Selling due to moving to Ecuador. Runs and drives great. I would not hesitate to drive anywhere. Drives way nicer than any other kodiak I have been in due to the air suspension and oversized tires. This set up helps this truck drive more like a traditional pick up rather than a super stiff mini-semi like most kodiaks. This had been my work truck so it has a few associated scratches, dings, rock chips but is still a very, very nice truck. It shows very well. One surface crack on rear dually bed. Not all the way through. All removed emissions equipment is included if needed for reinstallation. Tires have approximately 3-5k left on them. I don't rotate them so they wear a bit heavy. I bought this little pickup truck about three years ago with the intention of fixing it up and having a really nice, almost like new pickup truck that would be my daily driver and get INCREDIBLE MILEAGE! It would be everything I wanted in a little pickup truck, a 4-cylinder diesel engine with a 5-speed manual transmission in a nice and straight little pickup truck, nice custom wheels, etc., but my life is going in a different direction, and soon I will have no room to store it. It took me weeks to find the parts I needed to rebuild the engine., and then it took me weeks longer to have it rebuilt! After many hours on the phone and many more on the internet I found what I think was the last .40 over pistons in existence. I had them shipped in from overseas, then I found some of the bearings and rods from a place in the Midwest and a gasket kit from back east, etc... I literally bought the parts I needed from all over the world! If you have ever tried to do a COMPLETE rebuild on one of these engines then you know that it is practically impossible to find ALL of the parts to do it. As far as I know I have the only one that has been bored out with new pistons, rods, bearings, valves etc.. It is a complete rebuild, not just honed out with some new rings put in. It is complete and ready to put back in the truck! As you can see in the photos I left the head off of it and took photos of the cylinder walls, tops of the pistons, and valves on the head so you can see the cross hatching of the pistons and see that the pistons and valves are new. The 5-speed transmission comes with a VERY difficult to find rebuild kit too. It doesn't really need it, but when you shift from first to second it does not go into gear quite as smoothly as it does in the other gears, so I figured since I was going to rebuild the engine I may as well rebuild the transmission too. So off I went to get a kit to rebuild for that too, and it also took me weeks to find! It turns out that the kits to rebuild the transmissions are not that easy to find either. You can find the partial rebuild kits, but this one is a more complete kit with parts the others don't have! I never got the time to put the kit in the transmission, but it is included with the truck when you buy it and is ready to put in the transmission. Now for the body of the truck. Another reason I bought this truck was because the body is really straight. I tried to get some photos of a few of the very minor dings in the truck, but because it is white and the dings are very minor I had a difficult time getting them to show up in photos. The body is not perfect, but it is really nice, especially for a truck this age. I did drive it before I took the engine out and the brakes worked well, the steering was tight, and other than the engine that I smoked and needed to be rebuilt, it was a very solid little truck. The glass is all good on it as is the chrome etc.., and yes, it does come with a very rare and very handy double door, extra tall insulated canopy. It could use some new panelling inside, but does not leak. Well, that's about it. If you know anything about these little Isuzu diesel 223 engines than you know that they get great mileage and last forever ( I have a friend who says he gets close to 50 mpg on his little 2 wheel drive diesel like this one. You may also know that basically the only difference between the Chevy Luv trucks and the Isuzu trucks is the emblems...the body parts are all the same. If taken care off these little trucks can go many hundreds of thousands of miles without needing a rebuild. All of the parts that were in this truck when it was driveable are included, all you have to do is put it back together with the rebuilt engine and transmission and your good to go. When you get this truck together you will probably have the only completely rebuilt truck in existence with zero miles on the rebuild. By the way, I had the engine rebuilt at a local, highly skilled machine shop that rebuilds many engines for everything from diesel tractors to highly modified and very expensive race cars...and I have all of the receipts for the rebuild parts and the receipts for the labor from the shop where the work was done. I will hate to see it sell because I know I will probably never get another chance to have a truck like this. Please note, I will need a $400 deposit and the truck must be paid for and picked up within three weeks after the end of the listing unless other arrangements are made before a purchase is made. This truck does come with a clear title, and I will be happy to assist you or your shipper in loading the truck. 1976 GMC 15 previous owner switched all the trim to Chevy. This is a factory 454 short wide bed 2 wheel drive. Glove box option list shows 454 and vin number verifies that to be correct. It currently has a good running 350 but i am including a ready to run complete date code correct 454. Other factory options are turbo 400 transmission, a/c (all there but not working), 12 bolt rear end, HD trailer suspension and wiring, tilt wheel, sliding rear window, It has later model alloy wheels with new tires. I am also including a set of 15x8 rallys with centers but no trim rings, Tires on the rallys are mounted but weathered. Interior is worn but i have new carpet, and cloth seat reupulstery kit from LMC still in the boxes. Door panels are great shape, dash has some cracks. Windshield is new. Has old school sound system with box and speakers behind the seat and cassette player. Body does not have any major dents. Lots of little dings from 39 years of use. Its factory color is frost white but the paint is in poor condition.Floors, rockers, window frames, wheel wells are rust free and solid. Lower front fenders, passenger lower cab corner and under the battery box have some corrosion and will need work. The suspension has not been lifted, lowered or altered in any way. All extras will be in the bed covered with a aluminum canopy. So, you get a rare option truck, 2 good running engines, new interior kit, 2 sets of wheels and tires, and canopy, at a awesome price. I am only posting this truck because anouther vehicle i want has come up for sale. If it does not sale at the end of this 7 day listing i will continue to turn it into my personal shop truck. These factory 454 short beds do not come up for sale often at a reasonable price. 5900.00 is what i need and thats a great price for a rare option truck. I have include a photo of the glove box option list. I drive this truck on a regular basis. It starts stops steers as it should. has a slight pull to the right. I been meaning to get an alignment done just havent got around to it. I did just get the title transfered to my name. Oregon takes 3-4 weeks to get the new title to me. I have a temporary registration and bill of sale until then. It is a clean title. I believe I have covered everything. Its a good one to either restore or just drive it and use it like a truck.
