This is Bella, she is one of 11,060 Lincoln Continental Coupes made in 1967. She has a rebuilt 462 engine. The C-6 Transmission has ben overhauled, new Dynomax dual exhaust, New inner and outer tie rods and centerline. These are just the major things that I have done over the past 5 years. The car runs and drives Great! she has a straight body and all the trim and moldings are intact. No cracks or chips in the windshield. These are the Few downsides. Number one the dash has ben removed[but is intact}. There is a small rust spot under the driver side door, And a crack in the rear taillight. The paint on the car is finished in gorgeous original color of Huron Blue. After looking the car over we believe this is an original paint car. It was just carefully cut and buffed to a nice shine and shows very well! There are assorted chips on the front of the car from its road-tripping uses. The front and rear cowls show fading from the sun but have not been repainted. These cars are becoming harder and harder to find in their untouched form and we thought best to leave this one as so. This car is a totally solid, rust free car, and obviously never saw snow or salt. The underside of the rockers, quarters, fenders, and floor boards are solid as a rock, and the wheel wells look so clean, just the way a California car should. All correct trim and emblems are present and in great shape. The chrome does show some pitting from its just under 68k miles of use. The vinyl top is in nice shape with no apparent rips or tears. I like the look and think it gives the car a clean, classy look. All of the glass is original and the windshield is crack-free. The car rides on four new 15" Hankook whitewall tires and still retains its correct hubcaps which gives the car a very nice look. The interior is all original and in very good condition. The original leather seats are extremely soft and supple and look like new. Door panels Dash, and carpet are all original and in perfect condition. The odometer currently shows only 67700mi, which is stated to be Actual miles by the Arizona title. The wood inlayed steering wheel is in excellent condition and is usually a good indicator of use and miles driven. The seats are in excellent condition with almost no ware- only some slight creasing on the driver's bolster. Under the hood is spotless and the proper decals look like new. Power windows, locks, seat, antenna, wipers, and defog work correctly. The climate control is working correctly and the A/C blows ICE COLD. Rear quarter windows as well as power seat switch are currently inoperable. The trunk interior is like new condition and has all of the original cardboard and original carpeting which looks very nice. The space saver spare is also still aboard as well as the jack and all original tools. Mechanically, this Lincoln runs GREAT! This car features the 460ci V8. This car always starts right up and shifts so smooth it is difficult to feel the transition between gears. Under the hood is very clean and all original.The car tracks straight and rides and drives just like a new Lincoln should! 1977 Lincoln Continental Town Coupe I am selling because I have eight cars and only six garage spaces. I've been renting some extra space for a while- but now something has to go. Since May of 2013: Rebuilt transmission & differential, new: rear wheel bearings, differential seals, rear brake hose, rear brake wheel cylinders/shoes/hardware; drive shaft: all joints including centering joints replaced and driveshaft professionally balanced, new shocks, control and strut arm bushings, new correct exhaust system; new: timing chain/gears, front cover, water pump, alternator, regulator, duraspark module, power steering pump and all hoses to/from hydroboost, air conditioning compressor/drier/expansion valve; rebuilt correct carburetor; new valve cover gaskets; new plugs/wires/cap (included are excellent original factory wires/cap for shows); 235-15 Cooper correct appearance tires including spare with matching aluminum wheel. This car originally sold by Holiday Lincoln-Mercury in Fort Worth. I bought from second owner who purchased it in 1982 from Massey Auto Sales in Alburqurque, NM. Second owner kept it in high, dry, cold Gallup for 31 years. It must have been quite an attraction at the dealer who ordered it in July of 1976. This was the first year of the Town Car/Coupe with the Mark style massive vertical grill and this car has new and rare options. Leather in great shape with small amount of usual wear on driver's seat edge. Much trim replaced with n.o.s. by me. Vinyl top in great condition, has two tiny defects near trunk. Absolutely no rust or body damage on car. Mostly original paint. A few weeks ago, this car took 1st place and scored 98.3 points at LCOC Western 2015 and was awarded Lincoln Trophy for best '70-'79 Continental or Versailles. Critiques from judges were the incorrect coolant overflow tank (the tank I have is correct for 1975-76, not 1977 (Only diffence is filler cap, otherwise dimensions the same). Other criticisms were for a nick in the fendertop trim, scratches on bumpers, wear on original driver's seat upholstery. Part of LCOC judging is 45 items of mechanical. Everything works and works well. 98,000 miles on powerful 460- does not use oil. I use Eastwood zddp in oil changes. Also took 2nd place at Huntington Beach Concours this year as well as awards in several other shows. I have driven it several times to Orange County, Phoenix, and San Diego in the past few years. This car turns heads wherever it goes. Car has two very rare (and unpopular) options: The fixed glass moonroof, and the cordovan & white interior. The two-tone cordovan & white interior was available in the Town Coupe only in 1977 and only in leather. Lincoln built 258 with this interior out of about 22,000 Coupes. All the other Town Coupes from 1974-1979 had solid color interiors. 1977 was the last year for this model's exceptional dash with full gauges and the horizontal bar "thermometer" speedometer, a Lincoln tradition since 1966; the more modern temperature controls, auto dimmers, and fancier radios wouldn’t fit in this wide, unique instrument panel. In 1978, the dash became more generic. 1977 was the first year for the flame-cut high gloss woodtone interior trim. Previous years had a flat finish burl. The flame-cut pattern is spectacular with the cordovan and white interior. Reclining passenger seat is amazingly comfortable. Rear seat passengers look out the massive opera windows through a floating gold Lincoln star. I feel this year was the pinnacle of interior excess on the Town Car/Town Coupe. 1977 was also the last year for the 460 c.i.d. V-8 as standard equipment and the last year for fender skirts. There is a gold mine in parts here. I bought this right after engine rebuilt and put just under 50k miles on it. The engine is excellent, uses no oil and I have changed it since I had it at less than 3k miles every time. It has a relatively new alt. (mileage wise). The front air ride suspension was replaced. ($1800) The rear shocks have been replaced with coil over replacements with less than 500 mi. Also only a few thousand miles (5k maybe) on the brakes all the way around. Body, except for the front end obviously, is in fantastic shape. The back seat and door panels are practically unused. Front has some wear and is a little rough. The bad news, the power steering is out. That is the only reason I'm not driving it. I drove it for months after the accident until that happened. I just don't have the money to fix it. It drives great. The ride and steering is perfectly good. Either fix it up or part it out. Note: the right front wheel is turned out in the pic like that on purpose. That is not from the accident. It has a completely rebuilt convertible top mechanism and hydraulics by noted local Lincoln expert Ken Berger including new cylinders, lines, motors and relays. The black German Haartz cloth canvas convertible top is brand new. Inside the trunk is also fully redone using the correct material! Mechanically, this little beauty runs and drives beautiful. The engine compartment is all stock and beautifully detailed to show condition. This car always starts right up and floats down the road like new. It has correct 430ci engine runs smooth and quiet and is true pleasure to drive. It also has a brand new exhaust system on it. For complete driving comfort it has a new vintage air conditioning and heating system installed in the car that blows 36 degrees at the vents. This system uses the factory A/C vents plus and few extra vents added for maximum cooling on those hot days. This system was installed due to the fact that it works 50 times better then the factory A/C system and yet still looks factory!! This is an ultra rare classic car that is only going up in value as time goes on and is one of the best years for the Lincoln Continental convertibles. They only made a limited amount of Lincoln Continental convertibles in 1963. I have owned over 50 Continental convertibles in the past several years and this is the nicest one out of all them. The previous, nicest one sold for over $100K a couple years ago this car tops that car in overall quality and condition. The body of this vehicle is straight and the paint is in excellent condition, with absolutely no signs of prior damage or reconditioning. This vehicle is fully-loaded. This was an extra vehicle for the previous owner and the mileage is consistent with its limited use. All interior components are in good working order.
