You’re bidding on a 1971 VW Super Beetle, restored to daily driver condition with a nod to classic 1960’s Hot Rod styling. Engine features:-1641 cc professionally built by Ken Jensen Enterprises in Belmont, CA and still under warranty. -Mild Cam (Engle 100), stock crank and heads, bugpack headers and a quiet exhaust system.-Dual 40mm kadron carburetors set up by The Kaddie Shack of Pasadena, CA. -Electronic fuel pump and Bosch 12v alternator conversion-009 distributor, Petronix electronic ignition, coil and wires-New ignition switch and starter-Interior heat for those chilly days Drivetrain:-Stock IRS transmission and new clutch-Replaced the shift rod coupler with a urethane one: now shifts positive and smooth in every gear-Stylish old-school empi trigger shifter--works great Brakes:The entire brake system was replaced about four years ago: drums, pads, cylinders, lines and master cylinder. In the future, it may need an adjustment with pad replacement. The emergency brake is, of course, functional. Replaced all rubber with urethane in the front end suspension and added new bumpstops in the rear. Sitting on a topline adjustable versa strut kit with stock height sport springs for a nice ride even at extreme low.New tires all around: stock tires in rear, smart car tires in front, port-a-wall whitewall inserts and a full-size new whitewall spare. Interior:-New seats, door cards and headliner-- all TMI products-New foam seat padding, new TMI carpet kit inside, front trunk and rear window area-Lots of little details throughout the cabin to give the feeling of a late 60's hot rod-All of the electronics work: lights, turn signals, wipers, highbeams, hazards and horn-Car has heat in the cabin-Professionally installed stereo system, 1100 w amp and a 400 w amp to power two 4', two 6x9's and a 10' flat sub.-The head unit is a bluetooth hands free one but has giving me an error message lately. I will address this before closing. Exterior:-Satin matte black paint. The car’s original color was Clementine Orange, then red at some point.- New rubber seals all the way around with older 60's bumpers, functional foglamps, pop out windows. -Custom black vanity plate and roof rack. (I have the original year bumpers to go with the car and other miscellaneous parts.) History and overall condition:I am the third owner of the car, purchased in Sacramento 4 years ago. I have been restoring and driving it ever since. Before that, the car was located in Chico with the original owner. It has a clear title.Pans are rust free, though the driver side door hinge will need some attention. I live less than half a mile from the beach-- any exposed metal or cheap chrome will rust. Though I diligently keep up with prevention, occasional small rust bubbles happen in the rear near the corner vents. (An issue with all VW Beetles that possess said vents.)I have addressed the small rust bubbles, but internal foam insulation needs to be removed to prevent the rust from returning. Otherwise the car is solid and free of rust. Over the years, I invested over $11,000 into the vehicle. She drives well and is a real head-turner! Though not my daily driver, for the last year I have been taking the car on longer cruises and VW car club functions and shows. It is lowered, and has new air shocks,new exhaust, new front and back seats, new stick shift, back tires new interior dash, new gauges ( not hooked up yet ) nice radio with Bluetooth and phone system. 1971 classic VW super beetle. rare flat front window model. I am the third owner ' Second owner repainted the car inside and out. I rebuilt the front end and brakes and wheel bearings and front disc brakes added. new starter was added and I had a local body shop replace a rocker panel on the car. no rust holes and car was stored in winter. Floor boards are solid. Car is all there and is not all rusty. interior has been replaced but set covers may need to be upgraded if needed. not expensive to do unless you want leather. many parts catalogs available. New vintage steering wheel was added but horn quit working. car heats up in winter but defroster are an issue so I did not drive in the really cold months. I put a lot of work and money into the car so I am looking an honest buyer and not someone wanting to do a pay pal scam. Buyer is responsible for coming and getting the car. would recommend you trailor or tow with the supplied tow bar unless you live in town

This is a 1971 Beetle Classic 1600cc dual port engine with a 4 speed manual transmission. The car runs and drives great, buzzes down the highway at 65mph with ease. My wife takes it all over the place on the weekends, even grocery shopping on occasion. I have recently done quite a bit of work to the car. This work includes all new brake shoe with wheel cylinders all 4 corners, new brake master cylinder, rebuilt carburetor, new muffler, plugs, wires, points, valve covers and rebuilt generator. I have also adjusted the valves, fixed the typical VW electrical ground gremlins and cleaned out the heat riser tube in the intake manifold. The clutch was replaced about 5000 miles ago. This is a good driver car, just put gas in and drive. The engine does not smoke just leaks a little oil at the drain plug. The exterior of the car is in good condition and shows well when at the local cruises. It is not perfect but it looks good especially in this color. The only negatives to the car is there is a small amount of rust at each of the four floor pan corners. The rust is small amounts which one of the pictures show. The rest of the pan is completely solid, as is the fenders, body panels, doors etc. also the driver's side seat is a bit worn as are most if they are original like this one all of which I have provided pictures of. This a great little car that you can just take home and drive. We are selling it because my wife was a convertible and we have two other classic/custom cars already in the garage and just don't have room to keep this one.

Up for sale is a solid 1971 vw super beetle with flat windshield it has a less than 100 miles on the 1915cc engine with a Johnny 4 play intake 4 barrel carb, 3 inch wider than stock rear fenders, stock fiberglass front fenders, custom taillights, I bought this car 10 years ago been in a garage most of the 10 years had engine rebuilt, and new fenders etc and painted door jams etc never got around to painting the car but the engine has very high end parts a guy who drag raced built the engine to a 1915cc just throwing it out there it does not run currently drove it about 1 1/2 years ago about 2 miles carb back fired and parked back on garage would not take much to get the ol thing back to 100% needs a carb, some paint and tires put used tires after I had the wheels powder coated I personally have about 9000 in the car very solid car clean title would make someone a great project car if it don't sell I will get it running and paint it and repost just testing the waters building a new house and finishing my deceased dad's truck no time for this one any questions please feel free to ask u can bring tools and hear it run will not take much
