Factory 1970 Chevelle SS 396 L34 350Hp.Have factory build sheet. Frame off restoration all new or redone drivetrain. Factory AC. All suspension has been repainted or powdercoated. All new brakes and brake lines, fuel lines, fuel tank. Engine is factory 396 L34 motor has CTW stamped on engine id pad, was told be previous owner it was original engine, but cannot make out vin on engine pad after machining was done only make out partial vin which is stamped upside down which is correct for Kansas engine. Engine and trans is rebuilt has approx 300 miles since rebuild. Trans is 1969 th400 with shift kit. Factory rearend rebuilt with 3.31 gears and new posi. Paint is original color Cortez silver with black stripes. Interior is factory Pearl with console, non gauge, has aftermarket cd player. ConsInterior: New carpet kit have new door panels arm rests. Seats are older but in good shape no tears had new foam installed. Dash and console are in original condition radio hole was cut for cd player has new dash pad. Needs speed cable Rear windows need to have new rollers installed. Rear bumper needs re-chromed couple of chips. AC is not hooked up needs compressor rebuilt is locked up. Front grill has a small crack. Front bumper is new aftermarket have the original bumper. Non flapper hood but has the cowl induction emblems. Car is put back to stock besides; Hei distributor and msd wires. Originally had open element chrome air cleaner now has cowl induction air cleaner. The one body on repaint that this car has had is miles deep, and we all know how hard it is to keep black straight when you are spraying it. This one is laser straight from any angle that you look at it. As we have said, this was a body on restoration. So, as you will see in the under carriage pics, there are no problems to speak of. It is just a good looking driver quality underneath. The interior of the car was redone as well and you will not find a flaw in the seats, carpet, dash, or headliner. You just open the door and slide in and get ready to turn that key. Now, make sure that once you do turn that key, that you turn on that cold a/c. Yep folks this big block 4 speed car has a/c, power brakes, and power steering. This would have been a very expensive car back in the day with all of these options. The motor under the hood of this driving investment is the original 396. The motor was completely pulled out, stripped down, boiled out, and put back together. As you will see in the pics there is a new intake manifold and carb, but the original pair go with the car. This is matted to a date coded 4 speed transmission, and that goes to the original rear end. The pumpkin is now housing 3.42 gears, and the original 4.11's come with the car. This combo has plenty of power to get you anywhere you want efficiently, but with the 3.42's be able to drive it on the highway and enjoy it. Let's face it, we all love 4.11's, but they are not fun for long periods of time on America's highways. To recap ladies and gentleman, this car is all original, extremely fun to drive, and a drive able investment. These types of cars go no where but up in value. Interior is original,and in excellent condition.(carpet replaced)engine is 396cu 325HP and is stamped "CE" meaning dealer warranty replacement probably sometime early in the cars life. all stamps on the block, heads, manifold, etc are date correct 1969. top end was rebuilt with 350HP spec camshaft, new lifters, new roller rockers,new valve springs/ caps/ retainers, new guides and seals. new timing gears and chain. heads/valves were machined/freshened up. has holley 80555 carburetor for better starting and MUCH better throttle response and acceleration. pertronics flamethrower pointless distributor. (have original Rochester carb. and distributor) rebuilt original Muncie M-20 close ratio 4 speed transmission, new clutch, resurfaced flywheel. 12 bolt Posi- traction rear, 3:31 gears.B.F. Goodrich T/A radials P235-70 R/15. Factory AC works, needs charge. (blew charge and replaced kinked line. just never took it to be recharged). Headlights/ high beams work (3 of 4 original T-3s) marker lights/ turn signals work, Wipers work, new horns work, interior lights/ dash lights work, heater/ blower works, all gauges work. Radio is a "factory look" digital unit with wiring under the dash for 4 speakers, Amp., aux input.only one speaker now, in original spot center of dash. car is clean in, out and underneath. looks as good in person as it does in the pictures, but it's not a trailer queen. they are the $45,000+ cars your afraid to drive. a close inspection will show dings in the original stainless trim, scratches in the original rear window glass, minor marks in paint. I've included a few during the restoration. Runs strong, FAST! Turns heads, car show and cruise night first places and best of shows. I've put less than 1000 miles on it since I've had it.
