This was the first year Ford decided to bring back the true Thunderbird recipe, a two door convertible with a hardtop transforming it into a coupe. Ford’s design team included many styling cues from the first generation, such as the sloping rear fender and rounded edges. Powered by a 3.9L V-8 making 252 horsepower and mated with an extremely smooth five speed automatic, this Thunderbird can cruise all day. Power convertible top, windows, seats, brakes, and steering were included standard to the car, sticking true to Ford’s original plan of a luxury cruiser. We are selling this stunning Thunderbird for an elderly gentleman who purchased the car in 2009 with only 36,868 miles and has been a great steward for the car. As we have numerous receipts from throughout the cars life for all the oil changes and repairs. Most notable was from 2005 when a new air conditioner compressor was added and all 8 coil packs, spark plugs, and mass air flow sensor were replaced. The car is painted in an eye catching bright red that shows extremely well, with only very minor imperfections.
