0 0 1 394 2251 OGSNA 18 5 2640 14.0 Normal 0 false false false EN-US JA X-NONE This 1967 Chevy Nova is a sinister looking street machine that has just over 200 miles since the build was completed. It was a feature car in the Super Chevy "Nova Annual" edition which highlighted its awesome performance and quality build characteristics. The motor is a wicked 406 small block with a Gallies crank, Howards Rods, SRP pistons and a Comp Cam. Managing the fuel and air is a Barry Grant 850 Demon carb and providing a wicked spark is an MSD distributor and 6AL box. The motor exhales through a set of Sanderson exhaust manifolds and a custom-built 3-inch exhaust with Dynomax mufflers. Cooling down the motor is a trick Be Cool Radiator with Dual fans as well as a Be Cool oil cooler. The Chevy puts out nearly 500 HP and is very responsive. It's also a rocket out of the hole and a great car to cruise around town! The body on the Nova is a wonderfully straight and was stripped down to bare metal before it received its new base/clear paint job. The paint has been freed from the bonds of orange peel via a thorough wet-sanding and then polished to perfection. The chrome is new and the trim is polished out and the original stainless fits as it should. The Chevy II has all OEM panels with the exception of the cowl hood and is has excellent panel fitment. The transmission is a 700 R4 with 3 forward gears and an overdrive gear. It might seem tame, but the 2,800 stall helps launch the car pretty aggressively. The rear end is a trick Ford 9" with Trac-Lock 3.50 gears, and Strange 31 Spline axles. The grip off the line is just right and the car tracks nicely even while laying down the rubber. The rear suspension consists of a Global West multi-spring set up with a 3" drop combined with calipers and rotors from Strange. The front suspension is a Fat Man independent front suspension. With the Fat Man set up, the Nova gained disc brakes, power rack and pinion and an adjustable coil over setup that handles so much better than the factory Nova stuff ever did. If you are looking for a mean cruiser that has the ability to get downright wicked, this little Nova is big on power and handles like a charm. Engine: • SBC 400/406 • 11:1 compression • Gallies Comp. Up for sale in our Houston showroom is one of the more popular compact automobiles produced by Chevrolet, the Nova. The Nova was manufactured from 1962 through 1979 and 1985 through 1988 in which five generations were brought to the table with different styles. Originally introduced as the Chevy II, that nameplate was dropped and Nova was taken as the nameplate for the 1969 through 1979 models. This 1970 Nova is part of the third generation which was fully redesigned with an extensive restyle on a longer 111-inch wheelbase that gave Chevy\'s compacts a chassis that was just one inch shorter than that of the midsize Chevelle coupe. The station wagon and hardtop sport coupe were discontinued, the former in line with an industry trend which left AMC the only American maker of compact station wagons until Chrysler rejoined the market in 1976. As with other 1969 GM vehicles, locking steering columns were incorporated into the Nova. Simulated air extractor/vents were added below the Nova script, which was relocated to the front fender behind the wheelwell instead of the rear quarter panel. The 350 cu in (5.7 L) V8 with four-barrel carburetor that came standard with the SS option was revised with a 5 hp increase to 300 hp, while a two-barrel carbureted version of the 350 cu in (5.7 L) V8 rated at 255 hp was a new option on non-SS models. The 1970 Nova was basically a carryover from 1969. The side marker and taillight lenses for the 1970 Nova were wider and positioned slightly differently. Out of 254,242 Novas sold for 1970, 19,558 were the SS 350 or SS 396 version. This particular 2 door example is sporting a 350 C.I.D V8 and 3 speed automatic transmission. The Champagne Gold looks great with the Black stripes and with a matching color interior, this Nova just looks mean and mixes really well with the American Racing Special Edition wheels. The options on this 1970 Nova include: a/c, am radio, aluminum wheels, performance tires, power brakes, power steering, radial tires, seatbelts and vinyl interior. Up for sale in our Houston showroom is one of the most popular compact cars Chevrolet had to offer, the 1971 Nova. The Nova, originally known as the Chevy II, was offered for sale by Chevrolet for the model years 1962-1980 and 1985-1988. During the time it was known as the Chevy II, the Nova was the top model until the Chevy II nameplate was dropped, Nova becoming the nameplate for the 1969 through 1979 models were then built on the X-body platform. The third generation of the Nova brought a fully redesigned line-up that now sported a longer 111%26acirc;? wheelbase. Sporting a very gorgeous Red exterior coat, this Nova would look great no matter where you put it and when you open the door to take a peek inside you will find a Red and Black cloth interior. When you lift up the hood, you see the famed 350 C.I.D V8 sitting below the Edelbrock carburetor that has been nicely detailed. From the driver%26acirc;??s seat you control the 3 speed automatic transmission with a B%26M shifter that is backed by a 3.73 gear. The Red paint looks great on this Nova and is complimented nicely by the polished American Racing wheels concealing the front disc brakes. The options on this 71%26acirc;??
