I picked it up originally to use as a project but decided it was way too nice and original to mess with, so I went through the whole car to make sure it was in tip top shape. Everything mechanical is 100%. New front struts and caps, sway bar links, spark plugs, tires are at least 80%, as are the brakes. This car is ready to go anywhere. It has been and still is a great car. It has a couple of things that need to be touched up like any other car. Most of the problems are problems consistent with all Honda Accords. The negatives about the car include: change brake pads, the relay in the radio went out so it does not light up, needs an oil change but bolt is very tight from aluminum oil pan, dent in hood and fender, cracked leather in front seats, shifter surround cracked and broke when cleaning it, and needs front tires. KBB Value of this car in fair condition is $3,700 and Excellent is $4,800. You could easily fix up the small things and resell this for more. I'd rather get rid of it then have it sit and more problems arise. Other then the small problems, it's been a great car, great in the winter and good on gas mileage. Fully Restored 1953 Mercedes-Benz 170SD has 4 Cyl. Diesel Engine and 4-Speed Manual Transmission with Shift on the Column. Has always been Garaged since I have owned it. Only 6,494 of these cars were ever built. Few survive today in any condition. This exact 4-Door Sedan Model can be seen in many newly released WWII Themed movies. (Once you own one, you are always looking for them in Films). It was the first Model produced by Mercedes following WWII and was based on Pre-War designs and specifications. The only major change was the use of steel rather than wood for the flooring. When I purchased it in '09 it had just undergone a complete 18 Month, Frame-On, $60,000 Professional Restoration (to Original Factory Specifications). Prior to the extensive Restoration, it was in good condition showing no rust or body damage. Motor and Transmission were also in good working order. It had been well maintained by its previous owner(s). Work performed included: Complete stripping of paint to bare metal and repainted in original High-Gloss Mercedes Black. All upholstery was replaced including the front and rear seats, door panels, headliner and carpet. New windshield (due to scratches), re-chrome of bumpers, grill & trim. Hydraulic Brakes: new hoses, brake shoes and wheel cylinders. Engine was dis-assembled and checked & showed virtually no wear. These Diesel engines have been known to exceed 1,000,000 Miles! Engine compartment was cleaned and totally refurbished. In the years since I have owned this car it has not had any mechanical issues, break-downs or repairs. Even after sitting for many months at a time, it starts right up and drives well. Mostly driven at WWII Airshows and used in some WWII related TV & Movie work. Minor modifications were added to make it more "WWII Period Correct". Changes include replacement of tires with off-road capable "Knobby" Firestone tires, Black-Out covers for headlights, mounting original NSKK Vehicle Badge to radiator grill, adding left and right Military Pennant Mounts to Fenders and Front & Rear German Military License Plates. All are these items are easily removable to bring back to 1953 Mercedes Specs. The condition of the vehicle today shows a few minor imperfections from use and transportation to Movie Studios located in the NYC area (inside a fully enclosed trailer). Has some flaking of chrome plating on front bumper and minor paint scratches received while loading & unloading. Additional pictures available upon request. The Vehicle has no known mechanical issues. Starts/Runs/Drives and Stops well. M-B Dealer Service Manual and Owner's manual included. Speedometer/Odometer are in Kilometers. Now at 22,322. For sale is my 1990 Pontiac Sunbird. Convertible, automatic, 2.0L 4-cyl, FWD. Convertible top is in good condition, and works well. Timing belt and water pump done at 218k, brakes were done earlier this year. Engine used to burn a little oil but recently the levels have been pretty consistent. Decent mpg, but a kind of small tank, you can get to Philadelphia and back on a tank of gas from Milford. Transmission shifts strong and engine runs great. 220,xxx on the odometer (I'm driving this three or four times a week so constantly being driven), mostly highway. I have the original invoice and window sticker, because this car was only owned by three people. Have some maintenance records but I don't have much from the last two years because it has honestly needed very little. Inspection expires next month. I'm moving to Arizona with my girlfriend in July and can't take both cars otherwise I wouldn't even be thinking about selling this car. It's hands down the most reliable vehicle I've owned, and in the summer it's a blast. Some notes: you'll likely need tires before winter if you plan on daily driving this through the year. The passenger side window gets stuck sometimes. Driver's side is usually fine but isn't 100%. The interior is pretty rough (seat tears, stains), but livable. There's a piece of base trim that fell off last month and I don't have the time to fix, but I'll include that with the car. Also, there's a very small crack in the driver's side directional (still works) - I also have a replacement headlight I'll include. AC needs a recharge. Paint fade, little scratches, some weird noises every now and then - kind of the stuff you would expect from a car that's 25 years old. Car is sold as is. Clean title in hand. You will be responsible for the delivery/picking up of the vehicle.
