The long and sweeping lines of the Bubble top Impalas make for awesome custom restorations and this car is no exception. Paint and body are done to top show quality levels, the mechanical components have been finessed, and the interior is a fine example of craftsmanship mating with good quality components. Stance is everything, and this Chevrolet sits just right. The car rides on a completely rebuilt suspension from front to rear comprised of high quality stuff from Air Ride Technologies. The suspension has all new bushings throughout, new steering components and tubular control arms up front. Bringing the Impala to a halt is a set of Wilwood brakes powered by a chrome booster and two bowl master cylinder. Bringing the stance to a firm close are the wheels - Billet Specialties Rat Tails sized 18” in the front, and 20” in the rear. Power is delivered via a 1998 LS1 out of a Corvette that makes 345 HP and the smooth shifting action stems from a 4l65E overdrive transmission.The engine is nicely framed by an engine compartment comprised of a custom metal firewall and one off inner fender wells. Keeping things cool is a Griffin radiator and a nice crisp exhaust note exists through a set of coated headers and a slick polished exhaust system. The body on the car was blocked exceptionally straight, and the paint has been color sanded to remove all texture out of the clear coat. The paint is Sikkens and the custom mix is called “Color of Money,” which is particularly pertinent, as this car was not cheap to build. All of the glass is new, and all of the chrome and stainless has been restored giving the car a show car flair. Also new from front to rear is all of the body rubber and all of the body bushings. The interior is a nice custom job performed by Roth’s Upholstery. It features custom front and rear seats, a one off package tray, restored chrome interior trim, and a custom center console. The American Autowire wiring harness is brand new and the dash is by Dakota digital. The stereo features an Alpine head unit with DVD monitor, and Sirius satellite radio. The front speakers are Focal components and rears are 6x9 JL Audio. Kicking up the bass is a 10” sub and accompanying amp. I am selling my beautiful 1960 Chevrolet Impala Bubble Top Coupe. It has been tastefully resto-modded to bring it into the modern times for it to look and feel like a true custom hotrod with some of the best components and quality accessories. The original 283 was gone through and runs good, as does the transmission. The Sinister Black paint looks great with the Red Impala Stripe that accents the brakes and the interior. The chrome and stainless trim are in very nice shape with normal wear. The interior is mint, and looks amazing. Custom upholstered seats, custom stitched door panels and headliner, and custom carpet all come together in a Vibrant Red. The trunk is also custom upholstered to match the color scheme in black and red. The brakes are a WILWOOD Full Floating Rotor Disc Brake Setup on all 4 corners. The wheels are chrome and staggered, 20x10 in the rear (for a big lip) and 18x8 in the front with new tires all around. The suspension was lowered on coil springs for better handling, but mostly for great looks and that perfect stance. It's a great looking car with all the right features and gets insane amounts of attention wherever I go. it isn't museum quality or but above average driver. Absolute show stopper. The car received a HUGE makeover and the end result is nothing short of spectacular! The rich two tone paint is laid down next to perfect and I would say a strong 9 out of 10. The break in color is an excellent choice showing body lines and curves to a T. So incredibly smooth is reflects like glass! Its panels are all straight, panel gaps are perfect, and the bumpers shine like crazy. The door handles have been shaved and well done. It makes the car look that much cleaner. The grill and headlight rings are still bright as well. It has had a power transplant and MAN, it was exactly what it needed! The fuel injected LS1 and 700r transmission really wake this classic up! This car really scoots! I personally drove this machine and throttle is SO responsive. It drives incredibly well and feels great through the turns! Not only does the LS1 make the Biscayne wake up but looks awesome to boot. They did not skip a beat on this engine built. It was taken from a crate and now has so much chrome on it you almost get blinded when you pop the hood. The Impala badges on the engine are an awesome touch, SO much attention to detail! The fire wall super clean and it really shows this swap was done correct! The ride is crazy nice thanks to the full air ride system. These bags fill and drop so fast it is incredible. The car looks so nice all the way laid out! Pictures show how nice the bags fit in this piece of art. A nice set of high polish wheels really set the stance off well. With 18s in the front and 20in the rear it tucks these rims really nice! The Falken tires provide plenty of grip and feel for the road. The huge MRP 14in drilled and slotted rotors along with oversized calipers provide more than adequate stopping power, I can’t say enough about the feel of this car on the road It runs, drives and sounds incredible! The interior is just as clean as the outside and color matched as well. It is mostly grey with charcoal inserts and look like they have never been sat on, back seats included! Carpet is new and looks to be never used as well. The dash is custom painted to match exterior and gauges have been replaced with digital blue back lit LED modern ones. The touch of today inside this car is just as cool as the exterior! The stereo sounds crazy good no matter what you are playing. The bag controller is also blue lit as well for a nice blue flow all the way across the dash. Door panels are custom as well and also two tone. The billet handles look great and were an awesome choice.I have a new number one in the showroom and I can’t say enough about this beauty.
