctly and the A/C blows ICE COLD. Rear quarter windows as well as power seat switch are currently inoperable. The trunk interior is like new condition and has all of the original cardboard and original carpeting which looks very nice. The space saver spare is also still aboard as well as the jack and all original tools. Mechanically, this Lincoln runs GREAT! This car features the 460ci V8. This car always starts right up and shifts so smooth it is difficult to feel the transition between gears. Under the hood is very clean and all original.The car tracks straight and rides and drives just like a new Lincoln should! The car includes two sets of original keys, spare tire, jacking equipment, and the original manuals. All in all, this is one of the coolest and most original Lincoln's I have ever owned. It has been professionally maintained and truly loved by its previous owner. These late 60's era vehicles are becoming more and more collectible as the older ones disappear into collections, especially well maintained,low mileage, cars like this. The Mark has been put away for the winter with a cover.There is no actual title. It was lost years ago. Just the normal bill of sale. It's a pretty solid car and much money has been put into it.Speedometer and odometer do not work so it it not the correct mileage.Wiper motor and heating core need to be installed. I have them both but can't find the bracket for the wiper.Horns are disconnected because they go off on their own. Speedometer and odometer not working. MOST IMPORTANT ..The Paint job is a mess. Needs to be totally sand down. The hood and trunk have a little jump to it as seen in pics. There is visible rust but not bad.All the windows work. I don't think the seats were original because the car was originally blue..go figure.It's certainly not perfect, so ask questions before bidding. I have a good running 2002 Lincoln Continental. It has leather interior 8/10 could use a cleaning. The body has some rust and a few dings and the driver side rear door has a dent but the door still functions. It has 181K highway miles and the engine and transmission is good. It will need brakes and tires soon and a small leak from the valve cover gaskets. you can smell it burn a bit of oil after the engine has been running for a long time.
