Rolls-RoyceSilver Wraith II 1978 A stunning and beautiful presenting example! Here is a really fine and original example of a Silver Wraith II. Finished in Pewter with a cream (light tan) Everflex vinyl top and matching fine lines to the waist-rails. The interior has handsome Biscuit tan Connolly hides with cream piping and matching Wilton carpets in the reverse combination. The same tan and cream theme carries through to the boot. The Silver Wraith II is the long wheel base version of the Silver Shadow II. Easily identified by the same rear window (opera window) and standard fitment Everflex vinyl top, it is 4” longer in the rear door. This provides a noticeable increase in rear passenger space. This is an unmolested example that has been beuatifully maintained and presents in excellent condition. It is entirely all original in presentation with no modifications - right down to the original Blaupunkt push button radio and separate cassette player. This was an Arizona car all its life so it is a “dry” car that has had a garaged environment. As a result, it has been freed from the perils of harsh weather and is very clean underneath and completely rust free! It has always been well maintained and serviced and comes with its original manual. The Silver Wraith II presented here has been work-shop inspected with all work needed is carried out. Important costly items such as the hydraulics and brakes are fully inspected and serviced as required. This includes checking of all brake hoses and system pressure tested and bled. It is ready to drive and enjoy. The odometer shows a low 60,700 and although this is not verifiable, the mileage is commensurate with the condition (particularly when you look at the condition of the interior, under-hood, brake pedal etc). It is very quiet and smooth on the road without any of the typical “thumps” and “rattles” typical of poor (or even averagely) maintained examples of this model. The interior looks close to perfect. The Connolly hide leather is in absolutely outstanding condition with no tears nor fading and very supple and soft – true to its Connolly characteristics. The leather has never been redyed but simply lovingly preserved. A great welcome with true “original leather” is the colour characteristics. If you look at the pictures of the interior, there are some close up shots that clearly show the colour is not just plain tan, but with a “burnished” tone to the leather. You can see the honey tan base and then in the fine natural grain of the leather is a darker tone. This natural quasi “antique” leather look (like a Chesterfield couch) was achieved by the hand rubbing Connollising technique that made this leather so famous and for which its name now describes the correct procedure for refinishing leather – “Connollising”. Leather that has been re-dyed by typical methods is “mono-toned” featuring only the 1 primary colour. As such, it lacks depth and richness that unrestored Connolly hide has to offer. The burr walnut wood throughout the car is stunning. They are also completely factory original and yet in fantastic condition without any marks or blemishes so regularly seen on Silver Shadows. The finish on the wood throughout is simply stunning and is like glass. And, with the gracious offering of Mother Nature, the wood grain in this example is simply divine with a very rich ochre hue combination of light and dark knots and a pattern that is breathtakingly beautiful. It is truly amongst the best we have seen! The head lining is original and in good condition with no water staining or marks. The original Wilton wool carpets with leather binding are in good condition. Likewise is the leather finish to the dash and top-roll. The boot (trunk) carpet with the same theme is also in good condition. The car has dark tinted windows all round giving her a very formal look. The body on this Wraith II is very straight and the paint is shiny and lustrous. The car was repainted some 10 years ago and was a very high quality job. The finish is entirely consistent. When you look down the sides of the car, they are very straight and true. The paint presents beautifully with only the most minor little mark here and there from use but consistent with a low-mileage recent paint job. Certainly, it needs nothing other than a wax from time to time. The Everflex vinyl top, standard fitment on all Wraith IIs, is excellent. The car has Michelin XH4 white-wall tyres fitted with plenty of tread and the hubcaps are excellent with no imperfections in the stainless rings or caps. All remaining bright-work is in good condition. All electrics have been checked right down to the smallest and insignificant dash and courtesy light. Under the bonnet, the presentation is amazing. It has not been precision detailed but simply kept clean and tidy throughout its life. The under-bonnet heat pads are great! You must take the time to look at the photos of the engine bay as its presentation is like that of only a 5 year old example. Simply stunning! As you would expect, this Wraith II comes with its original jack, correct tools and operating manual. The car is of very high standard and is an easy 9 out of 10 driver rating. Please remember, all Park-Ward cars are fully workshopped examples with anything needing doing, attended to by professional in-house Rolls-Royce craftsmen. As part of our dedication to excellence, when a car is sold, it then undergoes a "Predelivery Commissioning process" to ready the car for complete turn-key delivery including all oil services up to date. Our motto is to "get her right the first time" and so we will never ship any of our cars in compromise to this commitment. ~~ This stately Wraith II is an excellent condition representation of the marque that is ready to be driven and enjoyed. It makes for an excellent driver for either everyday driving or sunny weekend enjoyment. Take her to your next Rolls-Royce meet and you will attract attention! ~~ Interesting information on the Silver Shadow II series The “II” mark provided considerable improvement over the earlier Silver Shadow. In 1977, the model was renamed the Silver Shadow II in recognition of several major changes, most notably rack and pinion steering, modifications to the front suspension which improved handling markedly, a dual exhaust along with the first-to-market fully automatic dual system air-conditioning system and a modernised and improved dash lay-out. The model represents the pinnacle in design features for the Silver Shadow series that started production in 1966. For extra photos on this fine example go to the link below. For those who are new to my adverts and/or the marque, please note that as a serious collector of some 30 years, all my cars are truly described examples. I have my own private Rolls-Royce workshop (not open to the public but dedicated to my own cars and fellow RR enthusiasts) with trained Rolls-Royce craftsmen who are proficient in all aspects. As a team, we are dedicated to the preservation of the marque and as such, any car that leaves the stable is completely inspected and work-shopped to ensure mechanical and operational items are maintained appropriately. We adopt a “keep it original” mentality with pride and confidence, offering after sales technical support and assistance well beyond the sale. Because most of my cars are offered for the pleasures of driving enjoyment it is not always possible or practical to seek perfection (in the true sense of the word) but we do always uphold excellence in whatever we do. Our cars are by no means cheap priced cars but we like to think they are amongst the best. To this end, I firmly believe in the famous adage; “Quality is remembered long after the price is forgotten.” We hope you do too.” RRMOTORSINC is a division of Park-Ward Motors and The Park-Ward Motors Museum. We can always be reached at +1-312-320-6996. We at Park-Ward Motors – the things we do. When our Rolls-Royces are commissioned for resale, they are indeed professionally and correctly “fully work-shopped”. No corners are cut. And it is all addressed in true Crewe tradition. There is way too much to list here but to give you an example of our commitment to excellence of the various processes, this is one such example of what we do: Doors and windows:- Every car has its interior door panels removed. If the wood is in need of repair (as most are) it is refinished in-house by trained and talented craftsmen at Park-Ward Motors. This is a detailed process of stripping the wood of its old lacquer, repairing the veneer if there is damage, staining the top surface as per Rolls-Royce methodology and refinishing with no less than 25 coats of clear lacquer. Hand wet-sanded and polished between all of its last 15 coats. New window felt guides and wood-to-glass foam seals are fitted. All window mechanisms are checked and serviced for smooth and efficient up and down movement. This includes an electrical modification to rectify the typical “slow window syndrome”. All tracks, chains and gears are lubricated. Where central locking is fitted, these are all serviced to ensure no “solenoid sticking”, another common problem. Units are repaired and or changed as required for refurbished units. Door wiring and door-to-body wiring is checked, repaired and/or replaced as required. The splash plastic on the inside of the doors to protect the leather panels from rain splash from inside the door is replaced with correct specification black plastic as used by the factory. Cut to shape and glued in position as per original. All door hardware is checked and repaired as required including locks, handles and scuttle finishes. The door is reassembled with all items cleaned and polished. The wood refitted and the leather panels are re-Connollised before final fitment. Take this example and apply it to the many, many different aspects of Rolls-Royce restoration, service and maintenance and you have our dedication to correct and professional vehicle pre-delivery preparation and commissioning. **PLEASE read auction terms and conditions below BEFORE bidding.** ~~ Important note: the $2,000 deposit is due within 24 hours. If not paid, or if no contact is received within that period, we reserve the right to offer the car to any other party.~~ ~~oo00oo~~ This Rolls-Royce is part of a private collection. Although licensed and bonded, I am not a main-stream retail car dealer or broker; I am a professional car collector of some 30 years with considerable experience and knowledge of Rolls-Royce and Bentley Motor Cars. I have a long standing reputation being associated with the marque which I take seriously. I take pride in my cars and have fun in collecting and restoring them. However, auctions are not a game so when you place a bid or offer, and you are the winning bidder, please understand you have entered a binding contract. You cannot bid and win the auction and expect not to meet the terms and conditions. Bidding and/or winning does not mean you are expecting me to “hold” the car until you have the opportunity to inspect it. Any inspection contemplated should be undertaken BEFORE you bid or make an offer and I openly welcome any potential buyer to come and personally inspect the car. Once you bid or make an offer, you are doing so to buy WITHOUT conditions. Your bid can not be subject to anything. A $2000.00 deposit (non-refundable) is required within 24 hours of the close of the auction and payable by PayPal. The balance of funds are required within 7 days of the close of the auction and must be provided by cashier’s check or bank wire. I cannot accept PayPal for the balance unless you are willing to meet the cost of transfer fees. Full payment must be made (and payments cleared) before the title and/or the vehicle is released. All payments are non-refundable. Payments as described above form an important part of this purchase contract and so, if all the funds are not received as outlined above, I reserve the right to terminate the transaction without notice. If there has been any deposit or other part payments received and I elect to terminate the contract, I reserve the right to keep any such deposits or payments and resell the vehicle to another bidder or interested party or re-list the vehicle at any time. To be clear, if you change your mind for ANY reason and do not complete the transaction in the time-frame required, you will forfeit your deposit. I am happy to assist with shipping arrangements on a national and worldwide basis but the winning bidder takes full responsibility for pickup and/or shipping and at his cost. As a collector and experienced restorer of the marque, I make every effort to bring my cars to a high standard. By comparison, my cars are generally superior to others available but they are by no means perfect. You must expect some issues. Unless specifically stated, the car is not of show standard but of nice "driver" condition. Please understand, show cars of this model cost hundreds of thousands of dollars to achieve and sell for prices commensurate, so the sale price of this car reflects its relative condition. You are buying "condition" accordingly. Buyers should not expect to receive concours quality or "perfect" cars at these prices. Please also understand, the very nature of these classic Rolls-Royces is such that it is not always possible to attend to every item, or perhaps I may have inadvertently overlooked items. Further, and very importantly, these cars are classic cars also because they are old. So this means a 25 year old car is predominantly comprised of 25 year old parts. And old parts will fail. All buyers must understand and expect that things can or will wear out, break and/or stop functioning without notice. This is even more likely with hand-built English cars of early technology when compared to the typical American car of the same vintage. Please note, fitted radio/stereo systems are usually subject to upgrade by purchasers so I do not ensure operation of these. Similarly, cruise control systems fitted to these classics were of an inferior design and I do not check or warrant the operation of these. Suspension and brakes on these cars are complex. We thoroughly check them and replace things that are identified faulty. But please understand, by example; if we change a brake line because it appears aged or faulty, we do NOT at the same time replace all other hoses because they are of similar age. This is considered "preventative maintenance". We do not do this unless specifically requested and is not included in the purchase price. Feel free to ask for this additional service. Further, a feature or function that is working perfectly one moment, may decide to play-up the next. After all, it is some 25 years old. This is the nature of any classic car and especially a Rolls-Royce which was very "complicated" for its era. For this reason it is necessary for the following condition: The vehicle is being sold "as-is/where-is" with no warranty expressed, written or implied. Any descriptions or representations are made with reasonable judgment and all efforts are made to ensure fair assessment and accuracy but they are for descriptive and identification purposes only and are not to be construed as a warranty of any type. The seller shall not be responsible for errors in description, authenticity, genuineness, or defects herein and makes no warranty in connection therewith. If any aspect of the description contradicts what can be seen in the photos, then the photos shall prevail as the reference point. No allowance or set aside will be made on account of any incorrectness, unforeseen imperfection, defect or damage. It is the responsibility of the buyer to have satisfied himself as to the condition and value and to bid based upon that judgment solely. The seller shall and will make every reasonable effort to disclose any known defects at the buyer’s request prior to the close of the auction. Seller assumes no responsibility for any repairs regardless of any written or oral statements about the vehicle. Being a classic car in excess of 10 years of age, in most US states, the mileage may be recorded as “exempt”. In this regard the seller makes no warranties as to the accuracy of the mileage indicated or shown and accepts no responsibility for any discrepancy with independent reports such as Carfax, AutoCheck, etc. In this regard the seller makes no warranties as to the accuracy of the mileage indicated or shown. I can hold the vehicle up to 30 days while you arrange shipping but you must immediately insure it. I will not bear any responsibility for any additional costs including storage, transportation, or repair after the close of the auction. Whereas I am happy to store the car in excess of 30 days from auction end, a cost of $35 per day shall apply beyond 30 days of auction end. Also, you must remember that this is a classic +/-25 year old vehicle, and while it is up to you, I do not recommend that you just “hop in and drive it across the country”until you have familiarised yourself with the car. At least, I have never done that. I have always professionally transported the cars in enclosed carriers from where I bought them to my home. PLEASE; IF YOU ARE UNABLE TO ABIDE BY THESE TERMS, CONTACT ME BEFORE YOU CONTEMPLATE DOING SO AS, RESPECTFULLY, THERE CAN BE NO EXCEPTIONS. I am sorry if these terms seem harsh but there seem to be some very unrealistic buyers out there - fortunately, only few of these people exist but those that do can make life difficult, so it appears EVERYTHING needs to spelled out. Very simply put, this is an old car being offered for sale. It is not new and is subject to the perils of age. Further, Rolls-Royces are not without nuances, idiosyncrasies and they are renown for a host of design issues which can make them not inexpensive to maintain. This is well documented in many circles. You need to be a special and considerate type of purchaser to own a Rolls-Royce. Their down-side is part of the fun in owning them! As the old saying goes; "we love to hate them and hate to love them!" So, please respect the terms and conditions when you bid. ~~oo00oo~~ ~~ **Please note: As a professional collector and experienced restorer, I have my own Rolls-Royce dedicated workshop with qualified craftsmen on hand; The Park-Ward Motor Museum. As a passionate collector of the marque I take great pride and pleasure in passing on any of these great cars to its next owner (“caretaker”). In so doing, once this Rolls-Royce is sold, I will put the car thru my workshop to ensure that it is mechanically sound and all major features and functions are operating as described even though the car is contractually being sold "as-is". Certain items such as final electrical tests and hydraulic pressure checks are usually left for this stage as these are considered "commissioning procedures". In this case, this will include the air conditioning system of this car. This and considerable other work will be performed after the sale and before delivery. This is all done at NO CHARGE. Who else selling a Rolls-Royce on eBay does this?! Depending on our work load, please allow approximately 7-10 business days for this procedure. For more information on the Park-Ward Motor Museum and our skills, please eBay message me and I would be happy to show you some 100 Rolls-Royces restored to varying levels over the last few years ~~ VALUES: Rolls-Royce values vary wildly, entirely dependent on their condition. There are, of course, other aspects that add or subtract from their values – Long Wheel Base versus regular, the year which dictated certain technical changes, etc. The colour alone, for example can make a big difference. So for the benefit of new-comers to the marque please see the approximate guide to values based on a particular model below. Please remember, these are “plus-or-minus” figures: Year: 1977-1980 Make: Rolls-RoyceModel: Silver Shadow II Show car: $45,000+ Exceptional: $35-40,000 Excellent: $25-35,000 Good: $18-25,000 Average: $12-18,000 Fair: $6-12,000 Basket case: < $6,000 Hopefully this will provide a reference point for the Rolls-Royce being featured in this listing as it compares to the range of different condition examples. Please note, a very poor condition example that is tired and not maintained can easily demand some $30,000 in restoration to make it a "nice" example but remember, it will be no longer original. So don't be fooled by "cheap buys". For any specific questions about this unique example of a Rolls-Royce, please do not hesitate to contact me. According to the London based investment research firm; Historic Automobile Group International, classic cars have appreciated on average, 13% per year since 1980, whilst overall stock values averaged an 11% gain over the same period. The following graph charts the value of collectible cars vs. the S&P500.

Rolls-RoyceSilver Wraith II 1979 Bullet proof and armour plated! Here is a really interesting find for a Silver Wraith II. The car is a fully armour plated and bullet proof car bespoked specially for its owners who were avid car collectors and lovers of exotic cars. The owners; J.B. Nethercutt and his wife Dorothy Nethercutt purchased the Silver Wraith II new and had the full armament done. For those looking for some interesting "drug lord" and dictator stories will be disappointed, as the Nethercutts were the founders of a a large cosmetics company and not in any way "life threatened" (or not that we know!). They simply liked the idea of having an armour plated car. This Silver Wraith II is finished in 2-tone Walnut over Silver Sand with a mid tan vinyl top and fine lines in gold to the waist-rails. The interior is Biscuit tan with chocolate piping. The carpets are seat matching tan and the same colour theme carries through to the boot. On the rear doors, there are the faint markings of the owners initials. Originally hand painted but worn off thru polishing over the years. The Silver Wraith II is the long wheel base version of the Silver Shadow II. Easily identified by the same rear window (opera window) and standard fitment vinyl top, it is 4” longer in the rear door. This provides a noticeable increase in rear passenger space. This is a Californian and later a southern state car for most of its life so as a result, has been freed from the perils of harsh weather and is very clean underneath. It has always been well maintained and serviced and comes with its original manual. The Armour plating: The task of armour plating this example was monumental and involved some of the best components money could buy at the time. Kevlar, for example, is used widely throughout this car and one has to appreciate that it was only in 1971 that the product first came commercially available and as such, was very expensive. The cost of the armour plating to this Rolls-Royce is estimated at almost $100,000 in 1980. Specifications: 1-7/8 thick glass to front, rear and side windows Sealed glass on all doors except driver which allows for half opening. Each door has a bolt action lever that locks each door into the frame of the car. Not like a standard door lock, this bolt lock renders the door un-openable. The drivers door has a master solenoid to active all 4 (this feature is currently not functioning) Each door has a spring loaded steel plate "gun-port". Under attack, an individual simply pokes the barrel of his weapon into the gun port and shoots. The outer door skin on a Rolls-Royce is aluminium so the design is to simply "shoot thru the outer skin". All internal space is lined by Kevlar to offer maximum protection. As Kevlar is 5 times stronger than steel, the half inch of Kevlar used on this Rolls-Royce is technically equivalent to 2.5" thick steel plate. The trunk has an additional barrier of Kevlar and steel plate to protect the gas tank mounted behind the rear seat. The "double floor" of the trunk was used to conceal weapons. The front bumper conceals a 3" steel "girder" welded to the lower sub-frame so as to provide as a strong "battering ram" in a crisis situation The suspension on the car has been stengthened and stiffened for better handling and to support the estimate additional 2-3,000 lbs weight. The Silver Wraith II presented here has been work-shop inspected with all major work needed carried out. The most recent service just prior to listing included a complete rebuild of the hydraulics and brakes. This plus other mechanical work totalled $10,000 (full receipts available). The odometer shows a low 53,200 and although this is not verifiable, the mileage is commensurate with the condition. It is very quiet and smooth on the road without any of the typical “thumps” and “rattles” typical of poor (or even averagely) maintained examples of this model. She is surprisingly spritely given her additional weight. Overall the car is in nice condition but she is not a show car. Best described as a well maintained example that is neat and tidy but with various imperfections here and there. The paint is predominantly original but in hand with that is 40 year old paint technology and finish that is starting to show some blemishes. The vinyl top was changed at some stage and is not the original Everflex but is clean and nice presenting. The interior is "all together" but with the modifications as part of the armament, comes some compromise. The carpets had to be changed to accommodate a revised floor plan shape and so these are not the original Wilton wool. The seat cushions are also not factory finish and we are not sure why these were changed. The door woods were modified to accommodate the thicker glass and the surrounds to the front and rear window have modified trim to accommodate bullet-proofing materials. The factory wood on the dash and doors has some hairline cracks in the lacquer and various chips (rather typical for Rolls-Royce but considerably less than the average example). The car presents well overall but just to be clear, she is not show quality. We describe her as a good 7-8 out of 10. The bullet-proofing and armour plating are what make this car very cool of course and indeed quite unique. Given the eclectic nature of Rolls-Royce collectors and the uniqueness of the marque itself is what makes this car a desirable one to own. Not to mention if you have a real need to protect yourself - it all depends on how many enemies you have! ~~ This very interesting Silver Wraith II with armour plating and bullet protection is a very rare find and just the car you may need! Take her to your next Rolls-Royce meet and you will attract a lot of attention! ~~ Interesting information on the Silver Shadow series The “II” mark provided considerable improvement over the earlier Silver Shadow. In 1977, the model was renamed the Silver Wraith II (Shadow II) in recognition of several major changes, most notably rack and pinion steering, modifications to the front suspension which improved handling markedly, a dual exhaust along with the first-to-market fully automatic dual system air-conditioning system and a modernised and improved dash lay-out. The model represents the pinnacle in design features for the Silver Shadow series that started production in 1966. For extra photos on this fine example go to the link below. Please remember, these are “plus-or-minus” figures: Year: 1977-1980 Make: Rolls-Royce Model: Silver Wraith II Show car: $50,000+ Exceptional: $35-45,000 Excellent: $25-35,000 Good: $18-25,000 Average: $12-18,000 Fair: $6-12,000 Basket case: < $6,000 Hopefully this will provide a reference point for the Rolls-Royce being featured in this listing as it compares to the range of different condition examples. Rolls-Royce Silver Wraith II 1978 A stunning and beautiful presenting example! Presenting here, a really gorgeous example of a Silver Wraith II. Finished in Caribbean Blue with a light beige Everflex vinyl top and matching fine lines to the waist-rails. The interior has handsome beige Connolly hides and matching carpets. These are overlayed with lambs-wool overlay moutons. The same beige theme carries through to the boot. The Silver Wraith II is the long wheel base version of the Silver Shadow II. Easily identified by the same rear window (opera window) and standard fitment Everflex vinyl top, it is 4” longer in the rear door. This provides a noticeable increase in rear passenger space. This Wraith II has fitted factory optional chrome alloy wheels. These became available thru Rolls-Royce in 1981 but were considered an upgrade option to the Shadow series. This is an unmolested example that has been nicely maintained and presents in excellent condition. It is very original in presentation - right down to the original Blaupunkt "blue dot" radio and Pioneer 8 track cassette player. This was a west coast car most of its life so it is a “dry” example that has had a garaged environment. As a result, it has been freed from the perils of harsh weather and is very clean underneath. From 2000 onwards she resided in New York but was collector owned and kept dry and clean. It has always been well maintained and serviced and comes with its original manual. The Silver Wraith II presented here has been work-shop inspected where all work needed is carried out. Important costly items such as the hydraulics and brakes are fully inspected and serviced as required. This includes checking of all brake hoses and system pressure tested and bled. Brakes pumps have been rebuilt, new accumulators fitted, calipers and pads serviced. It is ready to drive and enjoy. The odometer shows a low 44,000 and although this is not verifiable, the mileage is commensurate with the condition (particularly when you look at the condition of the interior, under-hood, brake pedal etc). It is very quiet and smooth on the road without any of the typical “thumps” and “rattles” typical of lesser maintained examples of this model. The interior looks close to perfect. The beige leather is in absolutely outstanding condition with no tears nor fading and true to its Connolly characteristics. The leather really has been lovingly preserved. The burr walnut wood throughout the car is stunning. All the wood was redone to “factory standard” by Park-Ward at a cost of some $4,000. The process was done in accordance with the Rolls-Royce "multi-layer lacquering technique" which involves painstaking wet sanding and buffing by hand between all coats. The final finish on the wood throughout is simply stunning and is like glass. The burl walnut in this example has a deep red hue and is truly magnificent. The head lining is original and in average to good condition. The original Wilton wool carpets with leather binding are in good condition. Likewise is the dash and top-roll. The boot (trunk) carpet with the same theme is also in good condition. The body on this Wraith II is very straight and the paint is shiny and lustrous. The car was repainted some 10 years ago and was a very high quality job. When you look down the sides of the car, they are very straight and true. The paint presents beautifully with only very minimal marks and blemishes which suggests the car has had only minimal use over the last few years. Certainly, the paint needs nothing other than a wax from time to time. The Everflex vinyl top, standard fitment on all Wraith IIs, is brand new and was only replaced because of 2" cut mark on the passenger C pillar. The car has 235/75 white-wall tyres with plenty of tread and the chrome Rolls-Royce alloys are excellent with no imperfections in the rims themselves nor the centre caps. All remaining bright-work is in good condition. All electrics have been checked right down to the smallest and insignificant dash and courtesy light. Even the clock keeps good time! Under the bonnet, the presentation is amazing. It has not been precision detailed but simply kept clean and tidy throughout its life. The under-bonnet heat pads are the originals in good condition. As you would expect, this Wraith II comes with its original jack, correct tools and operating manual. The car is of very high standard and is an easy 9 out of 10 driver rating. ~~ This stately Wraith II is an excellent condition representation of the marque that is ready to be driven and enjoyed. It makes for an excellent driver for either everyday driving or sunny weekend enjoyment. Do nothing to her and take her to your next Rolls-Royce meet - you will attract considerable attention! ~~ International bidders are always welcome We are the largest sellers of classic Rolls-Royce over seas. Excellent presenting beige Connolly hides. Headliner in good condition - the marks you see is the glue the factory used that permeated thru the wool cloth. Prevalent on most Silver Shadows. Trunk is in excellent condition Factory Rolls-Royce alloy wheel option fitted. Under the hood like a 10 year example! Paint finish is exc4ellent - look at the deep reflection Tail lamps, chrome and badges in excellent condition Factory correct, hand painted pin-striping Elegant interior matching beige pin-striping hand-painted by an artisan in accordance with the Crewe tradition Brand new genuine Everflex top. A note from RRMOTORSINC: For those Rolls-Royce enthusiasts who have followed my auctions in the past I welcome you all. For those who are new to my adverts and/or the marque, please note that as a serious collector of some 30 years, all my cars are truly described examples. I have my own private Rolls-Royce workshop (not open to the public but dedicated to my own cars and fellow RR entusiasts) with trained Rolls-Royce craftsmen who are proficient in all aspects. To this end, I firmly believe in the famous adage; “Quality is remembered long after the price is forgotten.” We hope you do too.” We at Park-Ward Motors – the things we do. Should there be any legal dispute after the sale, (and I certainly hope there would never need to be!), all such disputes shall be determined in the jurisdiction of McHenry County, Illinois - the domicile of Park-Ward Motors. Normal 0 false false false EN-US JA X-NONE As a specialist with a long career working with Rolls-Royce, we know these cars extremely well. So when a car comes along that is truly special, we have to point it out. Pedigree Motorcars is proud to offer this spectacular 22,000 Silver Wraith II for sale. For details and further information, contact Ken Baker at 561-866-1601. We just acquired this magnificent Rolls-Royce. It’s a documented two owner Florida car with only 22,000 miles. Its previous owner purchased it in 1986 to keep at his home in Palm Beach. He used it for his visits to The Breakers and Mar A Lago where he was a member of both clubs. Always maintained to the highest standards, this is one of the finest driving examples we have ever encountered. In the past month, he spent over $5,000 having the braking system serviced. We also have records of him putting in a new AC control unit and regular servicing. Prior to our purchasing this Silver Wraith II, we had our local Rolls-Royce expert, Executive Motor Works, in Boca Raton, inspect the car. They verified all the reported work had been done, and only needed a few minor things. This is a Rolls-Royce that is without compromise. It still retains its lambswool rugs and rear foot rests and all are in exceptional condition. Included with the purchase of this Rolls-Royce are all of these original accessories: Complete set of owners books and owners leather caseIncluded are the owners manual, service book, warranty book, radio owners manual, AC hang tag, Radio operation hang tag, list of dealers, original tire warranty bookFull set of lambswool rugs in exceptional conditionRear seat foot rests2 master keysFull and complete tool kit-appears to be unusedJackActual miles title verifying the milesAvailable service records This is one of the most complete and original examples we have seen. This is the most desirable of Rolls-Royce sedans. The Silver Wraith II has 4" additional rear seat leg room as well as a smaller rear window over the standard Silver Shadow. We have driven this car almost 200 miles in the past week and it is performing without flaw. It also has the coldest Air conditioning we have ever seen in this generation. For the Rolls-Royce enthusiast and collector, this is a Silver Wraith not to pass on. Everything in the car works as it should and there are no modifications. Even the original radio and antenna work perfectly. At Pedigree we show cars by appointment only. Contact us to arrange your private showing of this truly exceptional 23,000 mile Silver Wraith II. Roll-Royce Silver Shadow II 1980 Original presentation and wonderful condition This is a very fine Silver Shadow II finished in 2-tone Caribbean blue over Peacock with dark blue fine-lines on the waistline and hubcap trim rings. The interior is finished in Navy blue with dove grey piping. This combination is rarely seen on Shadow IIs in the US. This is a very clean and original example that has been well cared for by its 2 previous mature owners of some 30 odd years. It is totally original with no modifications. It even has it original Blaupunkt blue-dot push button radio and factory Pioneer tape deck in its original position. A nice genuine touch. Mechanically this Silver Shadow II is strong. For the last 5 years it has been in the care of a classic car mechanic and, as you would expect, is a well maintained example. Under the care of the Park-Ward Motor museum, all our Rolls-Royces are fully work-shop tested including the all important hydraulics and braking system. These were overhauled where required; pumps, accumulators, reservoirs cleaned, lines & hoses replaced, calipers & pads inspected and system final pressure tested and bled. The level heights are correct. Transmission, engine ancillaries and exhaust are all inspected and the car road-tested for correct operation. The car drives very “tight” without any of the typical “rattles & thumps” typical of this model. The car is now all up to date on its services and EVERYTHING operating as it should. The body is straight and paint very shiny and consistent. Much of the top surfaces, for example, are original finish, which is quite rare and will please the enthusiasts. Of course, because of the predominantly factory paint, the car does have the signature hair-lines at the base of the “A” & “C” pillars (Rolls-Royce used the “lead-wiping” technique for joining body panels. With the different expansion and contraction rates of lead vs steel, this caused the paint to fracture and so paint stress marks at these points occurred on every single Silver Shadow). Overall, the car is minor on other blemishes and marks so presents well - certainly above average for a Rolls-Royce of this age. As a daily driver, the paint presents as a 8 or 9 out-of-10. The interior presents very clean and fresh with the leather in an excellent state. It has been mildly re-Connollised (a hand-rubbing process to restore colour) and is in fine condition without any noticeable wear and tear. The Connolly hide in this example is the Navy blue with Dove grey piping which matches in nicely with the 2-tone exterior paint combination. The wood was redone we are guessing some 2-3 years ago, not by Park-Ward, but presents nicely without any fractures in the lacquer. The dash roll is in excellent condition with no leather pulling at the vents. This is one of the best testaments for the cars garaged and stored status for most of its life as over time, even minimal sun will damage these. All features, gauges, instruments and electrics work well. All interior lights and dash lights are all fully working. Heater and air-conditioning are fully functional. These are all thoroughly gone thru by Park-Ward. For example, we service all the windows to ensure smooth and swift up and down movement (windows often get very slow on Silver Shadows). The mileage, although not verifiable by documentation, is evident when you look closely at the various finishes. For example, the chrome and bright-work around the car is excellent. The brake pedal has minimal wear. This is a hard car to fault and drives very strong. As you would expect from a car of this mileage that has been well maintained, it comes with its original manual, tools and jack. ~~ This is a lovely example of the Silver Shadow II marque which presents very well in its rare Caribbean over Peacock colour combination. It is not a show car but an excellent 8-out-of-10 daily driver that is in all-round well above average condition. It is available for immediate enjoyment and admiration. **PLEASE read auction terms and conditions below BEFORE bidding.** ~~oo00oo~~ This Rolls-Royce is part of a private collection. As the old saying goes; "we love to hate them and hate to love them!" So, please respect the terms and conditions when you bid.~~ **Please note: This Rolls-Royce is part of the collection of the Park-Ward Motor Museum. As a professional collector and experienced restorer and I have my own Rolls-Royce dedicated workshop with qualified craftsmen on hand. As a passionate collector of the marque I take great pride and pleasure in passing on any of my cars to its next owner (“caretaker”). In so doing, once this Rolls-Royce is sold, I will put the car back thru my workshop to ensure that it is mechanically sound and all major features and functions are operating as described even though the car is contractually being sold "as-is". Certain items such as final electrical tests and hydraulic pressure checks are usually left for this stage as these are considered "commissioning procedures". This and considerable other work will be performed after the sale and before delivery to ensure the car is in excellent order. This all done at NO CHARGE. Who else selling a Rolls-Royce on eBay does this?! This provides the buyer the peace of mind to purchase with complete confidence. Depending on our work load, please allow approximately 7-10 business days for this procedure. For more information on the Park-Ward Motor Museum and their skills, please contact me thru my eBay home page where I can direct you to see some 100 Rolls-Royces restored to varying levels over the last few years. ~~ ~~oo00oo~~ VALUES: Rolls-Royce values vary wildly, entirely dependent on their condition. There are, of course, other aspects that add or subtract from their values – Long Wheel Base versus regular, the year which dictated certain technical changes, etc. The colour alone, for example can make a big difference. So for the benefit of new-comers to the marque please see the approximate guide to values based on a particular model below. Please remember, these are “plus-or-minus” figures: Year: 1977-1980 Make: Rolls-Royce Model: Silver Shadow II Show car: $45,000+ Exceptional: $35-40,000 Excellent: $25-35,000 Good: $18-25,000 Average: $12-18,000 Fair: $6-12,000 Basket case: < $6,000 Hopefully this will provide a reference point for the Rolls-Royce being featured in this listing as it compares to the range of different condition examples. The following graph charts the value of collectible cars vs. the S&P500. ~~oo00oo~~ "RRMOTORSINC": Qualified & experienced in Rolls-Royce and Bentley motor cars world-wide for more than 30 years

Rolls-Royce : Other 4 DOOR 1979 Rolls Royce Silver Wraith II (Long Wheel Base) ONLY 34,300 ACTUAL MILES Books/Records/Tools and Jack Babied and well maintanied since it came home from the dealership, this Rolls has been serviced at every scheduled interval at the local Rolls dealer Braman Motors in Miami, Florida. At the time these Wraiths were the most expensive of the Rolls Royce Motorcar line. All were hand built of which 2145 were produced and only 624 making it to the US market. It is complemented by a tan top and a monotone tan leather interior with a beautiful Acrylic White exterior. As you can see in the pictures the car is spectacularly preserved, the wood trims are all rich and free of cracks or fading. The leather is plush and lovely along with the wool headliner and carpets. The car runs soft and smooth, the transmission shifts perfectly and the ac blows cold. This is a Florida owned car and was maintained correctly as shown in the service stamps. This rolls has been gone through and everything that was always serviced as needed was always addressed on time. It has always been garaged and it shows. The leather is all original with no dryness or cracking, the wood is in great condition as well. It is complete with original owners manuals, brochures, original rear foot rests, and incredible service history. The car is all matching numbers. Constant development had resulted in a variety of improvements having been incorporated into the models from the Silver Shadow range. Having added a few important new features was the reason why Rolls-Royce choose new designations for models delivered from February 1977 onward. As the mainstream model the Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow II substituted the previous model and the Rolls-Royce Silver Wraith II was added. The latter's long wheelbase offered four inches more space for rear seat passengers and in fact this model was the successor of the Silver Shadow long wheelbase. The new rack and pinion steering in combination with a modified front suspension reacted more quickly than the recirculating ball steering of the earlier models. All in all however these were interim models helping to bridge the gap until a new model generation was developed for production. The best part about this generation of Rolls Royce are that they were built to last forever if maintained correctly. They have an absolute indestructible engine, The next owner of this Wraith II will be very pleased and proud to own it. This Wraith II has no stories or issues whatsoever, shipping can be arranged right to your doorstep upon request. **** Rare fuel injected model **** Rolls-Royce Silver Wraith II 1980 Rare Fuel Injection Model! The fuel injected series is identified by the rear exhaust pipespositioned on both sides of the car. H ere is a really fine and very original example of a Silver Wraith II. It is the rare fuel injection model built specifically and only for the Californian market. These were only built in 1980 – the last year of the Silver Shadow model run. This one is production run 41,624C – the “C” suffix is for California fuel injection model. With the last Silver Shadow/Wraith II being 41,648C, this car is the 24th last Silver Shadow model made! The Silver Wraith II is the long wheel base version of the Silver Shadow II. Easily identified by the same rear window (opera window) and standard fitment Everflex vinyl top, it is 4” longer in the rear door. This provides a noticeable increase in rear passenger space. This is a one family owner car, bought new by famous Detroit Lions football player, Mel Farr. He debuted in 1967 and last played in 1973. He later opened a Ford dealership (1975) that came to be number 1 in the US with some $600 million in sales in its prime year. Obviously a successful man in his time, the Rolls-Royce would have been his ultimate vehicle. The car was passed on to his mature son in later years but has always remained in the 1 family ownership. It was obviously rarely driven sporting a low 32,000 miles. The sale does include an autographed photo of Mel Farr (see photo link). This Silver Wraith II is finished in original Nutmeg metallic with a unique order of dual colour fine-lines of cream and gold to the waist-rail. The interior is very elegant light tan Connolly hides with chocolate coloured piping with carpets in the reverse them of chocolate and cream piping. This is a very clean and unmolested example that has clearly been lovingly maintained all its life. It is totally original with no modifications right down to its original Blaupunkt push button radio and Pioneer cassette player. A pampered Rolls-Royce, having lived all its life in southern states and when not in use, always kept in a garaged environment. It has always been well maintained and serviced and comes with its original manual. The Silver Wraith II presented here has been recently fully work-shop inspected with all work needed carried out. Important costly items such as the hydraulics and brakes have been fully checked. It is ready to drive and enjoy. The odometer shows a low 33,000 odd miles and although not verifiable it is very apparent by the overall condition of the car that they are original. The car drives straight and true with the fuel injection version offering added engine and driving smoothness. Brand new Hankook whitewalls have been fitted since the photos. The interior looks close to perfect. The leather is in absolutely outstanding original condition with no cracks, tears nor wear and remains supple and soft – true to its Connolly characteristics – and can be truly described as excellent if not perfect. The leather has never even been redyed. The burr walnut wood finishes throughout are completely original and this is rare to see on any Silver Shadow as they usually are losing their lacquer coating and present cracked and chipped. The wood in this car, although showing some very minor signs of this, is in impeccable condition. Head lining is original and in super clean condition. The Westminster carpets are in perfect condition. The boot (trunk) carpet also finished in the brown with tan piping theme is also in good condition. The body on this Wraith II is straight and the paint is shiny and lustrous. The car had some small areas repainted over the years but much is original. With originality comes the typical Rolls-Royce "lead-wiping" fractures that is part-and-parcel of all Silver Shadows. These are limited to base of the A & C pillars as expected. In addition, there are odd and subtle marks from mild use with some minor blemishes here and there as you would expect but it is overall consistent, still remains shiny & crisp and presents nicely – certainly, well above average. The Everflex vinyl top is original and presents well but with some age blemishes on a small section above the top of the windshield. Depending on the negotiated price, we are happy to replace. Please call to discuss. The whitewall tyres are in good condition with plenty of tread. The hubcaps, unique to the Wraith II, are excellent with no dents or imperfections. All remaining bright-work is in good condition as is glass, electrics and instruments. All electrics have been checked right down to the smallest and insignificant dash and courtesy light. The typical “slow window” syndrome typical of the model have been repaired and so all operate well. Under the bonnet, the presentation is amazing. It has not been precision detailed but simply kept clean and tidy throughout its life. You must take the time to look at the photos of the engine bay as its presentation is like that of a near new example. Simply stunning! The car is of very high standard and is an easy driver standard 10 out of 10 rating. ~~ This stately Silver Wraith II is an excellent condition representation of the marque that is ready to be driven and enjoyed. It makes for an excellent driver or point of discussion at your next Rolls-Royce meet! ~~ Interesting information on the Silver Shadow/Wraith II series The “II” mark provided considerable improvement over the earlier Silver Shadow. A 1980 Fuel injected Silver Shadow II and Wraith II are externally identified by dual exhausts positioned on both sides of the car. For extra photos on this fine example go to the link below. Depending on our work load, please allow approximately 14-21 business days for this procedure. Please remember, these are “plus-or-minus” figures: Year: 1980 EFI cars Make: Rolls-RoyceModel: Silver Wraith II Show car: $50,000+ Exceptional: $40-50,000 Excellent: $30-40,000 Good: $20-30,000 Average: $15-20,000 Fair: $10-15,000 Basket case: < $10,000 Hopefully this will provide a reference point for the Rolls-Royce being featured in this listing as it compares to the range of different condition examples. 1980 Rolls-Royce Silver Wraith II with mere 9300 miles. The Silver Wraith II is the luxurious, top of the line, long wheel base model of the Silver Shadow series that ended in 1980. Built in November of 1980, this vehicle is part of the last batch of Silver Wraith IIs that left the factory. It was built with the double SU HIF7 carburetors, which are very desirable, in lieu of the soon-to-arrive, very slow, Jetronic fuel injection. Gorgeous colorscheme, Willow Gold over Masons Black, with tan interior. Paint, leather and woodwork in amazing condition. The paint could use a good polish, and there is a small dent/chip on the right fender, but that does not compromise the great looks of this car. I chose not to repair the chip, in order to maintain authenticity. Everything works: power windows, locks, seats and antenna; all instruments, gages, and warning lights and buzzers. And even the sophisticated automatic air conditioning, the speed control and the clock. Optional RH rearview mirror. Original Michelin tires in incredibly good condition. Jack, tools and spare wheel were probably never used. Original sealed beams, sheepskin overlays, Blaupunkt radio and Pioneer cassette player. Cigarette lighters were never used. The only item it did not come out of the factory with is a genuine Rolls-Royce Battery Master Switch, which is not just useful, but indispensable for a car that is not driven often. Recently serviced by a local RR specialist, fresh engine oil and filter and antifreeze. No hydraulic issues, still running on RR363. Drives like a dream. Smooth idle and shifting, lots of power. Easy to start, cold and hot. Factory buildsheets, spare key, toolkit, owner’s handbooks set and pouch. I’m selling it because I like to drive my cars, and I feel sorry to keep adding mileage to it. It should be in an important collection or museum. The pictures and the description are not artistic, the car does not need that, and I’m not a sales professional. The car has a clear title in my name and is currently registered in FL. I’m not a dealer, so no trades, sorry. It’s a pre-owned, 36-year-old car, so no warranties, no refunds, no returns. Sold as is, where is. Inspections done by Rolls-Royce specialists are VERY welcome. For further information, please use eBay messaging. Thank you for your interest.

Rolls-Royce Silver Wraith II 1979 A stunning and beautiful presenting example! Here is a stunningly beautiful Silver Wraith II that is a multiple show winning example. Finished in Silver Sand over Walnut with a dark chocolate Everflex vinyl top and matching fine lines to the waist-rails. The interior has handsome "dark chocolate" Connolly hides with tan piping and contrasting light tan carpets. with matching chocolate leather binding. The same tan and chocolate binding theme carries through to the boot. The car has a brand set of Rolls-Royce moutons fitted. The Silver Wraith II is the long wheel base version of the Silver Shadow II. Easily identified by the same rear window (opera window) and standard fitment Everflex vinyl top, it is 4” longer in the rear door. This provides a noticeable increase in rear passenger space. This is an absolutely gorgeous car and amongst the best we have had in our many years with Rolls-Royce. A totally unmolested example that has been exquisitely maintained and presents in excellent condition. It is all original with no modifications - right down to the original Blaupunkt "blue dot" radio/ cassette player. This was a west coast car all its life so it is a “dry” car that has had a garaged environment. As a result, it has been freed from the perils of harsh weather and is very clean underneath. It has always been well maintained and serviced and comes with its original manual. The Silver Wraith II presented here has been fully work-shop inspected by the Park-Ward Motors Mueum with all work needed carried out. Important costly items such as the hydraulics and brakes are fully inspected and serviced as required. This includes checking of all brake hoses and system pressure tested and bled. It is ready to drive and enjoy. The odometer shows a low 62,000 original miles, although the car looks like she has done 10,000 (particularly when you look at the condition of the interior, under-hood, brake pedal etc). She is a very solid car; incredibly quiet and smooth on the road without any of the typical “thumps” and “rattles” typical of poor (or even averagely) maintained examples of this model. We would be as confident to say that she is one of the best driving Silver Wraith IIs we have had. As recently quoted by an independent long time Rolls-Royce aficionado and respected enthusiast; “For the record, that '79 Silver Wraith II currently for sale by Park-Ward Motors is the best driving Shadow era car that I have ever driven. Full Stop. End of story. It is the best there is. ....... Whoever gets that car is getting a real gem.” The interior looks close to perfect. The dark chocolate leather is in absolutely outstanding condition with no tears nor fading and true to its Connolly characteristics. The leather really has been lovingly preserved. The burr walnut wood throughout the car is stunning. All the wood was redone to “factory standard” by a leading California wood re-finisher at a cost of some $4,000. The process was done in accordance with the Rolls-Royce "multi-layer lacquering technique" which involves painstaking wet sanding and buffing by hand between all coats. The final finish on the wood throughout is simply stunning and is like glass. And, you have to thank Mother Nature for its beauty. The grain and pattern with lights and darks makes it one of the most beautiful Rolls-Royce woods I have ever seen. Absolutely stunning! The head lining is new exact factory broad cloth wool imported in from the UK and in "as new" condition. The original Wilton wool carpets with leather binding are in excellent condition protected and cosseted by a new set of genuine Rolls-Royce moutons in matching brown. Likewise is the leather finish to the dash and top-roll. The boot (trunk) carpet with the same theme is also in excellent condition. The body on this Wraith II is straight and the paint is shiny and lustrous. The car was repainted some 5 years ago and was a stunningly high quality job (in excess of $20,000). The finish is entirely consistent. When you look down the sides of the car, they are laser straight and true. The paint presents beautifully with no marks or blemishes whatsoever which only further confirms her minimal use and coddled life - climate controlled for many a year! The Everflex vinyl top, standard fitment on all Wraith IIs, is excellent. The car has factory specification Avon tyres in excellent condition. These make all Rolls-Royce cars ride like a dream and at over $2,000 a set, you would certainly hope so. The hubcaps are excellent with no imperfections in the stainless rings or caps. All remaining bright-work is in good condition. All electrics have been checked right down to the smallest and insignificant dash and courtesy light. Even the clock keeps good time! Under the bonnet, the presentation is amazing. It has not been precision detailed but simply kept clean and tidy throughout its life. The under-bonnet heat pads are like new! You must take the time to look at the photos of the engine bay as its presentation is like that of only a 2 or 3 year old example. Simply stunning! As you would expect, this Wraith II comes with its original jack, correct tools and operating manual. The car is of very high standard and is an easy 10 out of 10 driver rating and a "no argument" 9 out of 10 show car. ~~ This stately Wraith II is an excellent condition representation of the marque that is ready to be driven and enjoyed. It makes for an excellent driver for either everyday driving or sunny weekend enjoyment. Do nothing to her and take her to your next Rolls-Royce meet - you will attract considerable attention and earn some award. We know you will because she already has! ~~ For extra photos on this fine example go to the link below. A note from RRMOTORSINC: For those Rolls-Royce enthusiasts who have followed my auctions in the past I welcome you all. For those who are new to my adverts and/or the marque, please note that as a serious collector of some 30 years, all my cars are truly described examples. **PLEASE read auction terms and conditions below BEFORE bidding.** ~~oo00oo~~ This Rolls-Royce is part of a private collection. ~~ **Please note: As a professional collector and experienced restorer, I have my own Rolls-Royce dedicated workshop with qualified craftsmen on hand; The Park-Ward Motor Museum. The photos are of super high resolution so if you right click on any, you can zoom in and see every little detail and defect in considerable detail. Click HERE to see additional photos! **PLEASE read auction terms and conditions below BEFORE bidding.** ~~oo00oo~~ This Rolls-Royce is part of a private collection. Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow II 1977 A stunning and beautiful presenting example! Here is a really beautiful and original looking example of a Silver Shadow II. Finished in Garnet with a rich burgundy Everflex vinyl top and matching fine lines to the waist-rails and hubcap beauty rings. "Garnet" is an interestingly beautiful colour in that it takes on a rich blood-red hue under strong sunlight but then transforms into a deep plum-black at night, giving the car a very formal appearance. The interior has elegant light tan (beige) Connolly hides with matching Wilton carpets. This is a wonderful example that has been nicely maintained and presents in very fine condition. It is primarily all original - right down to the original Blaupunkt push button radio and separate cassette player. This was a south-western state car (Texas and Arizona) all its life so it is a “dry” car that has had a garaged environment. As a result, it has been freed from the perils of harsh weather and is very clean underneath. It has all the evidence of a well maintained example. This Silver Shadow II has been work-shop inspected by Park-Ward Motors with all work needed carried out. Important costly items such as the hydraulics and brakes are fully inspected and serviced as required. This includes flushing the system and new fluid, checking of all pumps, accumulators, rotors, calipers, brake hoses and system pressure tested and bled. It is ready to drive and enjoy. The odometer shows a low 61,000 and although this is not verifiable, the mileage is commensurate with the condition. It is very quiet and smooth on the road without any of the typical “thumps” and “rattles” typical of poor (or even averagely) maintained examples of this model. Mechanically the car is subject to the strong reputation of Park-Ward Motors which is responsible for any and all refurbishment, repairs, maintenance and service. Far too much to list here but we go over every single mechanical and operational part of the car to ensure all is in good shape and conforms with Rolls-Royce standards. If anything is found to be faulty, it is repaired and attended to responsibly and professionally to ensure good working condition. This includes the complex hydraulic and braking system which can be a costly repair if not attended to professionally by experts such as ourselves. We go through the whole system bringing it up to date with maintenance and service. The interior presents extremely well with original Connolly hides as used exclusively by Rolls-Royce. There is some light creasing on the driver seat back rest but it is the typical patina you expect and looks nice. The wood has all been refinished by Park-Ward which involves a labour intensive process of some 20+ coats of clear lacquer. This includes the complete dash, all 4 doors and the rear passenger vanity mirrors. The process was done in accordance with the Rolls-Royce "multi-layer lacquering technique" which involves painstaking wet sanding and buffing by hand between all coats. The final finish on the wood throughout is simply stunning. Carpets are good and headliner in fine condition. There are minor marks on the headliner over the rear seat which is a result of Rolls-Royce methods of gluing the headliner in place. This is typical to all cars and simply mentioned for clear disclosure. The original Wilton wool carpets with leather binding are in good condition. Likewise is the leather finish to the dash and top-roll. The boot (trunk) carpet with the same theme is good condition. The body on this Shadow II is very straight and the paint is shiny and lustrous. The car was repainted some 5-10 years ago and presents well. There are some small chips, marks and blemishes but only minor and less than typical for the age. There are some stress cracks in the paint in various places caused by Rolls-Royces’ method of “lead wiping” which is typical and common to the Silver Shadow series. These are not objectionable and the car presents with a glossy and consistent finish. The paint is not perfect but presents nicely and shiny for driver use. A new Everflex vinyl top was fitted by Park-Ward and this looks very regal. As part of preparing the car, all the chrome and bright work was removed and machine buffed then hand polished prior to reassembly. This includes the grill, headlight surrounds, bumpers, side mouldings, internal door scuff plates and kick panels and all 4 hubcaps. Upon final assembly all retaining screws are “aligned” in the Rolls-Royce tradition. The polishing process makes the car look like new. The car has near new whitewall 235/75/15 high quality Goodyears fitted and the hubcaps are excellent with no imperfections in the stainless or beauty rings. All electrics have been checked right down to the smallest and insignificant dash and courtesy light. The car is of very high standard and is an easy 8 out of 10 driver rating. ~~ This very regal Silver Shadow II is an excellent representation of the marque that is ready to be driven and enjoyed. It makes for an excellent every day driver or sunny weekender. Take her to your next Rolls-Royce meet with pride and pleasure! ~~ Interesting information on the Silver Shadow II series: The “II” mark provided considerable improvement over the earlier Silver Shadow. This particular Silver Shadow II is the 133rd Silver Shadow II off the production line and so represents one of the first of some 10,000 built of the series. To this end, I firmly believe in the famous adage; “Quality is remembered long after the price is forgotten.” We hope you do too.” We at Park-Ward Motors – the things we do. Doors and windows:- When our Rolls-Royces are commissioned for resale, they are indeed professionally and correctly “fully work-shopped”. No corners are cut. And it is all addressed in true Crewe tradition. There is way too much to list here but to give you an example of our commitment to excellence of the various processes, this is one such example of what we do: Every car has its interior door panels removed. **PLEASE read auction terms and conditions below BEFORE bidding.** ~~oo00oo~~ This Rolls-Royce is part of a private collection. Bentley T2 The ultimate of the Bentley T/Shadow from Crewe 1979 A stunning and beautiful presenting example! Here is a really stunning example of a Bentley T2. Finished in white with black fine lines to the waist-rails. The interior has handsome "dark chocolate" Connolly hides and matching dark brown carpets. The same chocolate theme carries through to the boot. Only a very small number of Bentley T2s were made. They are the twin sister to the Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow II. It is differentiated by a Bentley radiator grille, mascot and "Flying B". It has a slightly lower bonnet (hood) with different shaping in the sheet metal and with the car having “Bentley” hubcaps, boot and head-light brow badging. Their limited number is notable; out of the 10,000 odd Shadow IIs manufactured (including their long wheel base derivatives; the Wraith II) only 5% were Bentley T2s. This makes them highly desirable in their category. Especially when you consider the even smaller amount that are left remaining – probably only 200 world-wide. This is an unmolested example that has been beautifully maintained and presents in excellent condition. It is primarily all original with no modifications - right down to the original Blaupunkt "blue dot" radio. This was a west coast car all its life so it is a “dry” car that has had a garaged environment. As a result, it has been freed from the perils of harsh weather and is very clean underneath. It has always been well maintained and serviced and comes with its original manual. The Bentley T2 presented here has been work-shop inspected with all work neededcarried out. Important costly items such as the hydraulics and brakes are fully inspected and serviced as required. This includes checking of all brake hoses and system pressure tested and bled. It is ready to drive and enjoy. The odometer shows a low 75,800 and although this is not verifiable, the mileage is commensurate with the condition (particularly when you look at the condition of the interior, under-hood, brake pedal etc). The car easily looks like it has done only 30,000! It is very quiet and smooth on the road without any of the typical “thumps” and “rattles” typical of poor (or even averagely) maintained examples of this model. The interior looks close to perfect. The dark chocolate leather is in absolutely outstanding condition with no tears nor fading and true to its Connolly characteristics. The leather really has been lovingly preserved. The burr walnut wood throughout the car is stunning. All the wood was redone to “factory standard” by a leadingCalifornia wood re-finisher at a cost of some $4,000. The head lining is original and in perfect condition. The originalWilton wool carpets with leather binding are in excellent condition. Likewise is the leather finish to the dash and top-roll. Even the boot (trunk) carpet with the same theme is in excellent condition. The exterior presentation of this Bentley T2 is simply breath-taking. The body is exceptionally straight and the paint is of excellent high standard and finish. The paint is so shiny and lustrous it is hard to believe it is original and yet there are no signs of it. The finish is entirely consistent with almost no marks or blemishes. Certainly, the paint needs nothing other than a wax from time to time. The car has near new Hankook white-wall tyres fitted with plenty of tread and the hubcaps are excellent with no imperfections in the stainless rings or caps. All remaining bright-work is in good condition. This T2 has the option of exterior rear-view mirrors on both doors. All electrics have been checked right down to the smallest and insignificant dash and courtesy light. Even the clock keeps good time! Under the bonnet, the presentation is amazing. It has not been precision detailed but simply kept clean and tidy throughout its life. The under-bonnet heat pads are like new! You must take the time to look at the photos of the engine bay as its presentation is like that of only a 5 year old example. Simply stunning! As you would expect, this Bentley T2 comes with its original jack, correct tools and operating manual. The car is of very high standard and is an easy 9 out of 10 driver rating. ~~ This stately Wraith II is an excellent condition representation of the marque that is ready to be driven and enjoyed. It makes for an excellent driver for either everyday driving or sunny weekend enjoyment. Do nothing to her and take her to your next Rolls-Royce & Bentley meet - you will attract considerable attention and be "prize-worthy"! ~~ Interesting information on the Silver Shadow II-BentleyT2 series The Silver Shadow “II” and T "2" marks provided considerable improvement over the earlier Silver Shadow and Bentley T. In 1977, the model was renamed in recognition of several major changes, most notably rack and pinion steering, modifications to the front suspension which improved handling markedly, a dual exhaust along with the first-to-market fully automatic dual system air-conditioning system and a modernised and improved dash lay-out. The model represents the pinnacle in design features for the Silver Shadow series that started production in 1966. For extra photos on this fine example go to the link below. Because most of my cars are offered for the pleasures of driving enjoyment it is not always possible or practical to seek perfection (in the true sense of the word) but we do always uphold excellence in whatever we do. Our cars are by no means cheap priced cars but we like to think they are amongst the best. To this end, I firmly believe in the famous adage; “Quality is remembered long after the price is forgotten.” We hope you do to.” RRMOTORSINC is a division of Park-Ward Motors and The Park-Ward Motors Museum. We can always be reached at +1-312-320-6996. *We at Park-Ward Motors – the things we do. When our Rolls-Royces & Bentleys are commissioned for resale, they are indeed professionally and correctly “fully work-shopped”. If not paid, or if no contact is received within that period, we reserve the right to offer the car to any other party.~~ ~~oo00oo~~ This Bentley is part of a private collection. This is the nature of any classic car and especially a Rolls-Royce and Bentley which was very "complicated" for its era. For this reason it is necessary for the following condition:The vehicle is being sold "as-is/where-is" with no warranty expressed, written or implied. Further, Rolls-Royces& Bentleys are not without nuances, idiosyncrasies and they are renown for a host of design issues which can make them not inexpensive to maintain. This is well documented in many circles. You need to be a special and considerate type of purchaser to own a Rolls-Royce or Bentley. Their down-side is part of the fun in owning them! As the old saying goes; "we love to hate them and hate to love them!" So, please respect the terms and conditions when you bid.~~ **Please note: This Rolls-Royce~Bentley is part of the collection of the Park-Ward Motor Museum. ~~ VALUES: Classic Rolls-Royce & Bentley values vary wildly, entirely dependent on their condition. There are, of course, other aspects that add or subtract from their values – Long Wheel Base versus regular, the year which dictated certain technical changes, etc. The colour alone, for example can make a big difference. So for the benefit of new-comers to the marque please see the approximate guide to values based on a particular model below. Please remember, these are “plus-or-minus” figures: Year: 1977-1980 Make: Bentley Model: T2 Show car: $60,000+ Exceptional: $40-60,000 Excellent: $30-40,000 Good: $20-30,000 Average: $15-20,000 Fair: $10-15,000 Basket case: < $10,000 Hopefully this will provide a reference point for the Bentley being featured in this listing as it compares to the range of different condition examples. Please note, a very poor condition example that is tired and not maintained can easily demand some $30,000 in restoration to make it a "nice" example but remember, it will be no longer original. So don't be fooled by "cheap buys". For any specific questions about this unique example of a Bentley, please do not hesitate to contact me. According to the London based investment research firm; Historic Automobile Group International, classic cars have appreciated on average, 13% per year since 1980, whilst overall stock values averaged an 11% gain over the same period. Bentley T2 The ultimate of the Bentley T/Shadow from Crewe 1978 Fully restored to factory original specifications – an absolute stunner! This is "the" most desirable colour combination Bentley T2, finished in Mason's black with hand-painted fine lines in ivory to the waist lines and the hubcap beauty rings. The Connolly interior is finished in ebony throughout with accented ivory piping to the seats. This Bentley T2 is a stunning example that has recently been fully restored by Park-Ward Motors - a leader in Rolls-Royce restoration with over 30 years Rolls-Royce and Bentley experience. Indeed; "Masters of the Art". Only a very small number of Bentley T2s were made. They are the twin sister to the Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow II. It is differentiated by a Bentley radiator grille, mascot and "Flying B". It has a slightly lower bonnet (hood) with different shaping in the sheet metal and further distinguished with “Bentley” hubcaps, boot and head-light brow badging. The exterior presentation of this Bentley T2 is simply breath-taking. The body is exceptionally straight and the paint is of excellent high standard and finish. It was repainted at considerable cost thru Park-Ward's body-shop. The car was bare metal re-sprayed with front and rear windows out and fully stripped of all body mouldings, bumpers, lights and fittings. The final finish is flat finish consistent, very shiny and deep lustered and, being new, is without any scratches, chips or dings of any kind (any slight mark you may see in the photos is a refection or dust which "stands out" on a black car). The fine lines were hand-painted by one of our craftsman of the art and these are done on the waist-rails and hubcap beauty trim rings in strict accordance with Rolls-Royce factory procedures - using only the finest quality squirrel tail brushes and done entirely by hand and a good eye. Considerable attention to detail during the restoration process was dedicated to the finishing touches including many new mouldings, front and rear window rubbers, seals, gaskets, body finishing rubbers and fasteners. All the lights, indicator lenses and tail lamp lenses are brand new. The car actually presents much nicer in real-life than it does in the photographs (usually it is the other way round) – the photos tend to down-play the "depth" of the new Mason black finish which is simply stunning! The burl walnut wood finishes were redone at considerable cost by Park-Ward's Rolls-Royce wood restoration experts and they present in excellent original Rolls-Royce condition. The finish is like glass with no less than 20 coats of clear lacquer, each hand-rubbed between coats. Thanks to the grace of Mother Nature, the burl is very dark, rich and intense and with its mirror finish is deep and inviting. It contrasts perfectly with the black interior. Special attention was given to choose a rich flame-red colour staining to highlight the dark leathers. The finish can only be best appreciated in real-life by "touch & feel", not to mention "smell", with the perfumery of rich leather and wool. The Connolly leather is in stunning condition throughout without any marks or blemishes. It is finished in ebony (black) with ivory (a very light cream) piping. The interior is an elegant contrast with the black exterior. The leather was in excellent condition to commence with but has been put thru Park-Wards re-Connollising process (a detailed hand-finish colour- tanning process which ensures an original finish and presentation). Carpets are brand new original specification Wilton wool flown in from the UK with the correct hand-crafted leather edging carried out by our experienced Rolls-Royce motor trimmers. Even the boot carpet was completely redone in correct Wilton wool with same leather binding as per factory specification. The hood-lining and rear parcel shelf is also brand new finished in a very light grey broad-cloth (also flown in from the UK for this restoration). Nothing is out of place and presents brilliantly. Please have a look at the photo link of the many close-ups of the leather, carpets and headliner. The dash is perfect with no leather pulling typically seen around the vents. The interior can comfortably be referred to as "perfect". All glass, chrome and bright work are excellent. All lights, instruments, features and functions are in working order. The clock ticks as it should! Mechanically, it has been thoroughly checked with anything requiring attention repaired and/or replaced as required. Everything is functioning as it should including every aspect of the hydraulics & brakes - bled and pressure tested with various parts replaced/over-hauled (reservoir, pumps, accumulator, hoses etc). All electrics; seats, windows, gauges and instruments work well. The climate control is in good order with the heater nice and hot and the air conditioning blowing icy cold - just as it should. Brand new whitewall tires are fitted all-round and these have travelled fewer than 100 road-test miles. The car came to us with its original Avon Turbo-steel tyres which, on Bentleys, were without whitewalls to give the more "sporty" look. I elected for a set of whitewalls which I think are more befitting of the marque. (Should an interested buyer prefer the original Avons, arrangements can be made for their supply). In keeping with the sporting tradition of Bentley (as per UK specifications), this vehicle has had its US anti-pollution configuration disengaged. As a result, it drives like a rocket and idles so smooth that at stand still, you have to remind yourself the car is still running. Please check the requirements of your state and if you need to meet local smog requirements, please let us know so we can reinstall the factory smog equipment. As expected of a fine example, the car comes with its correct jack, tools and operating manual. At 76,000 miles, the mileage is not verifiable but the current condition makes it look like 6,000 miles irrespectively. It is very important to note, this Bentley has NOT been "tarted-up" but professionally restored with all aspects attended to correctly and with pride and passion by craftsmen in all aspects Rolls-Royce. New paint ($15,000), re-Connollised leather ($4,000), wood re-French polished ($3,000), interior headlining and carpets ($7,000), completely workshop inspected and mechanically over-hauled where required. Even the stainless and bright-work were completely removed and hand-polished off the vehicle and again when assembled and mounted (headlight brows, grill, bumpers, side mouldings, hubcaps, door sill mouldings). The car is an extremely beautiful presenting example that is well in advance of any Bentley T2 and is in excellent driver condition. It easily ranks a 10 out of 10 driver standard and is show quality having had over $40,000 spent on her during the restoration process. ~~ This very stately Bentley T2 fashioned appropriately in Mason's black is in excellent condition and would be amongst the finest representations of the marque. It is a perfect museum candidate. It is so stunning, it could easily be driven as-is to your next Rolls-Royce meet with great pride and draw considerable attention! ~~ For extra photos on this fine example go to the link below.
