1968 Ford Galaxie 500 Fastback, 390 V8 Automatic. Beautiful original car. My personal vehicle which I bought from the original owner whom bought it new from Dunton Ford in Santa Ana, California. Will deliver for free to the lower 48 States for the Buy It Now Price. This is a one of a kind classic car. It is not a restored show car but it is in excellent condition. It can be driven daily and is quite capable of cruising across the country at high speeds. A very reliable car due to being maintained regardless of cost. I have mostly used it for driving between my home in California and my second home in Canada. I just drove it from Santa Barbara, California 2200 miles to Canada last weekend. It barely had a break the whole trip completing it in 36 hours. Cruising at 80 mph the majority of the journey it returned 18 mpg and it never missed a beat. I have made the trip several times in this car and it has always been perfectly reliable, I would trust it to drive me anywhere. That's how reliable and usable this 47 year old classic is. As mentioned above, I purchased this car from the original owner. He had driven it for about 10 years and then placed it in dry storage up until I bought it which is why it is so well preserved. I have all of the original documentation and handbooks in excellent condition. The paint is original, the interior is original and it is all in excellent time warp condition just showing minimal wear. The condition is best described as if this was a well cared for used 68 Galaxie Fastback that you were buying in the late 70's when it was around 10 years old. That's the kind of condition it is in. I have maintained this car meticulously. When I bought it I had all new brakes fitted including rotors, pads, drums, linings, brake lines, brake hoses, brake booster and master cylinder. It is a factory power disc brake car so it stops very well. I replaced the rear suspension arms and bushings with high quality ones which can be greased. I also recently had the carburetor fully rebuilt so it starts and runs perfectly hot or cold. And the transmission had a new modulator fitted earlier this year because it had started to leak slightly. The factory AC works very well and I had it serviced and re-filled with R12 Freon this past summer. Everything works on this car exactly how it did in 1968. The 390 V8 is original to the car and in excellent condition. It is very smooth and runs beautifully with huge torque. It embarrasses many modern cars on long steep mountain grades, it just doesn't slow down no matter how steep the hill. The transmission shifts perfectly and the 9 inch rear end is quiet with no leaks. The only thing that isn't stock on this Galaxie is a very expensive custom hidden audio system I had fitted with Ipod connection. This cannot be seen as I did not want to ruin the time warp interior but it is very convenient with good sound quality. Also it has a high quality stainless steel exhaust system. Otherwise this car is exactly as it left the factory. These cars have beautifully clean styling and are a 1 year only bodystyle. Probably one of the purest looking classic American cars in Fastback form. This is a beautiful classic American car that gets a lot of attention and looks. This is not some restored show car, it is a beautifully preserved and original 2 owner car that still gets driven everywhere at high speeds just like it would have done in 1968. This Galaxie is rust free throughout. The frame and floors are as good as new. A pleasure to own and drive, the most satisfying car I have ever owned. It will be missed if sold but sadly personal circumstances are making it not look like a viable option to be able to keep it so make me a respectful offer. Truly unique, you just don't find original un-restored cars from this era that you can get in and use like this, especially not 68 Galaxie Fastback's. I have had the VIN decoded - 8 = model year: 1968J = build plant: Los Angeles Assembly Plant in Pico Rivera, California55 = Body Serial Code: Galaxie 500 2-door fastback hardtop, bench seats (69,760 produced during the 1968 model year)Y = engine: “390 Thunderbird V-8", 390-2V, 265 hp @ 4400 rpm, 390 lb-ft @ 2600 rpm, 9.5:1 compression ratio177666 = Consecutive Unit Number (CUN): 77,666th Ford car scheduled to be built at the Los Angeles Assembly Plant during the 1968 model year (Job 1 was CUN 100001) Also I had the production data decoded - BODY 63B = Body Style Code: Galaxie 500 2-door fastback hardtop, bench seats (69,760 produced during the 1968 model year)COLOR O = exterior paint color: Sea Foam Green (light green)TRIM 6G = interior trim color, material and front seat style: light ivy gold “Kiwi” pattern vinyl cushion inserts, and light ivy gold "Crinkle" grain vinyl cushions, bolsters and back, bench seatDATE 11U = scheduled build date: Sunday, August 11, 1968DSO 71 = District Sales Office: car was originally ordered through the Los Angeles, California sales district, which covered southern California and southeastern NevadaAXLE 1 = rear axle ratio, type and ring gear diameter: 2.75:1 non-locking, 9"TRANS X = transmission type and shift location: FMX SelectShift Cruise-O-Matic 3-speed automatic, column shift A $500 PayPal Deposit is required within 48 hours of sale. It will drive you home anywhere in the country if you choose to drive it home, I can pick you up from Grand Forks airport.

1963 Ford Galaxie 500 XL Description – Up for auction is this unrestored original 50,100 mile Southern California black license plate 1963 Ford Galaxie 500 XL 2 door fastback. It has always been garaged and meticulously maintained, has the XL bucket seats and a center console, but it also has a mid-year, fastback roofline. The turquoise blue/green “Ming Green” paint and interior are still the factory original and so is the optional white vinyl padded top. This Galaxie sports an impressive list of extra cost options and accessories: Thunderbird 390 V8 Cruise-O-Matic automatic transmission SelectAire air conditioning Power steering Power brakes Power bucket seat StudioSonic reverb with rear seat speaker Vinyl top Remote control fender mirror Ford script seat belts Spinner-wire-style wheelcovers Mechanically, it is in fine condition. With only 50,100 original miles, it runs strong and drives beautifully. The Thunderbird 390 V8 is remarkably powerful and the Cruse-O-Matic automatic transmission shifts smoothly. The car has a smooth and comfortable ride with power and performance. The factory air conditioning blows cold, the power seat, radio and StudioSonic reverb work along with all gauges and lights; however the heater core is disconnected (a new one is included) and the clock has stopped. It still has the original owner’s manual and miscellaneous other documentation from when it was purchased along with service and maintenance records from over the years. The interior is in exceptional original condition. The seats, door panels, headliner, dash pad, and carpet are factory original and in amazing condition. The iridescent Turquoise vinyl just glows! It even has a set of original Ford script seat belts. The trunk is also original and in clean well preserved condition with the original mat, side panels, jack assembly, and factory original spare tire. The floors and entire body are rock solid and straight. The paint is about 95 percent original with only one lower side area touched up. It still has a beautiful shine and remarkable appearance for being 52 years old and metallic! There a few small flaws but overall - it just glows. The chrome, stainless, aluminum trim and glass are all in great shape including the factory original white vinyl top. History – This beautiful Galaxie was the pride and joy of Dr. George and Phyllis Carmichael of Long Beach, California. In 1963 George and Phyllis decided it was time for a new car. They were good friends with C. B. Edwards, the owner of Edwards Ford, Inc. in Dallas Texas. He had just the car for them, sitting in the center of his showroom! The Carmichaels flew to Dallas to visit their friend, purchase this Galaxie, and drive it home on a sightseeing vacation. The Carmichaels lived in a beautiful traditional home they built in 1953 in the Park Estates neighborhood of Long Beach, California. This is where the Galaxie was garaged, driven mostly by Phyllis – running errands to the market and shopping, or to spend afternoons and evenings at the Long Beach Yacht Club and of course, the Country Club. Over the years the Carmichaels owned several Cadillacs, which came and went, but they just couldn’t part with their beloved Galaxie. In the late 1990’s, I was driving through the Park Estates neighborhood, when I spotted the Galaxie in the Carmichael’s garage. That was the beginning of a several year courtship that ended in early 2002, as Phyllis had stopped driving by then and George only took the Galaxie out occasionally on Saturday mornings to golf. They were into their 90’s and decided it was time to let the Galaxie go. George called and said “Phyllis and I aren’t getting any younger – come and get your Galaxie!” Phyllis died a few years later and George died in March 2009 at age 101. I have cared for and enjoyed this beautiful car for many years, as did Phyllis and George before me, but it’s now time for a new owner to have the opportunity to be able to enjoy and care for this amazing Galaxie. This is a stunning low mileage original example of a `63 Galaxie 500 XL, one of the nicest Ford designs of the 1960’s. It has a wonderful original patina about it. It’s well optioned, blessed with an incredible color and in exceptional condition cosmetically and mechanically. It has always been well cared for and cherished - and it shows! Transaction Specifics – No Reserve Auction - open to considering reasonable offers. If you have specific questions please ask. Inspections in person are welcome. This is a 52 year old car and it is not perfect. It is being sold as-is, where-is without any warranty stated or implied. The buyer is responsible for any and all transportation costs. This is a No-Reserve auction. Please do not bid if you are not a serious buyer and do not intend to complete the purchase transaction. If you are the winning bidder, a non-refundable PayPal or wire transfer deposit of $1,000.00 is due within 24 hours. The balance will be due upon pick up of the vehicle, which should be within two weeks. Other arrangements may be negotiated if necessary. The car is for sale locally and the owner reserves the right to cancel and end the listing early. Thank you. z250/media/63%20Galaxie/Galaxie%20interior/IMG_0949_zpsb3ipufkg.jpg.html" target="_blank">

I bought this car about three years ago. It was sitting in a building in South Carolina. The car was bought in Charlotte North Carolina in 67 and spent most of it's life in SC. The car was taken off the road in 1996. I left the inspection sticker on the windshield. The car shows 49000 miles of course it has gone around once. The motor has been gone through and the transmission also. I has a lot of paper work with the car.I replaced the red interior with all new black including carpet. It's clock still works. Has new dual exhaust, brakes ,tires ,shocks and battery. All rubber around top doors trunk and windows has been replaced. I stripped the car down to bare metal and found not one spot of rust or any patch panels. The reason I stripped was the car had been repainted and it wasn't a good job. Somebody sand blasted the trunk lid and warped it. I found a rust free trunk lid in Alabama so I drove there and brought it back home. The car's undercarriage still has the original undercoat. Has a 390cui engine with a c6 transmission. This car has never been abused and has been well taken care of. I left the car in it's pretty much original condition. The bumpers are original. I wanted to feel like a back in the day car not a total restored one that I would be afraid to drive anywhere. I never showed it (been down that road). This is a rare car one that has NEVER HAD ANY RUST IN IT! I have some extra parts that will go with it. I have did total restorations in the past so this is not my first. If you are looking for a nice unmolested classic then you need to consider this one. A $500 deposit require at end of auction. Payment in full 7 days after auction ends. Contact seller for pickup of vehicle. I may be able to deliver vehicle for a fee. Any payments made must be cleared before vehicle or title is released. Car is sold as is where is. It is your responsibility for pick up and shipping.

Strong running vehicle. New carburetor. Paint is approximately 3 years old, and is a variation of Plum Crazy Purple. This is a great driver quality cruiser. Top could use replacing, but I never drive it in the rain anyway. Newer tires. New brakes. New Exhaust. New electronic ignition. The car has Power Brakes, Power Steering, and Power Convertible top. Interior is original and in pretty good shape. Ask any questions prior to bidding. Car is sold as-is, and inspections and viewings are welcome. Again, this is a great cruiser.

Original 1968 Ford Galaxie 500 Fastback Z Code survivor. Built on May 8th, 1968 in Los Angeles. Still wearing most of the original Dark Aqua Metallic paint with a couple correctly colored touch ups over the years. Original Medium AquaCloth with Light Aqua Vinyl interior. Numbers matching with the original Z Code 390ci V8 4V engine, 2.75:1 Rear Axle, and C6 Automatic transmission. The carburetor was upgraded but the original is included. The body is straight and clean without dents or issues. Nearly rust free as shown, even the trunk has zero pin holes and it was wire cleaned to show it thoroughly. All the lights and gauges work with an oil pressure gauge added. Wipers, heater, and A/C all work! The A/C blows cool but it could be colder. The glass is clean and without damage. It is a very original and intact Fastback Galaxie 500. New Cooper Cobra tires all around. It has been gone through and maintained to be a daily driver. It needs nothing as it sits to drive and enjoy it right now. I would trust it to go anywhere. Stays cool, no smoking or leaks to resolve. The C6 transmission shifts flawlessly and the steering is tight. Disc brakes from the factory and they have been redone. All the hoses and belts and other wear items have been replaced for safe driving and reliability. Comes with the original hubcaps, the 65 style caps were put on because they were more appealing. Thousands invested just in all the standard maintenance over the last couple years. I am thinning out my collection to invest my money in my business. I took many pictures this week to show it accurately and thoroughly. I also took a video of it running. Clean California title included and current California registration through the end of 2015. International buyers accepted. I did my best to describe this Fastback 100% honestly and clearly. It is 47 years old and not a perfect new car, but it is in amazing condition especially considering the age. Feel free to email or call/txt with any questions 619-701-8716. Located in San Diego, California.

This is a complete car with all trim pieces, stainless steel, chrome, etc. . Car lived its whole life in California where I bought in San Jose in about 1995. It was my daily driver until I moved to Oregon in 1999 where car has been in dry storage since. This is an original big block 352 car -- engine was rebuilt before I bought it. CA title in my name.Recent mechanical work done in the last few months to get it back on the road includes:Brand new replacement radiator, radiator hoses, heater hoses, and radiator cap with anti freeze.Brand new water pump and thermostat.Replaced transmission fluid and transmission lines to cooler.Replaced motor oil and filter.Rebuilt carburetor & replaced air cleanerRebuilt power steering control valve (was leaking badly) and replaced all 4 power steering hoses.Completely rebuilt brakes including re-manufactured master cylinder, new brake pads, new wheel cylinders, new brake hoses all around, converted to silicon brake fluid (a must for cars not driven daily). I do have a set of power brakes that I bought a while back that I'll include with the car, but are not currently installed.Repacked front wheel bearings with fresh grease.Complete tune up (wires, plugs, points, condenser, cap, rotor, etc.)Optima battery (another must for cars not driven daily)Car starts right up now runs, drives and shifts great. Other things to note:Floor pans are in perfect shape - NO RUSTThis is a true California car - the obvious places that rust even in CA sometimes (bottom of door corners and front of quarter panels have NO RUST. Nothing on the top bows, nothing in the trunk - see the pictures under the car up on the lift - you will not be disappointed.Tires and aluminum rims are in good shape.Exhaust system was replaced before it was parked with dual pipes - in great shape and it sounds awesome on this big block motor.Engine was rebuilt shortly before I bought it.Interior upholstery is in very good shape for the age, has a few minor imperfections, no major rips or tearsHas dash cover, but actual dash is not in bad shape, it does have a couple minor cracks that could be repaired.Top is on OK shape, pretty dirty and has a good size tear on the back corner. Electric top motor and hydraulic cylinders all work great - goes up and down like it should, latches, etc.All stainless steel trim and chrome appears to be there and in good shape. Some minor digs on stainless steel that could be pushed out. Some interior chrome needs attention.Bumpers have no damage with decent chrome.Grille is in near perfect condition (I can't find anything wrong with it).Body appears very straight with no obvious signs of major damage within it's lifetime.Black paint with burgundy clear tint (shows up in bright sun) is in ok shape - overall good coverage but there is some fading, checking on trunk lid and other places, blemishes and minor scratches consistent with an older paint job. There is a small area as some minor damage to very small area of left rear corner panel. There is no sign of major body damage to be found.Includes 1964 ford service manual seen in photos (I won't need it any more).I don't know what I might be missing - I am trying to represent the car as best I can but I have not driven it for some time - please ask me any questions you might have. Car is available in Pleasant Hill, Oregon for inspection.I have no idea what the true mileage is.Comes with California Title - the car has a current "non-operational" permit taken from CA before the car was moved to Oregon. Never titled in Oregon.

The Old Oregon Motor Co. takes its name from the original Oregon Motor Company, a Ford dealership established in Portland in 1904. In 1916, the company moved into their permanent showroom located downtown at NW 8th Ave. and Davis Street. Today, the building is an art gallery and is listed in the National Register of Historic Places. Unlike its namesake, The Old Oregon Motor Co. does not have a retail location but rather is virtual in nature. Our cars can often be found on eBay under our user ID oregonmotorcompany. If you wish to view our inventory in person, showings are by appointment only. Our proprietor, Bill Penny, has been selling classic cars for over 30 years. He has worked as a salesman for some of the most prestigious dealerships on the West Coast. They include The Chequered Flag of Beverly Hills, Silicon Valley Auto Group, the Imperial Palace Auto Collection, Northwest Investment Cars, and Monte Shelton Motor Company. He also has been employed by Keith Martin's Sports Car Market magazine. The Old Oregon Motor Co. was established on January 1st, 2011 and is licensed, bonded, and insured in the State of Oregon under dealer's license number DA 3528. Below is a photo of the original Oregon Motor Company showroom as it appears today with the Overland building behind it. Note the faded Overland signage on the defunct auto elevator shaft. A great car with great lines, sleek 2 door, black on white. This is a clean, unmolested, classic car. Brand new radiator, current tags, title in hand. 40 point inspection. Buy and drive it home. It's been sitting in my garage and rarely driven. This car deserves to be out in the sun. I'm looking to sell or trade for a 2009 or newer Harley Davidson bagger of equivalent value. If you cannot pay with 48 hours, do not bid. If you do not have any feedback, contact me before bidding. Use Buy It Now, and I'll deliver within 400 miles of Huntington Beach, CA. Contact me with any questions.

1967 Ford Galaxie 500 convertible with a factory Q code 428 engine, 4BBL with automatic transmission and 73K actual miles. I bought the car from on older gentleman who purchased from the original family about 15 plus years ago. His said is the car was special ordered from by a Ford employee who then lost it to his wife in a divorce. She brought it to Minnesota where it mostly sat in storage. The Marti Report I have states the car is 1 of 146 built, which is shown in pictures and I will provide with the sale. This is a big car that floats down the road and just fly's if you step on it, especially on the highway. It's extremely fun to drive, my kids have just loved it. In addition, I discovered a local all Ford junkyard that was going out of business and was liquidating what he had. I purchased a bunch of quality 67 Galaxie parts that will go with the car, period hub caps, interior chrome etc. They are not needed, but well go with the car. I also purchased a service manual at a local car show that goes as well. This is a cool car that you will not be disappointed with. Buyer is responsible for shipping, but I will assist is any way possible Details: The body has had 1 rrepainted in its original factory color of Candy Apple Red. There is some minor bubbling around the rear tires, however it is very solidThe spotlights on each side are functional, bright and really coolAn electric radiator fan was installed to keep her running cool if you are in paradesTransmission has been rebuiltRims have been sand blasted and repainted in black...Look like newNew tiresNew Breaks on all 4sNew Starter New BatteryBottom of the front seat is reupholstered
