This car was originally delivered to Schwinghammer Chevrolet, in Sacred Heart,Minnesotaand spent the majority of the next forty-plus years there. A frame-on restoration was just completed, using only the best of materials. Once completed the car has accumulated only a very few miles, to make sure that everything works correctly. For the restoration the car was completely disassembled and stripped to bare fiberglass. The body of this vehicle still wears all the original panels and the body fit is laser straight and better than new. Once the body was prepared, it was given a fresh coat of the correct Steel Cities Gray (code 53) and correct White LT-1 stripes were replaced on the hood. Only the best modern Standox base coat clear-coat paint was used. The frame was cleaned and coated with the proper chassis black. New brake calipers with stainless steel inserts were installed and the master cylinder was also replaced. The interior has been completely redone with new seat trim and carpet. The convertible top was also replaced with a correct top, including the dated rear window and tag. The original LT1 – 350 engine (code CGZ) and all associated parts, including the smog system were examined. Everything was reassembled and the entire engine assembly was given a coat of the correct Chevrolet engine orange paint. All the exterior emblems were replaced with either new or NOS pieces. The restoration on this LT-1 Corvette is 100% “factory correct”, right down to the new set of original style Firestone F70x15 tires. This is a top notch car that is worthy of going to a good home! It runs and drives perfectly. It will make a great addition to any car collection. It comes with the original Chevrolet tank sticker and a correct reproduction Chevrolet window sticker. Beautiful 1973 Corvette Coupe with T-Tops. This is a very nice car for daily use or local car shows and cruise nights. Corvette was painted about 8 years ago and shows very nice with only a couple of minor scratches. Chrome on the bumpers is very nice. Brand new BFGoodrich Radial TA tires 245 60 15 with only about 10 miles on them. Options are power steering, automatic trans and luggage rack. Engine is matching numbers and runs excellent. Brakes work great and exhaust is in good shape. Doors lock and unlock like they should. No battery drain with this car! Holds a charge even after sitting for a month. And yes, frame is in great condition. First owner from 1973 till 2013. If you are looking for a nice car to just get in and drive without having to do a bunch of work then this is the car for you!
