Engine has been replaced (out of an '01 GT, less than 100,000 mi), runs and drives great, has flow master exhaust with X pipe and high flow cats, cold air intake, different rear end gears, new radiator, new alternator, could use a new motor for convertible top (still works though), needs a new solenoid because the overdrive does not shift properly around 60 mph (need to manually press overdrive button for it to engage properly, transmission is not bad though), needs new driver side door latch mechanism and pins, passenger side window catches when rolling up, leather on driver side seat is damaged, and needs new material for both sun visors This is a great vehicle, it runs great and is very fast. This is a nice looking vehicle. The current owner is a young (16) Amish gentleman...so I am doing the listing in his behalf. He has only owned this car for one month and has driven it less than 100 miles. He purchased it from his uncle. I will refer any and all questions to current owner. He has another car so he does not need two. He wants to buy a snow mobile so this is another reason for selling. The car sounds great. He tells me the gear ratio's have been altered to beef up performance. He says the odometer reading is artificially high due to this alteration. I am certainly no expert on this. As noted, it has no rust, however body work has been done on the passenger rear quarter panel that needs to be finished. He has noted some coolant leak and states that the right rear tire looses air pressure over time. I suspect a small puncture or bad valve. He questions whether the rear speakers work. It has no smell of cigarette smoke. He believes he is the third owner. He possess a clean title. Requests cash or cashier's check. I'm consolidating cars to buy a new Mustang. This is a two owner car and I am good friends with the original owner. He bought the car after graduating from college, drove it stock for several years, found out about the SCCA and started autocrossing. After that, the mods started. I bought the car in 2010 and continued to autocross and open track it. I have since added the supercharger and all required parts, aluminum radiator, roll cage, new clutch and tires. The clutch and tires both have about 500 miles on them and were installed just last year. A job change moved me to Florida and I just haven't had much time to play with the car. Before the move, the car was trailered to events for the last 3.5 years. Much of the work was done with the help of Lawson Racing near Winona MN and all tuning has been completed by Zenk Auto in Nodine MN. Car runs on pump gas and has a conservative 8 psi tune currently. Fuel injectors and pump are sized so that it could be converted to run e-85 which I was my next change before I took a new job that forced me to move to Florida. I have a lot of records for the car. Over $20k was spent on parts alone, not including labor or the price of the car. Car has run at Brainerd International Raceway, Blackhawk Farms and Road America and some other smaller tracks on the east coast and midwest. With the current setup and 3 season old race rubber at Road America, the car would hold it's own against Z06's, GT500's and Boss 302's. A/C, power windows, locks, radio are still all functional. Rear seats, trim and trunk liners have been removed. I still have the trunk liners and rear seat belts.
