1973 Camaro Z28 - R/S (Split Bumper) 21000 Miles. I've owned it since it was 6 months old, spent most of it's time in the garage. Engine is built but streetable. The original smog motor replaced with one from a 1969 Z28 Camaro, Engine has been bored .30 with a 327 steel crank (331 cubic inches), 12.5:1 compression ratio, magnafluxed and shot penned rods with full float pins, balanced, Comp Cam, roller lifters, Heads are 2.02 valve, roller rockers, tripple springs, teflon seals, ports have been opened and polished, screw in studs, Edelbrock intake, Holly 750 Dbl Pump Carb, high volume electric fuel pump. Mallory dual point distributer, headers, power brakes, power steering. Muncie M21 close ratio 4 speed transmission, 'V" gate shifter. 30# Steel flywheel, high pressure clutch, steel (scatter shield) bell housing, driveshaft loop. 538 Rear Gears. Original Interior, Idiot lights have been replaced with Stewart Warner gauges - Engine Temp, oil pressure, amps, Sun Super Tack on steering column. Craiger S/S Rims (slight pitting) . Origional factory black paint, no rust, body is in excellent condition aside from a few garage dents. Was ordered from the factory W/O stripes and the rear spoiler (Original owner thought they were ugly). The pictures were taken several years ago and then it was put back into the garage, been in the garage under a cover since. It's winter here in Minnesota not a good time to take pictures but if there is something you want a picture of, please ask! It could use a clean and wax job. Has been run recently, put new plug wires on it. Could use a tune up by someone that knows high performance engines. There are 50+ pictures below so please give them time to load The Original Truppi Kling Ray Allen Super Stock LS6 Chevelle Super Sport Convertible, Without a doubt the most historic, recognized and valuable Chevelle in the world. This LS6 is documented with its original buildsheet and copy of the original title in which Truppi and Kling signed off on along with many vintage pictures and articles. The car was tracked down and bought by Ray Allen himself and after being restored Ray sold the car in 2006 for a record $1.2 million. Since that time the car has been made even more correct with all hand painted lettering, correct vintage gauges, shifter and correct bolt on performance parts under the hood etc.. The car was known as the "KILLER CAR" and went undefeated during the 1970 race season and ultimately won the NHRA World Finals in 1970 and Super nationals along with many other highly notable races. It was also one of the first drag cars to ever be shown on network television during ABC's Wide World of Sports race coverage. The car broke and held many national records infact the “Killer Car” ended Chrysler's domination of NHRA's Super Stock classes at the peak of the musclecar era. Original Fathom Blue with White Stripes, Black bucket seat interior with column shift (now has the as raced Hurst Auto Stick on floor), Factory Radio Delete, Cowl Induction, 12 bolt posi, HD suspension & Front power disc brakes, Ordered as a bare bones stripped down car with the biggest engine possible, obviously the original drivetrain is long gone but it was restored using all correct date components and correct style race components. Car shows very well and car easily be street driven with the addition of exhaust if desired. In my opinion there is not a better Chevelle in the world to own. It is an Ultra Rare LS6 Convertible which in itself is extremely desirable and hard to find and its also one of the most significant Super Stock Drag cars of all time it is a true piece of Chevrolet History, Muscle Car History and Drag Racing History. A true piece of Americana! Everyone knows there are way more LS6 Convertibles floating around now then Chevrolet ever produced. Sure you can go out an buy a sketchy LS6 Convertible at auction that just appeared out of the clear blue sky that no one knows about for $250k and lose your butt or make excuses when you sell it or you can pony up and buy a good one. I think you can count the good legit LS6 Convertible's out there on the fingers of your 2 hands that's why they command a premium when ever they come up for sale. This car has history since new there is no doubt what this car was ordered new as, has its buildsheet, signed copy of back of original title from Truppi and Kling, Restored by the man who raced the car new and lots of vintage pictures and articles. It doesn't get much better. There will always be a demand for low production high horse power significant cars.. with this car I don't think it gets any better for a Chevrolet how many cars can say they went undefeated in 1970 at the PEAK of the muscle car wars? I have a 1967 Chevy Nova 2 for sale. This car is in excellent shape and body has no rust. It is set up as a drag car but could easily be restored to a street car. The motor is a 350 stroked to a 406 and only has a few passes on it, over 10,000 invested in motor and trans.Transmission is a 2 speed power glide with trans brake.  Drum breaks with a line lock. Dana 60 rear end with drag suspension. Paint is in excellent shape, bottom half is air brushed(no decal). New Mickey Thompson racing slicks on center line aluminum wheels. Car would be a great for restoration, it's not all cut up for drag racing it would be easily put back to the street or just keep it as it is and race it. 1.5 60 foot and 7 second 1/8 mile. Exterior surface rust ONLY due to sun and weather, no accidental metal damage or bondo metal work. Has small dent on lip of passenger door. Needs new seats or original re-upholstering. Has only an AM Radio that may or may not work--not hooked up. There is no A/C and is just as plain as it gets. Probably needs two new tires, but very drivable as is. Runs and drives smoothly for a classic vehicle its age. Would make an easy restoration project or clean palate for customizing.
