1965 Chrysler Newport Town Sedan, 65,500 original miles. 383 cubic inch V8 engine, 727 automatic transmission. Power brakes, Power steering. Car is all original except for re-upholstered seats, carpeting, and paint job. Car looks and runs great, shifts are solid, engine is smooth, does not miss, no popping at tail pipe at idle or otherwise. Clean exhaust, no smoke from oil or over fueling. Factory AM radio (functions properly). Everything on car works. Original tire jack is in trunk. Have original owner's manual as well. Car was delivered on 6-15-1965 in Pinconning, MI. Was able to trace title back to mid 1980's. A tribute to the great L-body fleet cars of the 1970's, this Newport is a real head-turner and a fun ride. This car is complete and totally roadworthy. In fact, this car runs and drives like new. Despite the car's classic 37 year history, I am only the second owner of the car. This car still has its original body panels, interior, and powertrain - it's never been hacked-up or hot-rodded. It's still a really nice looking ride - and it's loaded. This car has the bulletproof 400 Big block V8 engine, auto trans, and 2.76 highway gears. Plus all the other goodies: power steering, power brakes, air conditioning(inop) and cruise control. The body and paint look sharp, the highway patrol decals (universal style/eBay legal) look great, there's an A-pillar mounted police spotlight, plus brand new tires. This vehicle gets a lot of attention at car shows and has even won some trophies. Whether you want to use it as a show/display vehicle, a movie production car, a hobby car, or the starting-point for another project, this rare car is ready for more action. Of course, it isn't perfect - it's a 37 year old car.
