A deep chin splitter is probably great for pinning the car to the pavement at speed, but you should use care around town to keep from scuffing it (obviously the first owner drove with a spotter at all times). The black paint is worlds better than you'd expect from a production car, suggesting that maybe Ford recognizes that these cars will be icons for decades to come. And it all remains in factory-fresh condition. If you had any concerns that this car wasn't the real deal, one glance at those heavily bolstered seats with provisions for 5-point harnesses should dispel them instantly. Ford promotes the car as track ready, and after adding those aforementioned harnesses, you're ready to rock. The steering wheel is wrapped in grippy alacantara, the shifter knob is exactly the right size for your palm, and the gauges tell you exactly what you need to know, when you need to know it. The rest of the interior is standard Mustang, which is to say, pretty darned good all around, and while the original Boss was stripped down to fighting weight, this one includes A/C, power everything, and a kickin' sound system that can actually compete with the bellowing exhaust. Oh, and one other thing: the Laguna Seca is strictly a 2-seater, with the back seat jettisoned for weight savings and the opening reinforced with a cross brace to sharpen handling. The Boss 302 comes by its name honestly, with a 5.0 liter DOHC V8 living under the hood. With 444 horsepower on tap, it rips savagely through the quarter mile in about twelve-and-a-half seconds, completely destroying anything from the '60s, including the mighty Boss 429. They dressed it up for show, but the combat-ready gear is hidden, in the form of adjustable shocks, special springs and sway bars, and massive disc brakes at all four corners that can take the punishment of hot lap after hot lap. The 6-speed manual shifts crisply, feeding a Torsen limited slip and 3.73 gears, so it digs out of corners like it's attached to a giant recoiling rubber band. Black Ford Mustang 2014 stick-shift (manual transmission) car with leather seats, power everything, upgraded Ford Shaker Audio package, blue interior light-up features on the floorboards, front and back as well as in the cup holders and the Mustang logo light-up feature outside the doors, coming down from the side mirrors (a very cool feature for when you take it out at night). VERY low mileage and in great condition. Just a few minor issues. Small scratches on truck (see picture). Front bumper/undercarriage piece is loose and needs to be replaced (it's just a cheap plastic-y piece). After-market windshield does not have the Mustang logo and does not support the rear-view mirror (which I still have and it is very nice with auto-dimmer). A Ford dealership can replace the windshield with the original kind and install the mirror back in. This is a very young car with very little wear. It's got all the Shelby design cues, from the custom hood and spoiler to the stripe package to the special deck lid spoiler, making it stand out among lesser ponies. This one has been special from the very start, so that means no commuting, no track days, not even any rain in its history and the finish is pretty much as new in every possible way. Finish quality on the Shelby Mustangs is every bit as good as their price tags would suggest, and the deep blue paint is smooth, glossy, and deep. We've seen a few of these cars without the stripes (they were actually optional) and have to admit that it just doesn't work without the bright white call-outs on the rockers. This is a special car, why not advertise a bit? The only modification on the entire car are the slats on the rear quarter windows, which have been painted to match the bodywork and blend in perfectly. The black leather interior has been beautifully preserved as well, and as the top-of-the-line Mustang, it's got just about every feature and option you can imagine. The embroidered buckets are just the start, because it also offers power windows, locks, and mirrors, powerful A/C, cruise control, a tilt steering column, and a comprehensive array of old-school gauges that look an awful lot like the ones in a certain Highland Green '67. Shelby logos are discreetly placed, which is somewhat unlike Shelby, and there's a powerful AM/FM/CD stereo system with speakers throughout the interior and a subwoofer in the trunk, all of which was factory equipment. And speaking of the trunk, it's completely unused with correct mats and a spare tire that's never been down. The GT500's 5.4 liter DOHC supercharged V8 is a direct descendant of the engine used in the thrilling Ford GT super car, and in the Shelby it makes a nice, round 500 horsepower. But it's so docile and easy to drive, you'd never realize so much power is on tap. Give it to your mother to drive to the grocery store and she'll never know, but full boost comes up faster than you can put your foot on the floor. The six-speed manual gearbox is a joy to row through the gates and if you're quick enough the engine pulls with the urgency of an electric motor. The Shelby also got a comprehensive suspension upgrade, gigantic disc brakes at all four corners, and, of course, those gorgeous Shelby 18-inch wheels. And it's so well-preserved and has so few miles, it's still wearing its original Goodyear performance radials. Custom rocker panels with built-in side exhaust pipes, a tall ducktail spoiler out back, and faux scoops over the rear quarter windows, it definitely capture the Eleanor look. With just 20,394 miles on the clock, you know this was a toy, not a daily driver, and the condition of the paint and body bear this out, because it's simply stunning. There's hardly a blemish or a chip anywhere on the car, and the finish has been polished and waxed so frequently that even bugs slide off it when they land. This is a show-quality car throughout. The interior has been extensively modified as well, including those awesome black leather seats. For the most part, the interior is stock, including the seats. The leather remains in excellent condition, showing no wear or UV damage from being out in the sun, and the seats are some of the most supportive and comfortable ever fitted to a Mustang. The original dash needed no upgrades, with its cool retro-styled gauges and brushed-aluminum panels with eyeball vents, although they did add auxiliary gauges on the A-pillar and atop the dash, but they look almost OEM. The stock shifter was tossed in favor of a TCI piece that makes shifts feel like a bolt-action rifle with no slop that makes even the automatic transmission fun. Every option you could get is packed in here, including cold A/C, power windows, locks, seats, and mirrors, and a powerful Pioneer stereo system with a touch screen right in the center of the dash. The engine bay received a major upgrade in the form of a Saleen supercharger. Saleen was famous for their better-than-OEM quality and exhaustive engineering, and the blower in this car adds horsepower without any cranky attitude from the engine management system. Dyno sheets that accompany the car show an amazing 421 rear-wheel horsepower, which, thanks to an expert tune, drives like a stock car. A set of ceramic-coated headers feed a custom dual exhaust system, and with the supercharger running at full boost, the sound is spectacular. An aluminum driveshaft has been installed to harness all that horsepower, and the suspension upgrades include a Steeda adjustable coil-over setup with Tokico shocks, Wilwood brakes with cross-drilled rotors, and gorgeous Raceline wheels to show them off.
