1976 Cadillac Fleetwood Brougham This '76 Fleetwood is in great condition. The 35K miles is actual. All original except the radio and the remote key pod. It rides and drives great. It's been in the family since day one, garaged all the time and has been a Florida car. For the last 7 years it's hardly been on the rode. It has a little bit of a vibration when it reaches 70 mph. All components are in good working condition and definitely its mechanically sound. The tires have 80% tread life and it comes with a full size spare and extra hubcap. The body is in great shape. There are some fine scratches, hardly noticeable. The sunroof works fine a little bit on the slow side. There are no leaks from the engine or transmission. The reservoir for the anti-freeze is cracked. The interior is in great shape. The seats, the carpets, the headliner, dashboard are like new. Don't hesitate to ask any questions. This beautiful, all original cadillac was purchased new from "Jim Rathman Chevrolet/Cadillac' in Melbourne Florida and has spent its entire life in the Central Florida. I purchased it from the second owner, who is an automobile mechanic. After performing maintenance on the car for years, he purchased it from the original owner on 5-17-90 with 56,144 documented miles. It spent the next 25 years stored in a warehouse next to his shop, where he would occasionally drive and continue to perform maintenance on this car. He reluctantly sold the vehicle to me in April 2015, when he had to make room in his warehouse for the vehicle of a friend who had recently passed. I purchased this car with 71,000 original, documented on the Florida Title, miles. As you can imagine the vehicle was, and continues to be in excellent mechanical condition. It starts, runs and drives great. It accelerates well and brakes straight as it should. The ac blows ice cold and the car does not overheat. The convertible top looks great (2nd owner replaced original 2 yrs ago) operates smoothly up and down. All electric windows also operate smoothly up and down. All of the vehicle interior/exterior lights work as do the windshield wipers. Unlike many cars that you will see on ebay and other websites it has NOT HAD ONE RECENT REPAINT NOR HAS IT HAD THE ENGINE BAY DETAILED, so nothing is covered up or hidden. The car is not perfect but it is in exceptional original condition. There is some cracking and flakeing of the Original Paint in a few small areas. There is no visible or known rust that I can find on this car, and like I said before nothing is hidden or covered up. The car Does Not leak from the convertible or any windows. The pillar posts weatherstripping is starting to deteriorate, but all other weatherstripping appears be in good shape. ( I have a brand new complete set of weatherstripping including the pillar post that will come with the car ). When I purchased the vehicle the white leather seats were dried out and starting to crack and the carpet was stained (no floor mats). I had the original leather seats professionally restored, put in new carpet, original color, and purchased matching Cadillac floor mats. The leather restoration craftsman also repaired a minor crack on the drivers side dashboard. There is a crack in the vinyl on the drivers side armrest and the original am/fm stereo was replaced (without damage to the dash and original radio comes with the car). I also have almost all of the original paperwork for this car including the owners manual and window sticker (not reprints but the original) along with other delivery documents from the dealership. I replaced the 25 year old tires on the car with new Cooper radial whitewalls. I believe the spare tire and jack in the trunk are original along with the spare tire cover, parade boots in the original cover that matches the spare tire cover. This car came equipped from the manufacturer with almost every option available including; Dual Comfort 50/50 leather seats with power reclining and adjustment for Driver AND Passenger (driver side was standard but passengers side was a $ 220. option that you don't see often), Am/Fm Stereo w/Tape Player, Door Guards, Tilt and Telescope Steering Wheel, Remote Control Trunk Lock, Trunk Mat, Twilight Sentinel, Rear Window Defogger, Cruise Control, Headlamp Control-Guidematic, Mirror Right Side Remote, Controlled Cycle Wiper System, Illuminated Entry System, Front License Plate Mounting Bracket, Trumpet Horn (which still works), Convertible Top Parade Boot-Hard, Fuel Monitor. So why am I selling this awesome original Eldorado Convertible. Its simple, Im just not a CADDI GUY. I purchased the vehicle because I was at the right place, at the right time, and recognized both the opportunity and value of this classic. I never planned to keep it long and have no indoor storage available (its a great car but its never going to take the spot from my Mach 1 in the garage). Beautiful 1962 Cadillac Fleetwood 60 Special Hardtop. A Southern car from new, with a Black exterior with Grey cloth and leather trim interior. Has all original interior with just some light wear mostly in the drivers seat area, and some small age related trim wear on headliner and other interior parts (see the pics). This Cadillac has been in the same owners collection since 1981, having been stored inside and covered most all of its life. Has all the standard 60 Special fittings with all power windows and 4 power vent windows, all main windows function fine but the 4 power vent windows have the usual sticky operation/movement. The 8 way power front seat does not work some of the time, just needs a switch cleaning I think. Car has original Factory AC system fitted with all components in place but has not been charged or used in many years, so does not currently work. Exterior was repainted in original Black in 1990 and still looks excellent with only 2 minor areas of deterioration, one being the lower right corner of the rear window molding showing some bubbling corrosion and a lower 6" area of the right front fender has some bubbling rust peeping thru ( see pics ). A few cracks in the top dash pad, see pics. Very nice all original trunk materials with jack and spare. The tires are old wide white wall bias ply, they hold air well and have nice tread but probably not good for a cross country drive. Has a couple of light wiper scratch lines on the drivers side of the windshield that may polish out and is missing the Fleetwood badge on the trunk. Super nice solid body with some light corrosion spots on the chrome and bumpers, see the pics. Very nice under body chassis with just the normal very light surface rust of a 55 Year old Caddy. Has just recently been fitted with a NEW Battery, Water Pump, belts and hoses And an electric fuel pump to replace the OE mechanical one. Original AM signal seeker radio that works. Working power door locks. Has some various glass delamanation as is common on all cars of this age, see pics. The original Cadillac Series 60 was produced from 1936-38, but the model was maintained as the Series 60 Special from 1939 to 1976, and then again from 1987-93. The eighth generation of Cadillac to bear the name 60 Special was built from 1961 to 1964 on the full size rear-wheel-drive C Platform. The car was popularly known as a Fleetwood. With the exception of the Eldorado Biarritz convertible, the Fleetwood 60 Special was Cadillac’s most expensive passenger car. The prices of the Series 6700 were higher, but those were extended-length limousines, hearses, and ambulances. The Fleetwood 60 Special was available only as a four-door hardtop, with a long list of standard features including power seats, power windows, power steering, power brakes, automatic transmission, dual backup lights, windshield washer, two-speed wipers, and a remote control trunk lock. Available options included air conditioning. Engine power was provided by Cadillac’s 390-cid V-8 with a single Rochester four-barrel carburetor, which offered 325 horsepower. From 1961-63, the 60 Special used GM’s trusty Hydramatic automatic transmission. Styling changed substantially over the years, with 1961 models sporting the sharp tail fins, popular since the late 1950s, but in 1962 these were toned down and the fins were almost gone by the end of 1964. In 1961, the grille was creased across the midline and sloped back towards both the hood and chrome bumper. For 1962, the crease was vertical, with the grille sides sloping towards the headlights. A strong horizontal center bar divided the grille in 1963-64, and the lower portion of the grille swooped over the fog lights. Cadillac made about 14,000 per year from 1962 to 1964.
