This chevy can be driven daily if you wanted, it is that nice and tight. She has plenty of power coming from the 350sb with an estimated 375hp. This is a Factory Air car and, yes it works excellent!Interior: The interior is in immaculate condition, The dash shows little to no wear. This was a frame off restoration in 2011 that lasted until 2012. The red interior is flawless, it really looks phenomenal. Sporting 2 buckets and a center console, she is very comfortable and sporty. It is equipped with Air and she blows at 60 degrees! The radio sports a vintage style look but has modern features. The dash sports a factory tach, and speedometer. All of the gauges look and work excellent.Exterior: The paint shows excellent, 7 out of 10 easily. The forest green metallic looks excellent and shows very well in the sun. The rally style wheels really pop in the fender wells. The bottom of the car looks just as good as the top in case you were wondering. All of the lights function as they should, even the reverse lights. If you are looking for a car show winner you have found it here, this is a very rare color combo! The pictures do not do this chevy justice!Drivetrain: Both the motor and trans were recently rebuilt and resealed, the motor has approximately 375hp with headers and a mild cam. The fuel is delivered via a Holley Ultra DP Carb, and that in our opinion is one of the best carbs you can get at the moment. The correct engine casting is as follows: GM3970014. The rear end does not make any sort of noise, and the trans shifts super smooth. The brakes stop straight, and all of the bushings are new, as it was Frame off restored. She has power steering / power disk brakes / Factory A/C with a newer more efficient compressor. The engine bay is detailed with a Edelbrock Nascar blackout kit, and it looks killer! Here for your consideration is our 1972 CHEVELLE SS 350 CONVERTIBLE. YES, ITS A REAL SS MATCHING NUMBERS CAR! Sorry for the long text; but if youtake time to read it - it should tell you all you need to know. This car is an Original SS Convertible - NOT a CLONE or FAKE SS. I have the ORIGINAL Protect-O-Plate but I do NOT have the window sticker. I haven’t torn the car apart to find the build sheet. It may or may not be there. Also, sometimes questions arise regarding proving authenticity of a true SS. There is an obscure feature on the instrument panel of 1972 SS Chevelles. Although the 72 SS has the same circular gauges as 70 and 71 cars; it's not widely known that 1972 SS Chevelles have a "Fasten Seat Belt" light which appears as a small horizontal round corner light located below the heater controls to the right of the radio controls. Reproduction dashes often used to fake an SS are designed to fit 70-72, but do NOT have the seat belt light opening. Although the panel has lost the shiny chrome luster on its edges, This particular car HAS the correct circular gauges WITH the correct seat belt light only used on 1972 Chevelles, and a few late production 1971's. Hope this info helps anyone contemplating purchasing this vehicle. This car gets a ZILLION compliments and “Thumbs Up” every time its driven. You will NOT be anonymous driving this car. It really draws attention! Drive it the way it is and enjoy - or restore it for investment. IMPORTANT NOTE: As you view this car you’ll note that is NOT a show car. Before you rip it apart with negative criticism, please know that I’ve purposely left it in its present condition to enable me to offer it at a MUCH lower price and make it more affordable to a broader audience. Rest assured - this car is NO junker. Surprisingly a number of people have asked me I restored the car myself, or was it original. Its TRULY a GREAT LOOKING CAR - but It needs a new top and a good measure of detailing to bring it up to where is should be. When I bought this car I was planning on installing a whole bunch of options like Power Windows, Power Trunk Release, Firestone Wide Ovals, and every other option I could get my hands on. I was even planning on removing the engine to highly detail the engine bay, the engine, and the suspension. Had I accomplished all of the above, I would need to add thousands of extra dollars to the price of this car to get my money back out of it. It made better sense to me to sell it as it is - to enable a broader group of potential buyers the chance to afford a car like this. EXTERIOR: Factory Correct GM Code 65 Flame Orange (this is the original color of this car) Base Coat/Clear Coat with White D-88 SS Sport Stripes. Mostly Shines like a mirror - Body is VERY solid in very decent shape - No dents, but has a few small chips and paint anamolies. - NOT flawless perfect. Bottom line is - you can surely drive this car and be proud to be seen in it - but its NOT a “show” car. White convertible top needs replaced. Sadly the top has those common horizontal side stress tears between back window and side window. If it wasn’t for that - the top would be perfectly fine for a long while. The Power Top motor works Great. Factory SS wheels are nice. Trunk is very clean. Floor pan, Trunk pan and quarter panels are very nice. Exhaust system is original style and is in fine shape with correct SS exhaust tips. Has B.F. Goodrich T/A’s which have plenty of tread on them. INTERIOR: Very decent condition. White A-52 Bench seat interior with column shift automatic. Original dash in excellent condition. A/C vents and plastic chrome trim has faded. Car has full SS instrument gauges. Former owner opted to install aftermarket gauge cluster below the dash to benefit from receiving more info like Oil Pressure which is not shown on the original gauges. This was on my list to restore to original. Car has the Original SS sport wheel. Odometer reads 87,000 which I was told is original mileage - but can't prove it. Door panels were newly replaced when I bought the car. Carpet is original but a bit sun bleached. Front seat belts are white which is not correct. The black originals are in a box in the trunk. It was that way when I bought it. The Convertible Top motor works with no problems. DRIVETRAIN: Original Matching Numbers 350 Engine and really runs GREAT. Transmission shifts perfectly fine. Car steers straight and true. I’ve driven the car for hours in 100 degree heat and it has no problems. This SS is equipped with a brand new CORRECT rebuilt Carter 4 barrel carburetor. I even managed to acquire one with the correct date code range. The Protect-O-Plate stipulates that the car had a Carter Carb and not aRochester. Therefore I tracked down a Carter Carb and replaced the Edelbrock which had no business being there. Car has the Factory Cruise Control Option which is presently disconnected. Not sure if it will work or not when is reconnected. Its a RARE option worth keeping. Under the hood is largely untouched. It even has a number of the correct tower clamps still in use. Frankly, it doesn’t look like the engine has ever been out of the car. It runs great and doesn’t smoke, so I figure - “If its not broke, don’t fix it.” Engine compartment, drivetrain, and suspension shows the typical dirt and wear from semi regular use. Everything is solid and no rust - but its not pretty. This car is equipped with Factory Air Conditioning. The system the original R-12 system. The compressor spins when you turn it on. However, It doesn’t blow cold air. Some seals are probably gone; and/or the system needs to be recharged. I haven’t messed with it beyond that. I have tried to be forthright and as detailed as possible to enable you to see the true condition of this vehicle. I don't like complaints and I'm sure you don't like surprises. See the NADA Guide for current value. I have priced the car WAY below what I feel it is worth. I have factored in all imperfections and wear into my price. It is what it is. The pictures speak for themselves. Its not a show car but its also not priced like a show car either. 1968 Chevrolet Chevelle 2-Door Coupe First, let me say why am I selling this car. I have always done restorations and most were for customers (Professional athletes, Executives, and Car Enthusiasts). My wife searched for an found this 68 Chevelle and wanted it done up as a Pro-Street car for her and I to take to car shows together. She picked the color and I did the rest. In the end, no detail was left undone and no expense spared. However, now that she is in her 5th year on Dialysis she can no longer do the car shows as she cannot be out in the summer heat all day long and she cannot help me with the car. Anyone who has done car shows knows that they are long, hot, and very hard days for that $12 trophy you get when it is all said and done. Because of this and the fact that this car has only seen the sunlight twice in 2 years (both shows we won Best of Show, Best Paint, Best Engine, and People's Choice), we needed to make a decision on what to do, sell it or let it sit more years in the garage? The time has come to sell the car and it is like a child to us, so this is not easy, but it is the right thing to do to put this car in the hands of someone who can really enjoy it. We would love nothing more that for the car to be out, be seen, and win more awards regardless of who now owns it. It will always be our pride and joy.Original factory production took place at the Atlanta Georgia General Motors Assembly Plant in November of 1967. The car was purchased in 2009 from the original owner and was found in a field sitting on blocks at the time of purchase (paid $600). Currently, the car has undergone a full, meticulous Pro-Street Restoration totaling more than $120,000+ with all receipts and very well documented photo album and timeline. This car comes with the following specifications: All New Body Panels and Glass, aside from part of the frame and the core body shell, everything is brand new on this car and no expense was spared. The only original part of the car that was used was the core body shell and the front 1/3 of the frame rails, everything else was replaced new or custom fabricated. The paint is 5 coats of Chrome Yellow w/White SS style striping and the strip lines cannot be felt. paint and body are absolutely perfect!! The chassis is semi-custom frame, meaning that the front 1/3 is a factory frame and the back 2/3 of the frame was fabricated. The front uses custom tubular A-Arms & Springs, fabricated sway bar, quick ratio power steering gear box, and factory style steering components. The rear suspension is a custom 4-Link suspension system with coil-over race shocks, a narrowed 35 spline 9" Ford rear housing, Mark Williams gear set w/4:88 ratio, Moser custom axles, and Positive Traction differential. Wheels are Weld Wheel Billet aluminum wheels with Goodyear tires. Engine is a Gen VI 10.2 Deck 582 Big Block Chevrolet (Modified 720R motor). This engine has been modified to accept boost levels up to 24+ PSI. Block is a GM Performance Race block & has Steel Billet splayed main caps, Callies Pro-Magnum Crankshaft, Oliver Steel Billet Rods, JE Gas Ported Nitrous Pistons, Tool Steel Rings & Wrist Pins, Callies Coated Bearings, Comp Cams custom grind Supercharger Mechanical Roller Camshaft, Reher-Morrisson Race Prepped Cylinder Heads w/Full CNC porting, Intake port matched & CNC machined, Pro-Fogger 300HP Direct Port Nitrous Oxide system, AED Tuned "flow-thru" Holley HP Race Series 1150 CFM carburetor, all MSD ignition controls, 2.25" Ceramic Coated & Fully Tuned exhaust headers. Full MSD ignition and ignition controller and adjustable boost controller. Far too many extras to list. The engine also has a set of "Fully Custom hand made" Vortech YSI-7 RACE trim superchargers capable of producing more than 24+ PSI per charger. I made two trips out to Vortech Engineering to get these superchargers made and designed to meet my needs. The drivers side charger is easy, but the passenger side charger had to have a custom oiling system and oil return created which was done in house by Vortech. These superchargers are oil pressure feed from the engine and then have filtered oil returns to the block (The setup, mounting plates, induction tubes, feed tubes, oiling system, drive system, and top hat are all custom handmade CNC pieces for this car). This setup is currently using twin Vortech Race Series blow-off valves & is producing 16 PSI boost @6250 RPM. The engine is controlled by MSD Ignition timing & boost controllers to ensure optimal timing vs. boost. The car has made 7 chassis dyno runs, producing 1320 RWHP on 16 PSI of boost & Zero Nitrous. The engine is capable of sustaining a higher amount of Boost to produce an estimated 1750 Crankshaft Horsepower. The driveline is a JW Transmission Billet Race Series Turbo 400, Manual Valve Body, Trans-Brake, & a 3700 RPM JW stall converter. The driveshaft is an all aluminum 5" custom shaft with 4340 billet yokes. The rear End is a 35 spline 9" Ford rear housing, Mark Williams gear set w/4:88 ratio, Moser custom axles, and Positive Traction differential. The fuel system uses twin Magna Flow Pro-Series fuel pumps, canister filters, Magna Flow regulators, 20 gallon billet aluminum foam filled fuel cell, & all air-craft quality AN Fittings from front to rear. The are twin Opitma batteries in the trunk with a custom Billet aluminum battery tray, the car has a master cut off switch inside the car, custom NOS bottle bracket and electric remote bottle opener. The Engine fuel system and the NOS fuel system are completely separate and run independent of each other with safety measure taken to prevent ANY problems with fuel and NOS delivery. The car has a custom 10-point chrome moly roll cage, Simpson 5-point cam-lock harnesses, Carrillo Seats, TCI shifter, & Custom hand built dash/gauge assembly with Auto-Meter Pro gauges. However, the car utilizes the factory dash pad, pillar posts, door panels, head liner, mirrors, & many other factory parts to keep the feel of the original 68 Chevelle and are all brand new. This car is only taken to "2" car shows per year and has won an average of 4 awards per show. The car is climate control garage kept, never been driven over 2 miles at one time (extended chassis dyno time not counted), has never been wet (not even washed.....ever!!) and is routinely started with a warm up period. Fuel and Engine Oil is maintained every 4-5 months to keep everything fresh. This car is a Pro Street car and could easily become a driver with the addition of an intercooler system to cool the superchargers and street approved tires. All lights and electrical work and with the right set of tires know one would know what was under the hood of this amazing car. The interior is all high end custom, the under carriage power coated or painted depending on the item, but is clean enough to eat off of. Again, too many things to list on this car. White A-52 Bench seat interior with column shift automatic. Original dash in excellent condition. A/C vents and plastic chrome trim has faded. Car has full SS instrument gauges. Former owner opted to install aftermarket gauge cluster below the dash to benefit from receiving more info like Oil Pressure which is not shown on the original gauges. This was on my list to restore to original. Car has the Original SS sport wheel. Odometer reads 87,000 which I was told is original mileage - but can't prove it. Door panels were newly replaced when I bought the car. Carpet is original but a bit sun bleached. Front seat belts are white which is not correct. The black originals are in a box in the trunk. It was that way when I bought it. The Convertible Top motor works with no problems. DRIVETRAIN: Original Matching Numbers 350 Engine and really runs GREAT. Transmission shifts perfectly fine. Car steers straight and true. I’ve driven the car for hours in 100 degree heat and it has no problems. This SS is equipped with a brand new CORRECT rebuilt Carter 4 barrel carburetor. I even managed to acquire one with the correct date code range. The Protect-O-Plate stipulates that the car had a Carter Carb and not a Rochester. Therefore I tracked down a Carter Carb and replaced the Edelbrock which had no business being there. Car has the Factory Cruise Control Option which is presently disconnected. Not sure if it will work or not when is reconnected. Its a RARE option worth keeping. Under the hood is largely untouched. It even has a number of the correct tower clamps still in use. Frankly, it doesn’t look like the engine has ever been out of the car. It runs great and doesn’t smoke, so I figure - “If its not broke, don’t fix it.” Engine compartment, drivetrain, and suspension shows the typical dirt and wear from semi regular use. Everything is solid and no rust - but its not pretty. This car is equipped with Factory Air Conditioning. The system the original R-12 system. The compressor spins when you turn it on. However, It doesn’t blow cold air. Some seals are probably gone; and/or the system needs to be recharged. I haven’t messed with it beyond that. I have tried to be forthright and as detailed as possible to enable you to see the true condition of this vehicle. I don't like complaints and I'm sure you don't like surprises. See the NADA Guide for current value. I have priced the car WAY below what I feel it is worth. I have factored in all imperfections and wear into my price. It is what it is. The instrument panel of 72 SS Chevelles. have circular gauges; (same as 70 & 71), but it's not widely known that 1972 SS Chevelles have a "Fasten Seat Belt" light which appears as a small horizontal round corner light located below the heater controls to the right of the radio controls. Reproduction dashes designed to fit 70-72 do NOT have the seat belt light opening. Although the panel has lost the shiny chrome luster on its edges, This particular car HAS the correct circular gauges WITH the correct seat belt light only used on 1972 Chevelles, and a few late production 1971's. Up for your consideration is a 70 Chevelle that was taken apart several years ago. Previous owner has installed new floor pans, partial quarters, trunk pan, trunk drop offs, inner and outer wheel wells and the fenders are aftermarket. (note he sanded them and now they have a light layer of surface rust) The body is back on the frame with new body bushings. Also installed was a new fuel line. The car has new airshocks in the back. It has tubular upper and lower bars installed to the original 10 bolt. Not installed is Heidt's upper and lower front control arms. Also a set of new Baer duel piston brakes with slotted rotors and 2" drop spindles. The engine is a 350 with a 350 trans.
