For years it was my main work vehicle I drove it on th East/West express way and I4 in Florida without insident, this vehicle is powerful and very responsive. In the last few years I have been not so healthy and this has put me out of work and unable to be getting up from the seat of the car, in other words it's too low for me. And because I can't work bill are building, so sadly I have to let this vehicle go, it has tons of life left!

Up for auction is my excellent 1985 Pontiac Fiero GT. V6 2.8 liter, Automatic 3 speed, all miles original. I have owned the car for more than a year, restoring it almost completely. Title is clear. Having extra vehicles and storage fees are just too much to make keeping it cost effective (as I only drive it once in awhile on nice days). The previous owner had lots of work done to it. I will list those repairs below. I have had a lot of restoration projects done on the car the past year. Those are listed below, too. I understand that I am not going to get all of my investment back from selling it. I am looking for a good owner (preferably an enthusiast). The first owner owned the car from June 1985 - 2014. The second owner was one of my Army Reserve friends who took great care of it. I am the third owner. There aren't many of these GT models left in good condition. EXTREMELY RARE, 1988 PONTIAC FIERO GT WITH T-TOPS, AUTOMATIC, ONLY 50,198 MILES, AMAZING CONDITION, READY TO SHOW AND GO!!! 1 OF 614 FACTORY T-TOP FIERO GT'S EVER PRODUCED!!! This is truly one of those unique opportunities to buy a collectible sports car that was ordered loaded up with rare options and has truly been pampered and extremely well maintained throughout its life. Hard to believe this car is now 29 years old! The body is in fantastic condition and was never in any accidents nor shows any rust anywhere. The original red paint still shines beautifully. Upon close inspection you will find a few very tiny rock chips along the front bumper but this is the original factory paint. I point out these minor flaws to let you know it is not absolutely flawless but I am confident the next lucky owner will be thrilled with its original condition. All of the original VIN stickers are present on all body panels. Pop-up headlights function perfectly. The body style on the Fiero GT is really quite sleek and this Red beauty attracts attention wherever it goes. Of the 6848 1988 Pontiac Fiero GT's produced, only 614 had the Factory T-Top option ordered and this is one of those rare optioned cars. This can be verified on the production sticker that shows the CJ8 Code that indicates this was one of the cars that GM sent to Cars and Concepts (C&C) to have the T-Tops installed before it was then shipped out to the dealer. The T-Tops are in great condition and come with the original T-Top cover bags. They fit snug and and tight and do not leak. It almost smells new! The tan cloth seats compliment the red exterior beautifully and are in amazing condition with no signs of wear. Dash looks perfect, center console looks new, carpeting looks great and original floor mats still look good. Power windows and power mirrors function properly. The original steering wheel and shifter show no wear which is amazing. All of the gauges and lights appear to be working correctly and the A/C blows nice and cold. This GT was ordered with all options including the power mirrors, windows, and cruise control and the only option not on the vehicle is a rear window defogger. It also has the very rare Performance Factory Sound Option with sub woofer. All of the speakers except the sub were replaced by me and the system looks original and sounds great. Overall the interior is simply show ready awesome! The Fiero's mid engine layout was chosen as a way to reduce aerodynamic drag and vehicle weight to improve fuel efficiency and for its handling, traction and braking benefits. The 1988 GT model is considered the most desired for many reasons. Numerous changes were made to the 1988 Fiero with the most significant one being a completely redesigned suspension to realize the full potential of the mid-engine layout. This new suspension included new two piece brake calipers and upgraded rotors. The GT model included the V6 motor with 43 horsepower more than the 4 cylinder, upgraded suspension and wider tires. Topping off the package was the new vented disc brake set up on all 4 corners. During the final year of production the Pontiac, MI plant where the Fiero was produced was shut down and Pontiac made the decision to cease production in February, 1988. There were only a total of 6849 Fiero GT's produced in this final year. Research shows there were some interesting comparisons of the Fiero GT to the Ferrari 308 and performance statistics would surprise the heck out of you on the Fiero. It is known that Pontiac purchased several Ferrari 308's for handling and engineering and comparison purposes. Some called the Fiero the mini Ferrari that was far more affordable. The original gold wheels are in excellent condition. Front trunk area looks like it did in 1988 and the engine bay and trunk are extremely nice and near perfect. The only two things not stock on this car (having been replaced by the previous owner) are the rear view mirror and radio. The original cassette was replaced by a factory Pontiac CD unit which matches perfectly and only an expert would know it is an upgrade. The rear view mirror was replaced with an auto dimming compass Pontiac model and again looks perfectly stock. This car is a fully loaded great example of this fine collectable mid engine American made machine. Deposit required within 48 hours of purchase. This is the last and best year for the Fiero, and if you are reading this, most likely you already know the historical significance of this one year only GM car from its unique space frame inner construction to its marriage of flex and hard outer body panels that give it its good looks. All fieros made prior to 1988 had leftover parts from discontinued GM cars (citation/chevette and all its cousins) in their assembly, leaving their owners wanting better performance and handling. For 1988 Gm spent some 40 million dollars to give the 88 GT upgraded suspension handling and performance improvements making it into a world class competitor , produced the car a few months, then pulled the plug on production making it a one year only car. Road and Track/Car and Driver along with various other car publications told its readers to go out and buy one and put it away as it was destined to be a future collector car. This is what we have here, a 1988 Pontiac Fiero GT that was bought and put away in 1988,a true time capsule that was purchased from the previous owner who moved and lost storage, all 100% original except for ac refrigerant (changed ac to r134 as r12 no longer available). RUNNING PROJECT CAR WITH CLEAN NYS TITLE IN MY NAME. very cool little car in the fastback style of the fiero. starts runs drives stops as is. higher mileage at 176k on odometer. has been driven recently to keep components working. overall fair condition. interior is gray/black fair condition has wear but all there has power windows mirrors and a sunroof. paint is not original and is showing age has chips scratches and front passenger side fender has a crack in it i have a replacement i can include. no damage to space frame V6 2.8L engine with automatic transmission. has headers and dual exhaust installed couple exhaust leaks no big deal can always swap back to stock manifolds and y pipe. has 15x7 honeycomb lace wheels all around front tires have tread left, rear tires are wearing and need to be replaced. could also use brake pads soon. GT sail windows and tail lights are very good condition. the car will need other repairs since its an older car but nothing major. GREAT PROJECT CAR TO FIX UP OR POSSIBLE ENGINE SWAP FIERO. SOLD AS IS. I HAVE KEY AND CLEAN TITLE IN HAND.

Not only does this one have a powerful 327 ci V8, but also a custom interior and exterior. So now you can have a very unique build that fits into any budget. There aren't many better colors on a mid-engine sports car than bright red, and the Fiero GT wears it quite well. In fact, Fieros have often been harvested to create replicas of exotic Italian cars, so it's nice to see one transformed into an exotic American. Because this Fiero GT is special, it has some standout features like the new front end with a more intricate design. It also looks more modern with the flip up headlights switched to narrow units behind flush-mounted glass (even the Lamborghini Diablo did that later in its life!) The ground effects, bold rear wing, and dual exhaust have a great custom look, but they were all actually direct from the factory. It's capped off with a nice set of Ruff Racing five-star wheels. Unlike the mid-engine European cars, the Fiero's design does not sacrifice interior space. This is thanks to a very upright design that gives you a very airy feeling. The tan leather seats are exceptionally comfortable because they are buckets borrowed from a C4 Corvette. It has the same tone of other tan interior elements such as the center console, carpets, door panels, and dash. This Fiero was built with plenty of comfort features such as air conditioning, power windows, and an aftermarket AM/FM/CD stereo system. The driver gets a wood and leather three spoke steering wheel, and beyond that is a gauge package that includes a new Bosch tachometer with a redline that reflects the new motor. Many believed the Fiero could have handled a much larger powerplant than what went in at the factory. But what GM didn't accomplish, a few independent spirits did. So this Fiero GT is quite special with a 327 cubic-inch V8 motor in the original rear engine bay. This was rebuilt less than 5,000 miles ago, and is reported to produce around 350 hp. But more than just powerful, this small block is reliable with a new water pump and alternator installed in the last few months. The added power is mated to a five-speed manual transmission. So now this is a well-balanced mid-engine machine with plenty of power on tap, that also has a fully independent suspension, the Fiero's legendary lively steering, four-wheel disc brakes, and low-profile Falken Ziex tires. This is an interesting build that showcases the potential we all knew the Fiero had. Best of all this custom build easily fits into a budget.
