RELISTED - I accepted an offer and the buyer never contacted me. 1961 Chevy Impala - SS badges added, NOT a real SS car - 350 crate roller motor, aluminum heads, aluminum intake, Hedman Elite headers, dual exhaust, turbo 350 trans, custom aluminum radiator with electric fan, Auto Meter gauges, Vintage Air AC and Front Runner pulley system, tubular upper and lower A arms, lowering springs all around for that killer stance, Baer disc brakes all around, power steering added, $3500 pioneer sound system installed in the glove box, with Rockford Fosgate speakers, P-200-2 amp and 12-inch sub, 18" Torq-Thrust II wheels with Nitto tires. A frame-on build was done between 2006 and 2008.I have a folder full of receipts for the sound system, suspension, AC and brakes. The floor pans were patched, so there are no issues there. I don't think the paint is original, not considering the way it shines. The Vintage Air system blows cold, cold, cold!!! The carb is tuned perfectly, the car starts first time, every time with 1-2 pumps on the pedal. The auto choke kicks down after about 30 seconds of warm-up. The trans shifts perfectly. This car was built to be driven and you will enjoy it...no disappoints or apologies with this car. This Impala has all of the options and features that you want in a pro-touring car and it won't last long. I have only owned this car for a few short months. I recently moved to a townhome and I don't have room for this car anymore. I need to move this car and no reasonable offer will be refused. The long and sweeping lines of the Bubble top Impalas make for awesome custom restorations and this car is no exception. Paint and body are done to top show quality levels, the mechanical components have been finessed, and the interior is a fine example of craftsmanship mating with good quality components. Stance is everything, and this Chevrolet sits just right. The car rides on a completely rebuilt suspension from front to rear comprised of high quality stuff from Air Ride Technologies. The suspension has all new bushings throughout, new steering components and tubular control arms up front. Bringing the Impala to a halt is a set of Wilwood brakes powered by a chrome booster and two bowl master cylinder. Bringing the stance to a firm close are the wheels - Billet Specialties Rat Tails sized 18” in the front, and 20” in the rear. Power is delivered via a 1998 LS1 out of a Corvette that makes 345 HP and the smooth shifting action stems from a 4l65E overdrive transmission.The engine is nicely framed by an engine compartment comprised of a custom metal firewall and one off inner fender wells. Keeping things cool is a Griffin radiator and a nice crisp exhaust note exists through a set of coated headers and a slick polished exhaust system. The body on the car was blocked exceptionally straight, and the paint has been color sanded to remove all texture out of the clear coat.  The paint is Sikkens and the custom mix is called “Color of Money,” which is particularly pertinent, as this car was not cheap to build. All of the glass is new, and all of the chrome and stainless has been restored giving the car a show car flair.  Also new from front to rear is all of the body rubber and all of the body bushings. The interior is a nice custom job performed by Roth’s Upholstery. It features custom front and rear seats, a one off package tray, restored chrome interior trim, and a custom center console. The American Autowire wiring harness is brand new and the dash is by Dakota digital. The stereo features an Alpine head unit with DVD monitor, and Sirius satellite radio. The front speakers are Focal components and rears are 6x9 JL Audio. Kicking up the bass is a 10” sub and accompanying amp. LOL Im Selling a All Original Chevy 1961 Impala BubbleTop 2 door, the car does need to be fully restored I bought it from the original owner in Tampa FL and he just didn't have time or Energy to keep up with the car. I did replace the brakes and put a set of Rims & Tires on the car, The Motor is a 350 Small block & 350 Trans both run very strong, the Frame on the car is great, all the Suspension is also good as well, Now the fun part the body all in all is good, the lower rear quarters panels need to be patch up or replace and the floor boarded just need to be patch up. After being stripped to bare metal, the car's solid body was patched, worked and sanded until it displayed better-than-factory alignment. That body's combination of form, fit and flash is reinforced by high-gloss DuPont clear, which was blocked three times and buffed to a mirror-like shine. And that world-class look is completed by custom-airbrushed side stripes, which earned the car the nickname 'Crocodile Rock'. The greatest thing about building a massaged third generation Impala is: the crouched, laid back aesthetic most street rod enthusiasts crave is pretty much standard factory fare. At the front of this fully sorted full-size, a straight, chrome grille hangs a classic crest and modern torches between clear parking lamps and a 1-piece bumper. The glossy engine compartment seats Prowler Orange fenders in front of a smooth, body-matched firewall. And niceties such as stainless fluid lines, polished fluid reservoirs, a bowtie-branded cowl jamb and a chrome-detailed hood add a tailored feel to quality assembly. DRIVETRAIN/SUSPENSION The car's spry small block is, first and foremost, augmented by a fully refinished X-frame that mixes subdued looks with proven brawn. At the center of that chassis, a tough 4L60E 4-speed makes good use of a shortened driveshaft. That driveshaft twists a proven 10-bolt rear end, which seats 3.73 gears and a posi-traction differential between RideTech CoolRides and KYB Gas-A-Just shocks. Turns come courtesy of modern power steering, which floats a 605 gearbox between RideTech ShockWaves and Fatman 2-inch drop spindles. Smooth and solid stops are provided by dual-piston Aerospace Engineering calipers, which squeeze 12-inch drilled and slotted rotors. Spent gases flow through large-diameter pipes and throaty turbo mufflers. Power meets the pavement through custom, 3-piece Asantis, which spin 245/35ZR20 Dunlop SP Sport Maxx in front of 265/35ZR22 Dunlop SP Sport Maxx. And everything, from this Chevy's color-keyed fenders to its beefy sway bar, tucks nicely under a 6-inch total drop. INTERIOR Once covered in black leather, behind the car's lightweight doors you'll find a luxurious mix of alligator, suede and Kamali-supplied leather. BODYWORK/TRIM The proud recipient of 2014 AACA First Junior and Senior awards, this impressive Impala is only test miles removed from a 5-year, nut-and-bolt rotisserie restoration. Discovered in long-term storage back in 2007, the car was promptly purchased, completely dismantled and fitted with new floors, new rockers and thoroughly worked quarters. With that metal solid and freshly blocked, bright white vinyl was stretched over a correct coat of Roman Red 2-stage. And, in March of 2014, the car debuted as a fully reborn classic that's poised to show and raring to go! In the early '60s, Chevrolet's newly anointed line topper certainly did its share to pad the polishing industry. And, as with its sculpted body, all of this Impala's jewelry has been returned to glare-inducing condition. At the front of the car, a broad stainless grille hangs a bright Chevrolet crest between a bulleted bumper, four T3 headlights and clear parking lamps. Above that grille, a wide-set "CHEVROLET" script stretches between cool '60s Impala fender toppers. Below those toppers, jet-inspired trim hangs ornate Impala badging behind familiar door handles. At the tops of those handles, a power-operated roof rides between stainless-trimmed glass, a small bowtie mirror and an angled antenna. And behind that antenna, six Impala-exclusive taillights illuminate a second bumper and flat fins that terminate at a second Chevrolet crest. ENGINE When you tilt this Impala's hood, it's easy to see how the car scored 994 out of 1,000 points on its way to winning Best Engine Compartment at the 2014 Eckler's Classic Chevy International. Directly in front of you, 348 cubic inches of Super Turbo Thrust V8 proudly displays a correct "FA" suffix stamp in front of a correct 3755011 casting number. A staple of working-class luxury, this impressive, big torque big block is one of the many reasons the Impala enjoys such fantastic name recognition. And absolutely every item from its thick coat of Chevy Orange paint to its unique, bowtie-branded valve covers has been rebuilt, refinished or replaced. Front and center, a Satin Black, dual-snorkel air cleaner funnels wind in to a fully restored tri-power set up that includes three Rochester carburetors and a network of stainless fuel lines. At the sides of those carbs, restored exhaust manifolds allow the oversquare cylinders ample breathing room by funneling spent gases in to correct, true-dual pipes. At the back of those manifolds, a traditional points distributor sequences fire between a fresh coil and correct Radio GM plug wires. Cooling is provided by a beefy radiator, which sends water past correct tower clamps via reproduction GM hoses. Charge comes courtesy of a reproduction Delco yellow cap battery, which jolts a tagged Delco-Remy generator. And the car's Satin Black engine bay, which is as clean as the paint on its body, serves as an ideal backdrop for the mill's many different textures. DRIVETRAIN Park this Chevy on a lift and you'll find a solid undercarriage that, based on appearance, has never seen a drop of water. Fresh, Oxide Red floors ride on a sturdy X-frame that, during the car's extensive restoration, was carefully sandblasted and thoroughly powdercoated. A correct Borg Warner 4-speed spins a familiar GM rear end that literally sails the engine through its broad power band. Under that capable drivetrain, a bead-blasted and fully rebuilt suspension has been equipped with optional power steering and power drum brakes. At the center of the floors, an aluminized, true-dual exhaust system utilizes throaty turbo mufflers to weave an aggressive, full-throttle rumble into a subdued and classy idle. And, at the corners of the suspension, 8.00-14 BF Goodrich Silvertown whitewalls frame restored, original wheel covers. INTERIOR Decked in correct red and white vinyl, this Impala's stunning interior has been restored to factory-fresh condition in virtually every way. The wide bench seats feel newer than the car's 54 years would suggest, and present just as well now as the day they rolled out of the upholstery shop. At the base of those seats, like-new carpet is and tight and fade-free. At the sides of that carpet, 2-tone door panels hang straight stainless trim around traditional handles and modernist armrests. At the front of those panels, a restored dash, which is chock full of rebuilt gauges, carries a Straight Line Tuning pushbutton radio. In front of the driver, a color-keyed steering wheel laps a classic Impala centerpiece. And behind the passengers, a fully restored trunk seals a correct mat, correct jack and full-size spare tire below a fresh decklid decal. Up for sale here is a super straight 1962 Impala Super Sport with a factory 4-speed. I am forced to sell this and dozens of other classics some of which I have had for decades. This car has a super straight California body. Rock solid fenders doors 1/4 panels, spotless rockers roof and floors. The trunk lid is also rot free. The inside trunk pan has 2 holes and the hood had a repair on the front years ago. Take a close look. I removed the bumper and inner fenders years ago when I wanted to strip the car to the metal and do the paint. I will get detailed pics to show you anything you would like to see. You will be hard pressed to find a nicer body to start with. Looks like the front end was replaces years ago. I will re-install the perfect inner fenders or put them in the trunk along with the original bolts and mounting clips. I wanted to show how clean the fenders were without covering up the inside. No rot or repair work ever that I can see. All original glass and all the SS trim is excellent original. The red seats are also original. I am having the new headliner finished up. With the original star pattern. Carpet is also new. I have a 63 SS console that can go with it or the original rear console. I don't have the front Stick console. It has the grab bar. No power options. It had a built small block in it when I bought it. Low low miles. I will get the casting numbers. You can get the Keystone wheels or stock 14's, I don't have all the original caps. The car runs strong. I am going to try and flush the tank. No problem running a temporary fuel source. I will do what I can physically and will have any work done that I can.
