This is a very solid 1970 Mercedes 280s . The car runs but new owner will need to buy and have the transmission installed. The car is a excellent candidate for a total restoration or drive it as is after you install the transmission. The engine runs fine except for slight flutter in one carb. This car is being offered with no transmission, but you can find the w108 Transmission on ebay for $350 with a 90 day warranty. Brian #9562033258
This classic Mercedes runs well and has been regularly serviced. The body has some rust and the mileage is unknown; the odometer is frozen at 00299. In addition, the interior upholstery is torn and the carpet has been removed. The automatic transmission shifts smoothly, but the indicator on the instrument panel is one letter off; in other words, "N" means Drive, not "D." Before I purchased the Benz, someone had replaced the original steering wheel and stereo. She has power windows, but at the moment they do not operate. Finally, the air conditioner needs repair. This car would be a fine candidate for restoration.
