[email protected] 5527 Lakeview Road, Charlotte, NC, 28269, US 1971 Chevrolet C10 Pickup Truck 2014 Detroit Autorama First Place C10 Pickup Lingenfelter EFI 383 V8 6 Speed Year: 1971 Type of vehicle title: Clear Primary color: Black Mileage: 4112 Transmission type: 6 Speed Manual Engine: LS6 V8 Interior color: Saddle Vehicle Info It's no secret that Chevrolet builds some of the best trucks on the planet. From the Advance Design series to the C3XXs, every generation has transformed a solid clientele of buyers into a devout following of gearheads. Last week, when Chevy debuted the Tahoe Z71, we couldn't help but think about all the great milestones the brand has enjoyed. And this low-slung C10, part of the marque's long-running C/K Series, is truly in a class by itself. The beneficiary of a professional, frame-off restoration, this award-winning piece of Americana wraps a stout LS6/6-speed drivetrain and neck-breaking curb appeal in enough blue-collar chic to convert fans anywhere. If you're ready to experience a truck that puts the "T" in TOUGH, take a long look at this super cool Chevy! As far as styling goes, few vehicles have aged better than late '60s and early '70s Chevrolets. In fact, toeing the line between rock-solid and refined, the Action Line C/K is probably one of the most attractive trucks ever built. Making the best of that model's extended proportions, this Fleetside C10 seals slick black paint under a glossy clearcoat shell. That sinister two-stage highlights a laser-straight body, which is the result of a lot of time and, more than likely, a significant chunk of money. That seamed body's small amount of metalwork is, from the outside of its panels, completely undetectable. And best of all, those panels remain just as GM designed them, with nothing shaved, frenched, filled or altered in any major way. I say "any major way" because, admittedly, there are some cool details that really make this build pop. The 2011 reboot began with a clean billet grille which hangs bright halogen headlights above a broad chrome bumper and LED parking lamps. Behind that grille, a tasteful cowl induction hood anchors flowing "Fuel Injection" scripts in front of tinted glass that's centered in silver wipers and straight stainless frames. At the sides of that glass, chrome door handles and vivid Chevrolet emblems float among a frenched antenna, LED marker lamps and veneered profile trim. And at the back of the truck, a "C H E V R O L E T" branded tailgate hides a custom wood bed between LED tail lights and a second chrome bumper. When it comes to V8s, few can match the storied performance and rock-solid reliability of GM's Generation III small block. What started as standard Corvette fodder has evolved into some of the most versatile, best bang-for-the-buck power on the planet. And the variant found under this pickup's hood is a hotted up LS6 crate engine that's been punched out to 383 cubic inches by the great John Lingenfelter. At the top of the motor, a chromed Weiand intake feeds matched, ported and polished heads. At the sides of that intake, GM's familiar fuel rail covers display custom, Cheyenne-themed graphics over glossy red paint. In front of those covers, a chromed billet serpentine system spins a chrome alternator and AC compressor above a polished water pump. In front of that pump, a polished Street & Performance air box features a big, reusable filter element. That element breathes thanks to ceramic-coated headers, which mix ample sound with ample torque. There's a polished aluminum radiator that's fitted with two efficient puller fans. Charcoal metallic fenders combine with braided fluid lines, a chrome master cylinder and sleeved Super Conductor plug wires to detail an otherwise purpose-built performer. And the truck's tidy block sports a thick coat of brilliant red paint that perfectly contrasts, black flex hoses, a black firewall and a body-matched core support. Crawl under this rig and you'll find a fully restored undercarriage that's barely been assembled long enough to amass its first layer of dust. The floors wear a fresh coat of black undercoating, which looks great against the red engine and silver drivetrain components. At the center of that drivetrain, a hydraulic clutch funnels torque through a modern, 6-speed transmission to a Currie 9-inch that's equipped with beefy, 3.73 gears. Fluid power steering makes quick work of turns while power-assisted discs bring everything to a quick halt. The aforementioned headers dump spent gases into ceramic-coated side pipes, which employ an X-shaped crossover and burly Borla mufflers. The truck's powdercoated chassis rides long, lean and low thanks to tough drop spindles, thick sway bars and traditional traction bars. That stance clears 20-inch Foose wheels, which spin 255/50 Hankook Ventus AS in front of 295/45 Hankook Ventus AS. And a stainless, relocated fuel tank rounds out a roster of very impressive hardware. In the '70s, trucks were all about comfort and utility not DVDs, wireless and navigation systems. That's why it's so refreshing to hop in the cab of this purposeful but nicely appointed Cheyenne. The stars of the show are Saddle leather buckets that definitely up the style quotient. Below those buckets, stain-free carpet is stretched tight between Dynamat insulation, billet foot pedals and low-maintenance floor mats. Above that carpet, wood-trimmed door panels found big Infinity speakers beneath clever power windows and reliable power door locks. Opposite those doors, a wood-trimmed console backs a curved Hurst shifter. Opposite that console, a stainless-trimmed headliner rides behind a clean chrome mirror. Steering is channeled through a polished and half-wrapped wheel, which spins around a tilting Ididit column. And at the front of the cockpit, a stylish dash hangs fully digital gauges beside modern air conditioning and an MP3-compatible Alpine head unit. Even though this Chevy's sale does NOT include trophies, its major accolades are definitely worth mentioning:Outstanding Truck at the 2014 Detroit Autorama in Detroit, MichiganStreet Achievement Award at the 2014 Detroit Autorama in Detroit, MichiganFirst Place in the Mild Pickup Class at the 2014 Detroit Autorama in Detroit, Michigan Thanks to timeless good looks and a first class restoration, there's no denying the wicked allure of this sweet C10. With its bulletproof drivetrain, slick body and classy leather interior, this award-winning resto-mod is a good buy from any angle. Too good to be true? Just keep reading about the great custom paint, custom interior, and big V8. It's hard not to be immediately take notice of the amazing paint on this truck. Beyond the electric shade of blue, this C10 carries Chevy SS-style stripes, but with an interesting twist. The dual black bands on the hood and tailgate fade to silver as if they symbolize how hot this truck really is. This is highlighted even further by the cowl induction hood, tough black paint in the truck bed, and custom body-hugging front and rear painted bumpers. But most aggressive touch is easily the stance and wheels. A Belltech kit gives this an intimidating forward-lean that is enhanced by the black Torq Thrust wheels. Open the door, and you'll see an interior just as bold as the exterior. There's a great bucket seat setup, that even has a center console with all-important cup holders. The doors and the dashboard have the same great blue paint that's on the outside, and now it includes a nice soft tan for the seats, door and dash panels. From the driver's seat you can instantly tell there is some serious power within this pickup. After all, there's a good reason to have the large tachometer on the dashboard, and a full set of SunPro auxiliary gauges just below the AM/FM/cassette stereo. Pop the hood and you'll see a tidy, and aggressive, 383 cubic-inch stroker V8. This has been further enhanced by a full Edelbrock package, including Performer RPM intake, air cleaner, and valve covers. The exhaust flows through the headers into the performance X-pipe dual exhaust to make an impressive rumble out the back. Plus, the rear end gearing, low profile tires, and the lowered performance suspension gives this pickup a downright sporty feeling on the road. But this one is nice for cruising around town, too, thanks to the automatic transmission, power steering, and front disc brakes. This is a vehicle with some serious power and seriously cool paint that will for sure draw a lot of attention. This body style Chevrolet pickup has been red hot going out of our showroom. Powerful, handsome, and ready to work or play; it's a head-turner that still knows how to earn a living. Two-tone has always been a distinctive style on vintage pickups. On this bow tie, it emphasizes the C10's clean, straight lines and gives these former workhorses a feeling of sophistication. It also helps that the blue and white paintwork was only applied about a year ago, so it greatly outshines any factory color. Because this is a Cheyenne Super it comes with some nice extra body chrome, including the upper and lower body side accents. In fact, the lower one still wears its factory-correct 70s-cool wood strip within the brightwork, and this premium design touch continues on the tailgate, too. But just because this is a shining star, don't be afraid to load this one up with weekend projects. The spray-in bedliner will haul back the lumberyard without showing the aftermath. Inside the same two-tone theme continues. This looks especially nice on the textured door panels. The highly detailed Cheyenne bench has been recovered in pristine white. This is vinyl, so if you do have a messy mistake with this truck, it will regain its pearly status with just a quick wipe down. Blue carpets make it feel plush from behind the wheel, and the dash is full of original instruments. Beyond that are provisions for air conditioning, and a knob-style AM/FM stereo. A sliding rear window is always a great feature, creating a nice cooling effect inside without excessive wind, just for those days when you want that comfortable cruising feeling. The engine is a 350 cubic-inch V8, as advertised on the front fenders, but you'll notice it looks a bit more modern than some other C10s out there. This small block is from a later model Chevy, and it was recently rebuilt to add performance features like a mild camshaft and a sweet-sounding dual exhaust. This is mated to a sturdy TH350 three-speed automatic that was rebuilt with the motor. Despite all of this upgrading and servicing, you'll notice something interesting in the engine bay. When the truck was resprayed, special care was taken to retain the factory chalk marks and original paint on the firewall. 1972 C10s are really sought-after because this was the final year for the trailing arm rear suspention (and this body style), which helps makes these Chevys ride much smoother than most other vintage pickups. Add this to power steering, front disc brakes, and modern BF Goodrich T/A rubber at all four corners (with chrome SS wheels!) and this truck might be a hauler, but it's also a clean Sunday car show cruiser. A very nice truck at a great price, you can easily justify this purchase simply because it'll be both a tool and a jewel in your garage. And with the colors and quality...its already getting a ton of attention. Great color combination, big block power, perfect stance, and a great leather-lined interior that really pops against the black paint. If you've been searching for a do-it-all weekend warrior, this truck should be your leading candidate. It's safe to say that these trucks are insanely popular. They never last long on the showroom floor, and you've probably started noticing the larger crowds gathering around these second generation C10s at your local car shows. Now is the time to get to the head of the pack by arriving in the meanest-looking one around. This C10 is aggressive with its all black paint that consumes everything from the custom cowl induction hood, to the smoked rear taillights that seem to melt into the bodywork. The other part about painting this pickup black means there that no shortcuts were taken in the build. There are a few bright spots of chrome that highlight the custom areas of the truck, such as the grille and the Coys five-spoke alloy wheels. Possibly one of the best features is the one most don't get to see. Beneath the vinyl bed cover are the mini-tubbed rear wheel wells that are a dead giveaway that this pickup was built to hookup with the pavement. The custom red interior is leather, not vinyl, and that makes a big difference when you climb inside. The original bench is gone, replaced by a nice bucket seat setup that allows for a custom center console, with the perfect place to rest your elbows and a cool drink. Everything looks exceptionally fresh and new, from the carpets, to the door panels, to the headliner. It's all especially nice when bathed in this interior's custom blue LED lighting system. This pickup has left any worklife long ago, and is now a true driver's machine. There is a three-spoke Grant sport steering wheel. In between the heat/defrost controls is an auxiliary gauge pack, and below that is a large integrated tachometer. It's these kinds of engine-oriented features that tell you the AM/FM/CD stereo isn't going to come close to rivaling the exhaust note for the pickup's best music. Pop the hood, and once you get over all that amazing brightwork, you'll realize you're staring down one monster motor. It's a 454 cubic-inch big-block V8. It's upgraded with components such as a performance air cleaner, Holley four-barrel carburetor, and Edelbrock intake. Long-tube headers and a throaty Flowmaster exhaust system sound awesome with the tips right behind the rear wheels. A TH350 three-speed automatic transmission shifts without hesitation the moment your foot hits the carpet, and the 12-bolt rear end means that durability won't be an issue. These Chevys are sought after for their smooth-riding trailing arm rear suspension. Combine this with power steering, front disc brakes, and modern low-profile tires, and this street eating truck is also a gorgeous, comfortable Sunday driver. This is one of those few well-built trucks that has the plenty of motor to back up its aggressive appearance. You can choose to be the intimidator at the car show, or just watch as traffic parts for this beast during your the morning commute. America's favorite mode of transportation is finally commanding the respect it deserves. And with awesome classics like this clean C10 mixing red carpet looks with everyday drivability, it's not hard to see why. A perfect blend of timeless style and proven mechanicals, this handsome half-ton is a first rate exercise in old school charm and vintage swagger. And if you're looking for a super cool cruiser that can be enjoyed for years to come, it's the classic of your dreams! BODYWORK/TRIM As far as styling goes, few vehicles have aged better than late '60s and early '70s Chevrolets. In fact, toeing the line between rock-solid and refined, the Action Line C/K is probably one of the most attractive trucks ever built. Making the best of that model's boxy proportions, this fleetside C10 seals slick, black paint under a glossy clearcoat shell. That sinister 2-stage highlights a laser-straight body, the result of a fresh restoration that wrapped in the Spring of 2015. That clean body's top-notch metalwork is, from the outside of its panels, completely undetectable. And best of all, those panels remain just as GM designed them, with nothing frenched, filled or altered in any major way. However, there are some cool details that really make this build pop. The reboot began with a black-trimmed grille, which hangs a vivid bowtie and bright halogen headlights above a mirrored bumper and factory parking lamps. Behind that grille, a domed hood leads the eye to fresh glass that's centered between a factory antenna, polished wipers and a small cargo light. At the sides of that glass, the truck's monochromatic, wet-look profile has been shaved of everything but traditional door handles, a simple fuel filler and 1-piece marker lamps. And at the back of that profile, a smoothed tailgate hides a clean Oak bed between trim-free tail lights and a second mirrored bumper. ENGINE Gaze in to the truck's body-matched engine bay and you'll find 427 cubic inches of Chevrolet big block! At the top of that storied mill, a Quick Fuel Technology 4-barrel mixes wind supplied by a polished and decaled air filter with fuel that's piped through stainless fluid lines and a mechanical pump. That air/fuel mixture floods a polished Edelbrock intake on the way to iron Chevrolet heads, which hang polished valve covers between a polished breather and Hooker Competition headers. At the back of those heads, an aftermarket HEI distributor sequences spark through loomed Moroso Wire Technologies plug wires. Opposite that distributor, a combination of billet and steel pulleys spin a rebuilt alternator, requisite power steering and a modern AC compressor. In front of those pulleys, a fresh aluminum radiator circulates coolant around a stylized support and shrouded pulley fan. And details like a Lokar throttle linkage, a CPP master cylinder and factory-spec Harrison AC components frame the Chevy Orange engine in a sea of pleasing and functional ancillaries. DRIVETRAIN/SUSPENSION With that kind of power on tap, it should come as no surprise that the bottom of this C10 features a host of noteworthy upgrades. Everything starts with a sturdy, factory chassis that was thoroughly powder-coated during the truck's frame-off restoration. Behind the sweet engine, a proven 700R4 4-speed engages a stout, 12-bolt rear end. That fully sorted drivetrain rides on a lowered, factory-spec suspension. Stops are provided by red, power-assisted calipers, which squeeze drilled and slotted rotors at all four corners. Modern power steering provides good feel and great performance. Spent gases float from the aforementioned headers to Mandrel-bent pipes and polished Magnaflow mufflers. Power meets the pavement through Billet Specialties Bonneville Gs, which spin a quartet of 255/55R18 Nitto NT420S. And everything, from this Chevy's stainless fluid lines to its urethane chassis bushings, is fresh, expertly finished and ready for action. INTERIOR In the '70s, trucks were all about comfort and utility not DVDs, wireless and navigation systems. That's why it's so refreshing to hop in the cab of this purposeful but nicely appointed half-ton. The star of the show is a houndstooth bench that definitely ups the style quotient. Below that seat, stain-free carpet is stretched tight between fresh sound deadening and stainless-trimmed foot pedals. Above that carpet, petite door panels found chrome door handles behind chrome window cranks. Above those panels, a stainless-trimmed headliner leads a manually operated courtesy lamp. Steering is channeled through a familiar Chevy rally wheel, which spins around a tilting column. And at the front of the cockpit, a stylish dash hangs factory telemetry beside factory air conditioning and a direct-fit stereo. OUR SALE INCLUDES THE FOLLOWING DOCUMENTATIONA few build photos If you're looking for a unique classic that mixes a great restoration with unmatched style and instant fun, this Chevy deserves your full attention. It's spectacular from every angle. It plays to a level of nostalgia that everyone can appreciate. Stylish, timeless and usually armed with plenty of power, these Chevys inspire a cult like following and provide one of the most enjoyable ownership experiences on the planet. This magazine-featured C10 is an amazing classic that, thanks to a 502 cubic inch GM Performance Parts big block, a professionally upgraded suspension and thoroughly massaged aesthetics, is ready for years of endless cruising. Want to park a killer piece of Americana in your garage for roughly HALF the price of a ground-up build? Check out this slick Action Line Chevy! BODYWORK/TRIM As far as styling goes, few vehicles have aged better than late '60s and early '70s Chevrolets. In fact, toeing the line between rock-solid and refined, the Action Line C/K is probably one of the most attractive trucks ever built. This C10, originally purchased at Graham, North Carolina's Graham Motor Company, seemed destined for farm life. But, unfortunately, the truck's owner passed away a mere four years after its purchase. Despite repeated offers from a long-time neighbor, the farmer's wife just couldn't bear to part with her husband's favorite pickup. And eventually, after watching the truck spend 30 years under an open-ended shed, the neighbor finally struck a deal with the couple's remaining family. Fast forward a few more years and the truck's current owner, reeling from the theft of his beloved '68 C10, decided he'd found a worthy successor. With only 33,502 original miles on the clock, this Chevy underwent a 5-year, frame-off restoration that began at The Paint Shop in Winston Salem, North Carolina and ended at Rod Crafters in Lexington, North Carolina. And in the summer of 2013, this laser-straight bowtie debuted modern comfort and significantly upgraded mechanicals under a glossy coat of PPG Jet Black 2-stage. Altered just enough to present a tastefully upgraded appearance without disturbing classic pickup simplicity, this Chevy is a model of great detailing. Up front, a '68 C10 grille hangs a crimson bowtie between a solid bumper, a modified roll pan and trick Speedway Motors headlights. Behind that grille, a Goodmark low-profile cowl induction hood leads the eye to a smoked greenhouse that's complete with 1-piece door glass. At the sides of that glass, shaved drip rails and filled stake pockets complement a wet looking profile that's dotted with chrome door handles and clear '68 C10 marker lamps. At the center of that profile, stainless skid strips secure an awesome Wormy Maple bed. And at the back of that bed, a smoothed tailgate hangs between a second solid bumper, a second modified roll pan and billet Fesler taillights. ENGINE As young car guys, most of us are taught that 8 is definitely greater than 6. And when it comes to great 8s, it doesn't get much better than this C10's 502 cubic inch GM Performance Parts big block. Twisting stout 9.6 to 1 compression into an advertised 502 horsepower, the truck's show-detailed mill is a logical testament to the old rule: more cubic inches equals more horsepower. A perfect air/fuel mixture is supplied by a contoured, K&N-capped air cleaner and 850cfm, AED-controlled Demon carburetion. That dynamic duo rides on a polished Edelbrock Air Gap intake, which is bolted between lightweight aluminum heads. Those heads hang polished Chevrolet valve covers and matching breathers over stamped steel rockers, 2.25-inch intake valves and 1.88-inch exhaust valves. Those rockers are engaged by a hydraulic roller cam, which is sequenced to loomed GM plug wires and a GM HEI distributor. Spent gases roar through ceramic-coated Hooker Super Competition headers. At the front of those headers, a familiar Vintage Air FrontRunner system spins a coated Stewart water pump between a polished alternator, a polished Tuff Stuff AC compressor and modern power steering. And that water pump feeds a polished aluminum radiator that's wedged between a polished support, two SPAL puller fans and an Optima gel cell battery. Visually, the monochromatic block rides in a smooth, glossy bay that displays top-notch attentiveness to both form and function. And details like braided hoses, billet Eddie Motorsports hinges, Russell fuel components and a chrome CPP brake booster create a clean and purposeful appearance. DRIVETRAIN/SUSPENSION With that kind of power on tap, it should come as no surprise that the bottom of this pickup features a host of noteworthy upgrades. Everything starts with a sturdy, factory-spec chassis that's been smoothed and powder-coated in a nice shade of Charcoal Gray. Behind the sweet engine, a proven 700R4 4-speed utilizes an aluminum driveshaft to engage a stout, TA Performance-branded 12-bolt that's fitted with a posi-trac differential and big, 3.73 gears. That fully sorted drivetrain rides on a spry back half that's been rebuilt around KYB shocks and Early Classic Enterprises 4-inch drop springs. Opposite those springs, a massaged front clip makes good use of Hotchkis control arms, 1.5-inch drop springs and CPP 2-inch drop spindles. Stops are provided by Wilwood 4 and 6-piston calipers, which squeeze a quartet of 13-inch drilled and slotted rotors. The aforementioned power steering feeds an Early Classic Enterprises quick-ratio gearbox. The aforementioned headers feed custom, 2.5-inch stainless pipes, which employ polished Pypes mufflers. Power meets the pavement through stylish Budnik Cannons, which twist 255/50R20 Yokohama Paradas in front of 285/50R20 Yokohama Paradas. And everything, from this Chevy's polished pans to its Rick's stainless fuel tank, is fresh, expertly finished and ready for action. INTERIOR Outfitted with a taught combination of black and tan leather, this pickup's warm and welcoming interior was installed by Jeffrey Phipps Custom of West Palm Beach, Florida. The stars of the show are '99 Tahoe buckets that feature full power adjustment. Between those seats, a custom console frames big speakers in front of a TCI Outlaw shifter. Below that console, cut-pile carpet is stretched tight under billet foot pedals and color-keyed floor mats. At the sides of that carpet, sedate door panels found polished door handles behind polished window cranks. At the front of those panels, a stylish dash hangs Auto Meter Carbon Fiber Ultra-Lite telemetry behind Vintage Air climate control, an Alpine CD player and a slick Covans instrument panel. And in front of the driver, a half-wrapped CPP steering wheel laps a tilting Ididit column. This 1972 Chevrolet C10 Cheyenne Super not only has one of the best classic pickup designs ever, but it also comes with a long list of desirable features such as fuel injection, and overdrive, to make it a standout among vintage trucks. Black is an easy color to love, but it can only be applied to the best vehicles because no imperfections can hide from it. This is even tougher for a pickup because they've typically spent part of their life as a workhorse. So it's worth taking a few moments to take in how amazing this shade of midnight looks on this Chevy truck. Look at the bed and think of how much work went into getting it perfect before the black was applied. With that level of care for the bed, you can only imagine how well they treated to rest of the body to get it this straight. Because this is a Cheyenne Super it comes with some extra body chrome, including the upper and lower body side accents. In fact, the lower one still wears its factory-correct 70s-cool wood strip within the brightwork, and boy does it set this truck off! Another advantage of the Super package was an upgrade to the standard black vinyl bench. This one wears a correct OEM-style red houndstooth insert for the driver and passenger that give a sporty feeling like it was taken from a Camaro (keep this idea in mind for later.) The comforts of this pickup don't end there. This has an upgraded AM/FM/CD stereo for modern tunes, and a three-spoke sports steering wheel. The original gauges have always looked attractive, especially within this custom chrome fascia, but they didn't always offer all the information you wanted. So now there's a set of aftermarket gauges underneath the dash because an upgraded motor requires more driver information. Remember the reference to the Camaro-like interior? Well, under the hood is where this analogy comes true. The 350 cubic-inch V8 is a tuned-port fuel injection unit borrowed from a 3rd generation Camaro. This performance car powerplant is further enhanced with performance headers and Flowmaster dual exhaust that makes a wicked sound. While this truck has the heart of a sports car, it is also set up for everyday comfort. The transmission is a 700R4 four-speed automatic with overdrive for good cruising, especially on the highway. Power is sent from there to the stout 12-bolt rear end. This is also a power steering pickup and includes power brakes with discs up front. The final piece of this all-day useful package is a set of BF Goodrich T/A radials that provide good modern grip in all conditions. If you're looking for a handsome, clean, and affordable vintage truck, then this Cheyenne Super will give you everything thing you want without having to sacrifice any comforts. It might look beautiful, but it can still handle the dirty work if needed. Maybe it's the great lines, or maybe it's the shimmering paint, but either way it doesn't resort to gimmicks to catch the eye. If you like your hardware simple and your look timeless, this is the truck you should be driving. Admit it, you're digging how this truck looks, aren't you? This cool shade of metallic jade isn't outrageously wild like those candy purple or electric blue paint jobs other builders try to pull off. Instead, the two-tone green and white has all the right premium pickup looks from the era, but you can also tell that this shade is much more shimmering than the factory olive. It fits in with the old-school truck scene, but it also really pops in the sunlight and catches the neon lights perfectly when you're out cruising on a Saturday night. The wheels look particularly nice because they coordinate with the vinyl bed cover and the inner color of the of the accent strips running down this pickup. These are actually the steel wheels painted black, which also starts to highlight this truck's functional side. If you're going to have a pickup, you should be able to use it as a hauler, and so underneath the snap off tonneau cover is a spray-in liner. Now your weekends with this C10 can be spent at the hardware store AND showing off at car shows. If you truly want a vintage truck like this to look right, then when you respray the exterior, the interior also needs to be carefully repainted, too. Just by looking inside we know there was a lot spent on paintwork (and the included restoration receipts should back this up). Just like the improved shade of 60s-style green, the rest of the interior looks period correct but peppered with the right kind of upgrades. For example, the stereo has the right vintage knob-style appearance, but it's a digital AM/FM tuner that you can sync with modern players like your iPod. The heat/defrost controls and black vinyl seating look factory fresh, which are signs of a good restoration because this truck once spent its life as an everyday worker. And boy does that wood grained dash pop! But possibly the best upgrades are reserved for the driver. There is an original style Chevy truck steering wheel in near perfect condition, and behind that is new a column-mounted tach. Not only is this a good feature to aid with the three-on-the-tree shifter, but also it's a necessary readout for what lies under the hood. The 350 cubic-inch small-block V8 looks fresh from the crate, and so we suspect it's a very recent addition. It has been upgraded with the chrome performance air cleaner and electronic ignition, but that's not all. The rumble you hear at idle is courtesy of the new performance dual exhaust with x-pipe crossover. By now you might have noticed that this truck has a bit of a lowered stance, and it's wearing BF Goodrich T/A radials. This very hot rod like setup is because these Chevy C/Ks are actually really great street machines. There is an independent suspension up front, and this one has a trailing arm suspension in the rear. All of this makes it a very comfortable all-day cruiser. This is a really nice truck that doesn't cut any corners - you even get the original owner's manual. It has the chiseled good looks of a classic bow tie with plenty of muscle to back it up. If there's one thing we have learned, people like quality, and this one doesn't disappoint...call now!! 1969 Chevrolet C10 for Sale 1969 Chevrolet C10 for Sale Stock # 3013-CHA Charlotte Showroom 5400 West WT Harris Blvd Charlotte, NC 28269 Local/International: (704) 598-2130 Toll-Free: (866) 542-8392 Hours: Tues - Fri: 9AM - 6PM EST Sat: 9AM - 5PM EST Email: [email protected] Atlanta Showroom 213 Thornton Rd Lithia Springs, GA 30122 Local/International: (678) 279-1609 Toll-Free: (877) 367-1835 Hours: Tues - Fri: 9AM - 6PM EST Sat: 9AM - 5PM EST Email: [email protected] Dallas/Fort Worth Showroom 5400 Sandshell Dr Fort Worth, TX 76137 Local/International: (817) 764-8000 Toll-Free: (855) 877-2707 Hours: Tues - Fri: 9AM - 6PM CST Sat: 9AM - 5PM CST Email: [email protected] TERMS OF SALE 1. One owner truck purchased new from Lapointe Chevrolet in Charlotte North Carolina and has been here since 1970. I have the build sheet and the copper Julian date tags that came on the seat. Truck was in climate controlled storage for 20+ years. 104k original miles All matching numbers. Engine runs like new and does not smoke upon start. Engine and transmission have never been removed or rebuilt. Engine still has original cable tie downs unique to production years. Truck has original jack equipment and spare tire carrier. I installed new wheel cylinders, shoes, drums and master cylinder. New water pump, drained all fluids and replaced. New tires, belts, battery, shocks, valve cover gaskets and thermostat. Interior and dash pad was restored to original specs plus carpet added. Mr. Bailey, the original owner had the dual exhaust and rally wheels added. This truck was never smoked in. This truck has never been cut on or had any sheet metal replaced. It has the original bed rails on it and never even had groceries hauled in it. I also replaced the interior heater duct works and controls. This is a one of a kind truck. Why buy one that needs sheet metal repair and spend $5k-$10k doing so. I don't have to sell it nor do I need the money as I have way to many projects going on to keep up with. If I did keep it would be lowered and have 20"or 22" wheels on it and then it will have lost its original form. You can see that it still has build numbers on fire wall from day one. You will not see a truck like this ever and no tire kickers. No, I don't need any help selling it. Yes, original radio and speakers are in it too. Serious inquiries only and Drive it any where. Call 803-517-3172. I reserve the right to end this auction at any time as it is for sell locally. No international shipping.1970 GM original installed bed rails... for those who asked.

Beautifully built, this stylish pickup has all the right ingredients for a serious street machine, and it doesn't matter if you prefer driving or showing, it does it all equally well. Few trucks are as good-looking as Chevy's C10 models from the mid-60s to the mid-70s. This one, with its lowered stance and stepside bed almost looks like the muscle car of trucks, with a predatory crouch and a ton of eyeball appeal. Of course, the sizzling red paint doesn't hurt, along with a cowl-induction hood, and exemplary paint work to make it look its best. A lot of prep work went into this truck before the paint went on, with great gaps and smooth surfaces that show undistorted reflections, a hallmark of quality workmanship. The emblems, door handles, and other add-ons were artfully shaved, and even the mirrors are neat little peep mirrors that look cool but don't get in the way. The tailgate was smoothed and fitted with a very cool light-up emblem that's reminiscent of 1950s truck badges, along with a subtle '454' badge down low. Custom lights in the rear roll pan and LEDs on the rear fenders certainly help with visibility. The bed was given a makeover as well, including a wooden floor with stainless rub strips that looks better than the hardwood in most folks' living rooms. A chrome front bumper adds a lot of class, and the billet grille inserts up front give it a unique look that helps it stand out even more. While the exterior says muscle, the interior says luxury. Custom leather seats with lots of support and a drop down center armrest anchor a luxurious-looking cab that's a long way from 1968. A custom center console was installed and houses a pair of cup holders, and a clock for an elegant look. The original instrument panel was replaced by a billet panel stuffed full of Dolphin gauges, and a polished tilt steering column is topped by a leather-wrapped wheel. Custom door panels were crated to match the upholstery, so the truck has a very polished, high-quality feel, even the floor mats were custom made and are bound in matching tan vinyl. Entertainment is via an AM/FM/cassette stereo in the original location. In the horsepower department, this C10 is rocking a 454 cubic inch Chevy V8, complete with an Edelbrock intake with a Holley 4-barrel carb up top. There's plenty of chrome, from the valve covers to the alternator and the rest was painted red to match the truck. A set of stock exhaust manifolds control heat and noise and have been coated to look good virtually forever. The big block doesn't seem to mind, with endless reserves of torque on tap at any speed, and the custom dual exhaust system sounds awesome exhaling through a pair of tips centered under the license plate in back. It's backed by a Th400 3-speed automatic transmission feeding a custom 12-bolt rear that's been painted to match the body. In fact, almost everything under the truck has been painted bright red, so if you plan on going to shows, bring some mirrors to really show it off, because this sucker is clean! That lowered stance is exactly right, hunkered down on those gorgeous 17-inch Torque Thrust wheels with 215/50/17 front and 255/50/17 rear performance radials. Fast, fun, and stylish, this truck offers an incredible look and heavy-duty hardware for a very reasonable price. Add in a great-running small block V8 and a bunch of creature comforts, and you get a truck that's still daily-driver friendly but show-truck outrageous. There's probably close to the asking price tied up in the cosmetics on this pickup, which makes it one heck of a bargain for those of you who like the look. The tri-tone paint, including bright green, blue, and burgundy details, all separated by hand-painted pinstripes, offers a jaw-dropping look. We don't know exactly when the work was done, but it looks quite fresh so it's either a recent build or a very, very well-preserved restoration that has had the best of care. The modifications are subtle but effective, including a cowl-induction hood, shaved emblems, a smooth tailgate, a billet grille up front, and some artistic pinstripe work offers a traditional look. Chrome bumpers really are the best choice on these vintage pickups, and the bed is fitted with a snug-fitting tonneau that makes for a large, weatherproof storage area complete with all-weather carpet. The interior is a little more mainstream, with a wide bench seat wrapped in blue fabric that maintains the truck's practical side. The instrument panel on these trucks is so good looking that you really don't need custom gauges to make it look fantastic, and even with some normal light fade on the orange needles, they're in fine condition. To make this truck even more user-friendly, it includes a leather-wrapped steering wheel, Vintage Air heat and A/C, and an upgraded stereo system that really sounds good. More custom pinstriping on the glove box door ties it together with heavy-duty floor mats protect the plush carpets that help control noise and heat. Mechanically, this truck sticks to the traditional formula: 350 cubic inches of Chevrolet V8 power. The engine bay is very nicely done with a combination of OEM and aftermarket parts to create a show look without compromising reliability. Edelbrock supplied a few dress-up pieces and the block is painted Chevy Orange, so it really stands out nicely against the blue body paint. It starts and runs like a small block chevy should, and in the lightweight short bed/regular cab truck, performance is quite entertaining. You'll note that the undercarriage was detailed at the same time, so the bright blue paint extends to the frame and suspension, which uses dropped A-arms and lowering springs to give it the ideal stance. A TH350 3-speed automatic transmission spins the original rear end, so the truck cruises easily and doesn't mind working now and then, if that's your inclination. Long-tube headers and a custom exhaust system with glasspack-style mufflers offer a hot rod sound that seems completely appropriate on this customized C10. Custom Boss Motorsports wheels recall vintage Torque Thrusts and emphasizes the lowered look with staggered 18-inch front and 20-inch rear performance radials. Customs like this aren't for everyone, but if you like to stand out and understand that building a truck like this takes big dollars, then you'll also understand that it represents something of a bargain. Great to look at and lots of fun to drive, this C10 definitely delivers on the promises made by its outrageous good looks.
