For sale 1967 Ford Galaxie 500 XL Convertible 390. The car was bought June of 2014, the previous owner had the car restored in 1997. The body is stellar, as you can see by the pictures. The chrome is complete and shines bright. The interior is immaculate, except for a few tiny tares in the inner side of the rag top. The car previous owner as well as myself have kept the car under a carport or garage, only driven to local fairs and car shows. The hubcaps have been replaced for rims , however I will include them in the price with tires attached. A/C and heater works perfect, cools instantly and warms up just as quickly. Lastly has a built in AM/FM functional radio, however the original is in place for looks. The antenna would need replacing , which has been purchased and is included. ASKING 20K /OBO. I can email more, lots more photos on request. 390 4bbl carb, car ran four years ago and was started recently with an electric fuel pump and gas can, so it does run. Has a C6 trans, 9 inch rear end, Factory Hood scoop Factory Wheel skirts, and Factory Spotlights. Trans has a main seal leak. Rear floor pans need to be replaced. Front appears to be fixable. The seems original except for the rims and air cleaner. See all pics for details and rust. It has it and will need to be fixed. This car must undergo complete restoration. Know what you are getting into before buying. Having said all of that, this car is pretty rare and I have never seen one with the factory spotlights. It was not a police car. Up for bid is a 1967 Ford Galaxie 500. This particular Galaxie is equipped with the optional 390 CDI engine. There is about 56,000 original miles. Fresh coat of paint, loads of new parts, new top, new carburetor, new battery, new regulator, new interior, new starter, and so much more I am sure I am missing. The paint is fresh, not a perfect paint job, but it look really nice, I am just too picky. Top is brand new and looks amazing. The seats have been recovered in black. The interior was originally blue like the rest of the car, but we decided to go with black. Some of the old pieces are still blue. They look fine, but might be nice to swap them out with a black piece. Most everything is there. The passenger’s side front interior panel is not installed. Engine starts, runs and drives great, same with the transmission. Brakes are the OEM style drum brakes all around, the master cylinder and wheel cylinders have been changed out recently. When we purchased the car, it had the bucket seats, but we found a bench to put in there. We still have the bucket seats if you would like them as well. The chrome is in pretty good shape, its mostly near 50 years old, so it’s not perfect as well. The carpet is new along with the door trims. So in a few words, this car is perfect for you. Weather you just want something to cruise down the street in, or want to finish every little detail and turn it into a show car. Here’s your perfect car you have been waiting for!
