With handsome good looks that are common to all the Advance Design pickups, it's instantly recognizable and has become one of the driving forces behind the surging popularity of vintage trucks. Simple is always better on these trucks, and the icy white paint job keeps it looking smooth without taking away from the old-school look. The 5-window cab is the one to own, with improved visibility and a bright, airy interior, and collectors always grab these first. Well finished, it's a nice blend of original panels and recent paint that was done not to stun judges at a car show, but to stand out in a crowd full of red and black and wildly painted pickups. It's got a great shine and there's obviously plenty of time invested in getting the bodywork straight, or else it was an ultra-clean original, or maybe both. The grille was painted to match and there's a simple bumper up front with a roll pan with LED taillights in back, and there's just the right amount of jewelry with chrome door handles and mirrors. The oak bed is refinished with stainless rub strips and a hidden fuel filler cap, and the contrast against the white paint is pretty sharp. Inside there's a pair of late-model bucket seats that are comfortable and supportive, and while it's important to realize that these vehicles were tools, the cloth and leather upholstery gives it an upscale look inside. The door panels are finished in a combination of painted steel that matches the body and tweed inserts that soften the interior somewhat. Gray carpets help with noise control and there's a full headliner overhead that makes it feel very finished. The steel dash is intact and full of big, round Auto Meter gauges that appear to have been specifically designed for this application. The rest of the dash has been smoothed for a clean look and a low-profile A/C system was tucked in underneath. The fat Grant steering wheel on a tilt column makes it easy to get comfortable at the wheel, so this truck is ideal for your next Power Tour. Power comes from a fresh 350 cubic inch Summit Racing crate motor, which is an easy fit in the 3100's engine bay. With the A/C system, there's a lot going on, but they still dressed it up with chrome valve covers and a matching air cleaner, and the work looks very OEM. There's a big aluminum radiator up front, a Holley carburetor on an Edelbrock intake manifold, and a serpentine belt drive system for the accessories. Long-tube headers feed a custom dual exhaust system that sounds just about right, and it's got both power steering and power disc brakes thanks to a Camaro subframe transplant. There's also a 700R4 4-speed automatic overdrive transmission, so it's a fantastic highway cruiser, and the 10-bolt rear end is happy to cooperate. The chassis hasn't been detailed for show, but it is solid with no issues rolls on painted steel wheels with staggered 205/70/15 front and 245/60/15 rear blackwalls that look right on a commercial vehicle. Ready to enjoy and still able to do a little work on the side, this Chevy is a great example of a segment of the hobby that will be seeing big gains in the coming years. With recent paint, a strong-running small block, and a very reasonable price, this F-body delivers a whole lot of bang for the buck. Repainted within the last year, the frosty silver finish gives this Z/28 a sophisticated, upscale look that's all out of proportion to its price tag. They skipped the usual decals, making it clean and sleek rather than dated-looking, and that's a big plus when you're talking about one of these cars. The urethane nose is in excellent shape, there's a billet insert in the lower grille opening for a cleaner look, and that hood is still one of the best designs of the era. Out back, you get a three-piece rear spoiler on the trunk that's as much a part of the Camaro look as the Bowtie emblem. The work is quite good, not show quality but certainly in line with what you would have received from the factory, and we have to admit that after looking at so many of these in plain, boring '70s colors, the silver looks pretty darned good to our eyes. It doesn't look like it's ever been a rusty car. A few bumps and bruises on the chin spoiler are the major demerits, but that's probably unavoidable and it's really quite minor. The black and gray interior is a combination of new and original components and all together, it has a very sleek, up-to-date look. The seats are in excellent shape and are as supportive as they look, perfect for the Z/28's performance. The carpets are in good order, protected by some heavy-duty floor mats and the door panels are probably original pieces that still look decent. The gray dash, steering wheel, and center console add some contrast that really brightens up the interior and the gauges are in good order. The steering wheel is one of the cooler designs to come out of GM in the 1970s, a kind of homage to the string-wrapped steering wheels racers used in the teens and '20s, and the shifter is only a few inches away. A later Pioneer AM/FM/CD/iPod stereo head unit is in the dash and this car carries options like power windows and locks, so it's easy to use in the daily grind. The trunk is also pretty original, with factory mats and a spare tire with matching cover. The engine is a 350 cubic inch V8 with 4-bolt mains that's been rebuilt to deliver more power than you'd generally get in 1979. An Edelbrock intake manifold and 4-barrel carburetor surely help, and it sure idles like there's an upgraded camshaft inside. The engine bay is tidy, with the chrome air cleaner being the only component that really stands out as non-OEM, and the reliable hardware is hard to beat. Stock-style cast iron exhaust manifolds feed a true dual exhaust system that sounds great and the TH350 3-speed automatic transmission has quick reflexes for around town cruising. It's tidy and clean, if not detailed for show underneath, and with highway-friendly gears in the 10-bolt rear end, this is an easy car to like regardless of what you're doing with it. 5-spoke alloy wheels from a later Z have been fitted and they carry 235/60/15 white-letter radials that look brand new. A clean, sleek take on an old favorite, this Camaro delivers fresh paint and a strong-running motor for a very small investment. Just go out and have fun with it and call today! 1979 Chevrolet Camaro for Sale 1979 Chevrolet Camaro for Sale Stock # 2878-ATL Charlotte Showroom 5400 West WT Harris Blvd Charlotte, NC 28269 Local/International: (704) 598-2130 Toll-Free: (866) 542-8392 Hours: Tues - Fri: 9AM - 6PM EST Sat: 9AM - 5PM EST Email: [email protected] Atlanta Showroom 213 Thornton Rd Lithia Springs, GA 30122 Local/International: (678) 279-1609 Toll-Free: (877) 367-1835 Hours: Tues - Fri: 9AM - 6PM EST Sat: 9AM - 5PM EST Email: [email protected] Dallas/Fort Worth Showroom 5400 Sandshell Dr Fort Worth, TX 76137 Local/International: (817) 764-8000 Toll-Free: (855) 877-2707 Hours: Tues - Fri: 9AM - 6PM CST Sat: 9AM - 5PM CST Email: [email protected] Tampa Showroom 4610 Pet Lane Lutz, FL 33559 Local/International: (813) 501-1630 Hours: Tues - Fri: 9AM - 6PM EST Sat: 9AM - 5PM EST Email: [email protected] TERMS OF SALE Vehicle may be sold by Streetside Classic Cars prior to the end of the auction. Big, muscular, and downright menacing, it's what you'd imagine a lumberjack or a guy who wrestles alligators would drive, and it makes no apologies for it. Of course, it backs things up with a thumping 383 inch stroker motor, but we'll get to that part in a moment. Of course being tough doesn't mean beat-up, and this very clean southern truck offers all-original sheetmetal and bodywork straight enough to calibrate scientific instruments. The burgundy paint is fairly recent and while it wasn't intended for show duty, it does look pretty darned good in the sunlight. You can't argue with the rugged good looks on these trucks, either, and regardless of what color they're wearing, they always look great. Everything just as the factory intended, which works extremely well with the handsome burgundy finish, and all the stainless trim makes it look dressed up. All the original badges are in place, including the '350' emblems on the front fenders, even though they're not quite telling the truth. Up front, a basic egg crate grille and a matching chrome bumper give it an honest look that has won admirers for decades. But it's more than just a handsome truck, it's also ready to work, with a bed protected by a spray-in bed liner so you won't be afraid to take it to Home Depot next Saturday. Sticking to the basics works inside, too, where there's a bench seat with handsome black upholstery that has a cool nostalgic vibe to it. It's all in excellent condition, as you'd expect in a truck this nice, including those '70s funky tooled door panels that were a GM favorite. Factory gauges cover the basics, and someone has thoughtfully added a temperature gauge under the dash. There's factory A/C, which is always a nice find, plus a recent Pioneer AM/FM/CD stereo head unit with custom speakers built into the headliner, so it sounds great. The final ingredient is a late-model tolt steering column and steering wheel, which looks right at home in the Chevy's cabin thanks to its OEM origins. Power comes from a rumbling aluminum head 383 cubic inch small block that was rebuilt about 2000 miles ago. With a 4-barrel carburetor and dual exhaust as power-building additions, the engine springs to life easily and pulls the relatively lightweight truck around with genuine authority, with a feel that's a lot like a vintage muscle car. Surrounded by power building hardware, including an MSD ignition system, Edelbrock carburetor and intake manifold, and matching finned valve covers just for good measure. A chrome alternator has been fitted, along with power steering and brakes to make the truck easy to drive under any conditions. It's backed by a TH400 3-speed automatic transmission and the original rear end, which hangs on coil springs to make the ride pleasant and not pickup truck harsh. It's been lowered just a bit, giving it a nasty attitude without killing ride quality, and it sits on steel wheels with cool Corvette hubcaps for an unusual twist on the OEM look. A very cool truck that doesn't need flash and bright paint to attract attention, and it's truly a blast to drive. The last of the C3s always seem to be silver or white or black, but this handsome dark red 1980 'Vette hits all the right buttons. Powered by a fresh ZZ4 crate motor and fitted with a handsome leather interior, this is definitely a party on wheels at a very attractive price. No worries, however, because code 76 "Dark Claret" was on the 1980 Corvette color chart and it looks awfully similar to the burgundy finish it wears today. It's not this particular 'Vette's original color, but it's a great look, deep and rich without trending towards orange, and the guys who did the respray made sure everything was smooth and straight before they started shooting. That means good gaps, no stress cracks around the headlight doors, and front and rear bumper cones that actually match the rest of the car. There are a few signs of use and some light scratches, but a lot of it would disappear with a professional buff and detail. The deep chin spoiler and ducktail spoiler out back give the Corvette a hyper-performance look that suits its personality just fine, and even after more than 30 years, it still grabs peoples' attention on the street. There's not a lot of trim on the 1980 models, but things like the shiny rocker panel trim and 'corvette' lettering on the trunk make it really stand out. Go ahead, admit it: this is the car you've wanted since you were a kid. The disco era was in full swing when this Corvette hit the streets, and the code 792 Claret leather makes the most of the fashion of the time. Fortunately, the articulated bucket seats are in reasonable condition given their age, with leather that's still pliable and now showing a comfortable, lived-in look that only leather can offer. Loaded with options like power windows and locks, A/C, a tilt/telescope wheel, cruise control, power antenna, and a rear defroster, the Corvette had finally matured into a real car that could be driven every day. Lift off the T-tops and it's an open air experience that combines the rumble of the exhaust with the whoosh of V8 acceleration, and you'll be pleased to know that they seal up tight. The fastback roofline added much-needed storage volume, and the cargo bay is nicely preserved despite that big rear window and the added sunlight (which is why there's a retractable cargo cover). The only notable upgrade is an AM/FM/CD/iPod stereo head unit that's a neat fit in the original dash. The L82 was the top motor in 1980, but that wheezer was replaced 1500 miles ago with a snarling ZZ4 350 cubic inch crate motor. Up top there's a Bowtie intake manifold and an Edelbrock 4-barrel carburetor and with 330 horsepower on tap, it's roughly twice as powerful as it was when it was new. There's plenty of other new equipment designed to keep it in top condition, including a new alternator, belts, and hoses, making this a Corvette you can drive anywhere with confidence. It's backed by a freshly rebuilt TH350 3-speed automatic transmission and carries a set of long-tube headers and a new dual exhaust system underneath, so the soundtrack is right. Gorgeous machined aluminum wheels were original equipment and now carry fat 275/60/15 BFGoodrich T/A radials. C3 Corvettes are popular for a reason, and you can get into this one for the price of a used Hyundai. Spend some time nailing down the details and you'll have a car that runs and looks like it should cost thousands more. With just one owner, someone obviously took exceptionally good care of it and with just one repaint several years ago, it still looks like it should cost thousands more than it does. OK, we know that the market for 1985 Corvettes is a little soft, but look at this one carefully. It's extremely affordable, and if you're looking for massive bang for the buck, this low-mileage Corvette is awfully appealing. The color is Black Rose from the 1992 Corvette color chart, and this C4 wears it especially well, accentuating the wedge-shaped profile that was still 100% Corvette but a big change from the aging C3. Given its history, the paint is in outstanding condition as you'd expect, but perhaps you've forgotten just how good a C4 can look. The finish is glossy, the composite panels are super straight (it's not like they dent or rust), and the doors open and close with the characteristic C4 thunk that sounds impressively solid. Even the weather-stripping is in excellent condition so this 'Vette seals up well and whispers through the air at highway speeds. The only notable modification is a set of blue-dot lenses in the stock taillights, and it seems to work rather well with the dark purple paint. The gray leather interior is just as nice as the exterior, with optional power articulated bucket seats that were state-of-the-art in 1985. C4 fans will find it easy to get comfortable here and as you'd expect, everything is in very good condition. The leather looks well-maintained save for some very minor stretching on the driver's lower cushion, and the carpets and door panels are quite nice. The digital dashboard was very exciting news for 1985 and remarkably, it's fully functional with bright graphics and complete displays. Just about everything was standard for the Corvette, including power windows and locks, A/C, cruise control, and the familiar Delco AM/FM/cassette stereo in the center stack. There's also a useful trip computer that still does its thing, and a surprising amount of storage capacity in the hatch area, and yes, the gas struts that hold up the hatch still work! The only engine available in the 1985 Corvette was the indestructible torque factory known as the L98. With so few miles on the clock, it's barely broken-in, and is instantly recognizable for its long-tube intake runners that are the key to its impressive torque production. It's also highly adaptable to modifications, but aside from the K&N air filter, this one remains 100% stock and as the factory delivered it with most of its original equipment still in place. Anything that needed maintenance got it, and it runs superbly today. It also carries the desirable Doug Nash 4+3 manual transmission, which feels like a good old 4-speed but offers overdrive cruising for long-distance comfort. Brakes are powerful, the Z51 suspension is track-ready, and you'll recall how blown away you were when you first saw those ultra-wide 255/50/16 Goodyears in 1985. Too cool! Oh, yeah, the stock wheels have been chrome plated to give it a custom look that works rather well on the early C4. A fast, fun 'Vette that will entertain the crowds with its awesome look, gets you a guaranteed invite to all the big Corvette events, and costs less than a used Honda. How can you go wrong? The best cars are those that are fully updated mechanically, yet look so spectacular that it's hard to believe they've been driven. This 1955 Chevy Bel Air 2-door post coupe is such a vehicle, with heart-stopping good looks and a totally streetable attitude. There are a lot of 1955 Chevys out there, that's true. It's a popular car, both then and now, and the reasons folks fall in love with them are obvious. But to rise to the top, to have a car that can be driven and enjoyed, while delivering the kind of looks that makes kids and grown men stop in their tracks as it drives by, well, that's not as easy as it sounds. So you'll definitely appreciate this car's beautiful black-over-silver paint scheme, which is a bit modern, but sticks to the factory's break points for the colors, and keeps all the original trim intact. The finish is show-quality all the way, with excellent gaps and enough time invested in the bodywork to make it really stand out from lesser cars. We love the look of the black top and the tinted windows, but nothing has been shaved, altered, or tweaked, proving once again that the right paint can make or break a car. There's another sizeable chunk of change invested in getting the chrome refinished, but the results were definitely worth it, as it sparkles like jewelry on this Bel Air and the overall look delivers in a big way. The interior is wonderfully subtle, and the outstanding execution and neat details make it an excellent place to spend some time. The original seats are gone, replaced by a pair of leather-wrapped buckets flanking a custom-built center console. The dash was fully restored, with fresh Dakota Digital gauges tucked into the original gauge panel, and the band of bright metal that stretches from end to end is very trick, smoothly eliminating the secondary controls and radio for a clean, smooth look. A custom center console was fabbed up, including an armrest and a cool custom shifter for the 5-speed manual transmission. There's also A/C, an AM/FM/CD stereo radio, and a tilt steering column topped by a stock-looking wheel that has been finished to match the interior. The back seat has been split into two buckets astride the full-length console and the trunk is tastefully finished in black carpets. The engine bay glitters with the look of a full custom piece. That's a thundering 427 cubic inch V8 under that custom air cleaner, and it's a neat fit in the '55 engine bay. Obviously there was an extraordinary amount of time and effort dedicated to the engine bay, showcasing a lot of polished and chrome plated parts as well as custom paint work that gives it a cool monochromatic look. There's a pair of Edelbrock 4-barrel carbs under the air cleaner and the front end is fitted with a serpentine belt drive for the accessories, so it's reliable and quiet. All the wiring and plumbing was expertly hidden out of sight, the inner fenders were finished, the firewall was smoothed, and the aluminum radiator up front has a custom shroud to blend it all together. The aforementioned 5-speed manual transmission spins a Ford 9-inch rear end with 3.89 gears on a limited slip, but with the overdrive gear, it cruises beautifully on the highway. The chassis is a custom powdercoated Art Morrison setup with A-arms, coil-overs, rack-and-pinion steering, and 4-wheel Wilwood disc brakes. The stance is just right and those custom billet wheels and Yokohama performance radials work perfectly. With more than $175,000 invested in the build, this two-time magazine feature car is still extremely fresh. Drive or show, it's up to you, and this Bel Air excels at both. Why? Perhaps it's because they made a fraction as many of these as they did pickup trucks. Maybe a lot of them were just used as intended and just got used up along the way. Or maybe it's just because their owners love them so much they're unwilling to let them go. Whatever the reason, it's easy to see why these trucks remain perennial favorites for off-road fans. The chiseled good looks are obviously based on the pickup trucks, but there's so much more to a Blazer than just a pickup with a cap. The proportions are exactly right and when rendered in white, it's a big, high-visibility piece of 4x4 hardware that looks tough enough to climb a mountain. It appears that this one is wearing a quality respray, which looks quite authentic and doesn't detract from the truck's purposeful look. There's not a lot of adornment on the sides of the body, so it looks sleek, and the black painted top gives it a unified look, unlike the usual white top that can be jarring to look at. The blacked-out front grille looks aggressive and is framed by bright stainless trim, a heavy-duty chrome bumper, and even the original hood ornament up top. It's definitely got the right look. The black interior looks straight out of the 1980s, and that's not a bad thing. New seat covers match the original velour material and patterns and work well with the factory door panels and replacement black carpets. It's got a few signs of use, but overall this truck continues to impress us with its preservation. The gauges still offer bright markings, the back seat looks almost completely unused, and even the cargo area shows well. Features include factory A/C, power windows and locks, a tilt wheel, and an upgraded AM/FM/CD stereo system. The top is indeed removable and there's something special about a topless blazer on a sunny day, making it easy to imagine taking this truck to the beach or to your favorite remote spot. There's a full-sized spare on board, too, so you never have to worry about getting stranded with a flat. The engine is GM's tried-and-true 350 cubic inch V8 with throttle body fuel injection (TBI). It's easy to spot with that unique air cleaner and the engine bay is shockingly clean for a 30-year-old truck. Despite being a 350 Chevy, it's completely stock, so it starts easily and runs smoothly with good torque that moves the big truck without ever feeling like it's working hard. Backed by a 700R4 4-speed automatic transmission, this big 4x4 actually does pretty well on the highway and with a 2-speed transfer case and heavy-duty axles, it also has the hardware to crawl through some pretty rough terrain. Thanks to a single Flowmaster muffler, the exhaust has a pleasant V8 sound that's muted enough to make this a favorite long-distance cruiser and it sits right on factory Rally wheels with big General all-terrain radials that fill the wheel wells perfectly. Look for these trucks to become a lot more popular in coming years as values on early Broncos skyrocket. And that's not even taking into account just how much fun these are to drive. It's hard to pinpoint what, exactly, makes them special, but when this 1957 Chevy Bel Air 2-door post coupe showed up, it had that certain something that made us all take a few extra minutes checking it out. Go ahead and look at the photos, and I'll bet you say, "Wow," when you see all the details. Smart builders always leave the '57 Chevy's sheetmetal alone and concentrate on making it as straight as possible instead, and that's certainly the case here. White may not seem all that sexy at first glance, but take a closer look at this one: it's not white, it's a prismatic pearl that glows in the sunlight and casts all kinds of wonderful reflections in its flanks. It's not perfect, but if you're sick of looking at red and black '57s, this one is a welcome relief that stands out in a crowd. The trim makes the Bel Air special, and it's all there and in mostly original condition, so it has a nice shine but isn't perfect, and the door handles could probably be replaced to really upgrade the look. The stylish interior shows off the plenty of custom work, wearing white vinyl upholstery that looks a lot like what this car might have carried when it was new. Custom door panels were created to match, and there's a white headliner overhead as well. To add some contrast, red pearl was used on the dash, steering column and even the steering wheel, and with the brilliant white exterior and upholstery, it looks awesome. The instrument panel still carries the original speedometer, which is flanked by the stock auxiliary gauges, but there's also a tach on top of the dash and the usual trio of auxiliary gauges underneath. Of course, the car's most noteworthy upgrade is the 5-speed manual transmission, and they've chosen a suitably long Hurst shifter to make it look vintage. An AM/FM stereo slots neatly into the dash so nothing was hacked up and the trunk is finished with black felt that gives it a finished look that's about right for a trunk. The 350 under the hood looks great and you know where the big money was spent on this build. Horsepower builders include an Edelbrock Performer intake and Holley 4-barrel carburetor, as well as a set of long-tube headers that connect to a beautifully fabricated Flowmaster exhaust system. A full chrome dress-up kit gives it the appropriate amount of sparkle, and a big aluminum radiator up front keeps it cool no matter what the outside temperature. It's backed by the aforementioned Tremec 5-speed manual gearbox, which promises easy cruising and impressive fuel economy. A power steering box improves responsiveness and power front disc brakes are a great safety upgrade. 15-inch chrome Ridler wheels are a modern take on the classic Torque Thrust and wear 225/60/15 radials that fill the wheel wells nicely. A great driver-grade build done by a guy who did it because he was fulfilling a dream, not looking for a return on his investment. Enjoy the benefits of this special car and call us today! 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air for Sale 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air for Sale Stock # 2938-ATL Charlotte Showroom 5400 West WT Harris Blvd Charlotte, NC 28269 Local/International: (704) 598-2130 Toll-Free: (866) 542-8392 Hours: Tues - Fri: 9AM - 6PM EST Sat: 9AM - 5PM EST Email: [email protected] Atlanta Showroom 213 Thornton Rd Lithia Springs, GA 30122 Local/International: (678) 279-1609 Toll-Free: (877) 367-1835 Hours: Tues - Fri: 9AM - 6PM EST Sat: 9AM - 5PM EST Email: [email protected] Dallas/Fort Worth Showroom 5400 Sandshell Dr Fort Worth, TX 76137 Local/International: (817) 764-8000 Toll-Free: (855) 877-2707 Hours: Tues - Fri: 9AM - 6PM CST Sat: 9AM - 5PM CST Email: [email protected] Tampa Showroom 4610 Pet Lane Lutz, FL 33559 Local/International: (813) 501-1630 Hours: Tues - Fri: 9AM - 6PM EST Sat: 9AM - 5PM EST Email: [email protected] TERMS OF SALE Vehicle may be sold by Streetside Classic Cars prior to the end of the auction. Starting with an ultra-clean 2-door post coupe and adding plenty of horsepower is a great way to deliver luxury and performance all in one package. And the fact that it looks so subtle, so unassuming, well, that's the best way to prowl the streets. This is one heck of a car! The burgundy paint was freshened in the 1980s and has a very authentic look overall. The sheetmetal underneath is remarkably clean and if you were around in the 1980s, then you remember when these cars were everywhere. Not many survived and even fewer are this nice, with excellent gaps, a hood that fits tightly, and a trunk lid that doesn't need a huge slam to close, all signs of a car that hasn't been neglected or abused. There's just the right amount of gloss in the paint so it can almost pass for original, and the color us subtle enough to not attract too much attention when you're cruising. They were smart and kept it completely stock, so no graphics or other modifications; heck, there's not even a pinstripe! The 2-door post coupe with a steel roof is probably the right car for this kind of transformation, and it's a base model, because there's no hood ornament, no side trim, not even any rocker trim, making it look clean but not too flashy. Yeah, this is how you build a sleeper! The interior is completely original and shockingly clean. Yes, they kept the bench seat, which is all part of the sleeper code of conduct. Familiar red mouse fur upholstery was a GM staple back when this car was built, and the term "full sized comfort" was coined for vehicles just like this. The door panels are sharp, the dash isn't cracked, and even the headliner remains taut and firmly affixed to the roof (they were notorious for drooping). With more than a passing glance, you'll notice the tach on the steering column, and maybe the auxiliary gauges underneath, but for most folks on the street, this car won't raise any eyebrows. The factory gauges are bright and crisp and this is indeed a base model, with manual windows, a factory AM/FM radio, and a column shifter. However, it does have a tilt column, which is kind of a neat find in a car like this. The trunk is neatly finished with a full-sized spare with matching redline radial plus the relocated battery. Under the giant hood you'll find a ZZ383 crate motor, with 383 cubic inches and 425 horsepower on tap. It fits like it was born there, although everyone will know when they see it that this is no stocker. It's got a high-rise intake, a big Holley carburetor, and just about everything you see is brand new. Long-tube headers feed a custom dual exhaust system that's quiet enough to maintain the illusion but barks just the way you'd want it to on the roll. Better yet, it's been painted black to help it disappear. It's backed by a built TH350 3-speed automatic feeding 4.10 gears with Moser 30-spline axles, so there's no denying what this car's mission might be. The entire suspension has been upgraded with fat sway bars and a lot of new parts, and an upgraded Wilwood brake master cylinder handles the stopping. Painted steel wheels with dog dish hubcaps and BFGoodrich redline radials finish the sleeper look perfectly. This is an insanely cool car. It's cool because it's so nicely preserved and it's cool because it's a predator. Complete with a reproduction window sticker and restoration receipts, it definitely won't last very long. Lowered, stuffed with a great-running 454, and with a lot of neat details that will get you noticed, it's the kind of tasteful custom that we'd all like to own. Painted basic black, this truck makes a statement. While most of the others are red or bright yellow, this one is quietly confident in its ability to look good without even trying. Of course, the C10's angular look has a lot to do with it, and having a stepside bed and regular cab gives it ideal proportions, more like a muscle car than a pickup truck. Then there's the straight sheetmetal underneath, ultra-tight gaps, and an overall look that seems to suggest someone worked overtime to get the little stuff right. It's pretty stock-looking at a glance, and heck, they even kept the stock grille in place instead of stuffing a generic billet piece in the slot! On the other hand, nothing coming out of a GM plant in 1970 looked this good. Chrome bumpers look fantastic, the chrome CHEVROLET letters on the tailgate proudly stand out, and the overall impression is that someone was willing to spend a lot of money to build one of the nicest C10s anywhere. Just check out that beautiful bed if you want a good example of how nice this truck really is! The interior continues the exterior color scheme, with black cloth upholstery on the original bench seat. Workmanship is impressive and the seat cover looks virtually new, with no creases or discoloration on the seating surfaces. The blend of original and custom is expertly done, most notably on the instrument panel, which is a custom aluminum insert that frames the original gauges and adds a set of aftermarket dials down low. Other noteworthy details include under-dash A/C that almost looks OEM, a Grant steering wheel on a tilt steering column, and a digital AM/FM stereo head unit in the original slot. The carpets are in great shape too, showing off a correct texture that helps with the OEM look and feel. You also get a sliding rear window, one of the very best features in any pickup, and once you've used it, you'll wonder how you got by without it. Pop the hood and, just as the fender badges promised, you'll discover a very neatly detailed 454 cubic inch big block V8 that has been dressed to impress. There's Chevy Orange on the block, a set of polished valve covers, and a chrome air cleaner atop a brand new Edelbrock 4-barrel carburetor. It's worth noting that there's zero rust on the inner fenders or firewall, and the level of detailing suggests that this truck has not been driven much since it was completed. There's also a new radiator up front, a chrome alternator, and a bunch of new service items to ensure it's ready to rock. It starts easily and sounds awesome with long-tube headers and a custom Flowmaster dual exhaust system. The TH400 3-speed automatic shifts crisply and drives a 12-bolt rear that stands out, hanging on a lowered suspension that still uses coil springs. The suspension has been lowered all around, so it has a ground-hugging stance, and with 15-inch Torque Thrust wheels and staggered 245/60/15 front and 295/50/15 rear blackwall radials, it definitely looks the part of a full custom. Fully sorted and without the usual asterisks that accompany many builds, this C10 is ready to go. We can guarantee that it'll cause a stir without getting too loud about it. When an automaker takes a chance and builds something unique and special, regardless of whether it's a success, everyone who loves cars should applaud the effort. And there's certainly a lot to appreciate in the SSR, a roadster pickup with the heart of a Corvette, so there's no question you'll love owning and driving this one. The look was ostensibly inspired by the "Advance Design" pickups of the 1940s and early 1950s, but the sleek, modern take on the ancient pickup makes the SSR eyeball candy for the everyman. The SSR also introduced new technology to GM, including the deep-draw fenders which were previously impossible to create. But all that's really beside the point, because this sucker looks awesome! Basic black is kind of a low-key color on the flashy little pickup, but it does highlight the awesome body shapes, accenting the curvaceous fenders and tying in neatly with the SSR badges on the doors. And unlike so many of its peers, this one is quite stock and shows just 21,090 original miles, which is a good thing because you don't want one that's been abused. In fact, this one seems to have never seen anything more inclement than a spring shower, with great paint that shows an above-average factory finish suggesting that GM painters (even if they were robots) knew they were building something special. Black leather buckets and every possible comfort and convenience item were standard equipment on the SSR. If you wanted one loaded, your only options were an upgraded sound system and choice of transmissions (this one has the 4-speed automatic, which is only .2 seconds slower in the quarter-mile than the 6-speed manual). Everything works, of course, including the trick gauges that do a neat little dance whenever you key it up, and the instrument panel is joined by a color-matched center console with its own set of auxiliary dials. It's a neat blend of futuristic looks and retro touches like the steering wheel, all of it working together to create one heck of a fun machine. And while the bed is ostensibly that of a pickup, the weather-proof tonneau cover, wood rub strips, and full carpet set suggests that it was designed for something other than hauling raw materials. In 2005, the fun was increased by 30% with the addition of the Corvette-based LS2 powerplant. At 6.0 liters, it makes a nice, fat 390 horsepower and 405 pounds of torque, enough to lop more than two seconds of the performance of its earlier siblings. While that would make me angry if I bought one of the early ones, the point is that you can own this 2005 without the fear that you didn't buy the right one. As you'd expect, this one has been properly maintained and used only as a fair-weather toy, so there are no modifications under the hood, despite a lot of the Corvette gear simply bolting on. The suspension and brakes still work like new, the transmission clicks off rocket-fast shifts, and, well, it even still feels like a new truck. Even the chrome alloys look bright and unmarked, wearing 255/50/19 front and massive 295/40/20 rear Goodyear run-flat radials with plenty of life left in them. Still stunning a decade after its debut, this is a lot of fun that's also surprisingly practical. If you can't quite make up your mind whether you want a Camaro, a Corvette roadster, or a pickup, perhaps this is the solution. Of course, this one is a modern restoration of an original vintage racer, and with that comes 50 years of technological progress, making it faster, safer, and more outrageous than the original without changing that nose-up gasser look. There's just no avoiding this car; in the parking lot, at the car show, on the road, and at the strip, this Chevy demands your attention. It's got that cool old-school look but the modern finish quality is worlds beyond anything the guys were doing in the '60s. Taking a clean 1930 Chevy 2-door sedan, they kept the body pretty much intact, smoothing it out and covering it in that brilliant blue paint, but the original moldings remain in place and only the fenders are fiberglass with everything else being original steel. Heck, they didn't even chop the top! The radiator up front is flanked by a pair of King Bee style headlights, and there's a small fuel cell up front, which was a gasser design that used acceleration to force fuel into the carburetor; clever, no? Vintage-looking graphics on the doors are a great way to grab attention and you'll note that the headers are white as well, which was all the rage back in the day. Even the Lexan windows are tinted blue to give it a nostalgic look that really works well. Oh, yea, there's also a parachute on the back, you know, just in case... The interior is a combination of bare-bones race car and cool retro rod. Form-fitting buckets are simple '60s shells that offer minimalist weight and reasonable comfort for cruising. The floor is covered in simple rubber mats and the transmission tunnel has obviously been re-shaped. A red roll cage reinforces the vintage sedan so it's safe and substantial going down the road. On the other hand, there's also a full headliner and nicely finished side and door panels that give it a polished feel inside and make it a great place to spend some time. A full array of Stewart Warner gauges is in the center of the dash with a big tach parked up top. That long handled shifter offers a piston knob and controls a TH400 3-speed automatic transmission. It's all brand new, so everything is crisp and fresh, but almost exactly the way it was back in the day. A fresh 454 cubic inch Chevy V8 with dual quads probably delivers more power than all but the most radical race engines of the 1960s, yet it's docile enough to drive on the street. There's a mild cam inside, a heavy-duty radiator with dual electric fans to keep it cool, and the twin Edelbrocks on a Weiand intake look incredibly potent. The top end of the engine was recently freshened and everything was detailed like new. Finned Mickey Thompson valve covers are a period look and the red painted block, blue bodywork, and white headers are a bit patriotic, don't you think? The aforementioned TH400 transmission feeds a Ford 9-inch rear end on a set of ladder bars that do their best to hook it up. The front suspension is an I-beam on leaf springs, which gives it that nose-up look, and it's been fitted with front disc brakes for safety. Polished Torque Thrust mags are the only choice on something like this, and they're wrapped in 5.60-15 whitewalls up front and giant 10-inch whitewall slicks out back. A cool old-school hot rod with a ton of performance, impressive build quality, and all the nostalgia you'd ever want. The more of one you have, the less of the other you need, but there's no way around it, a car this nice requires a serious investment. Packing a beautifully detailed LS1 under the hood and a '50s perfect two-tone color scheme, this is a car that everyone can appreciate. Fast, reliable, and gorgeous, it's everything the original designers wanted the 1955 Chevy to be, and with only 161 miles on the build, it's fresh, fresh, fresh! The two-tone paint job looks very factory correct, although it uses modern Victory Red and bright white to give it a sparkling contrast. It's a combination that would have looked right at home on the streets of 1955, although there was no such thing as paint that looked this good back then. The bodywork is straight enough that the glossy paint shows beautifully, and the car fits together extremely well, the result of all that time and money. The white India Ivory is a very elegant contrast to the bright, cheerful red, and together they give the car a bright glow that is perfect for the era without the heavy metallics we get today. All the original trim is intact, which also means someone spent enough cash restoring it to put a kid through college. Detailing is crisp, and there are virtually zero flaws in the brightwork. In person, this car is impossible to ignore. The interior has been restored to look period correct with a few notable exceptions. The seats wear two-tone leather seat covers with narrow pleats for a true '50s vibe and the door panels were stitched to match. Matching red carpets show expert binding work and the headliner overhead uses chrome bows that are one of the car's most striking styling features. You'll note the dash is quite stock and totally dazzling, with the original gauges being restored and functional. Sharp-eyed viewers will spot the A/C vents under the dash, which are effective without changing the character of the interior. There is no radio, but that only means it's waiting for you to install the entertainment system of your own choosing, and it hasn't been cut so no worries there. In back, the trunk was restored with a rubber mat and you'll note that even the rear of the back seat has been upholstered. Power comes from a well-dressed LS1 V8 that was built to cruise. Liberal doses of chrome and polished aluminum make the engine bay glitter, including the intake snorkel, brake master cylinder, and A/C compressor. Modern amenities include factory fuel injection, so it starts and idles like your daily driver and actually pulls down decent fuel economy on the open road. Wiring and plumbing is neatly installed and with a big aluminum radiator up front, keeping things cool is no big deal. Underneath there's a slick-shifting 4-speed 4L60E automatic transmission, a nice upgrade over the original 2-speed PowerGlide. Custom headers feed a mellow-sounding dual exhaust system with Flowmaster mufflers while the suspension and brakes have been fully rebuilt. It rides on a set of staggered American Racing aluminum wheels with 17-inch Nittos up front and 18s in back. It's rare to see cars this nice, and when one like this shows up at a cruise night or car show, it's obvious where the big money was spent. From the superb paint and bodywork to the rumbling V8 under the hood, it's a car that will delight you every time you see it in the garage or climb behind the wheel, which is what this hobby is all about. Wrong! Take a good, long look at this amazing 1957 Chevrolet 210 2-door and you'll find a huge amount of time, effort, and money went into the build, with the result being a big-block show car that can hammer down the highway better than almost anything else on four wheels. It cost more than $160,000 to build, so you know it's amazing, but you really need to see it in person to see just how spectacular it really is. The color is House of Kolor Orion Silver, a wonderful, soft, sophisticated hue that gives the 210 a very expensive look. The investment in quality bodywork is evident everywhere you look and the simple 210 trim doesn't leave any areas for shoddy workmanship to hide. The deep, glossy finish not only makes heads turn with its unusual look, but it's surprisingly easy on the eyes, hiding dirt and blemishes quite well, so you don't need to be afraid to drive it. A few liberties were taken, including shaving the nose emblem and trimming the deck lid, both time-honored custom tricks that seem to pay especially big dividends on the '57 Chevys. Spectacular chrome only enhances the sparkling, high-quality look and you know few things are more expensive to refinish than the brightwork on a '50s automobile. Add in the bright stainless body trim that's a highlight of the 210 models and you have a car that doesn't have a single wrong line on it anywhere. There's not much 1957 left inside with a pair of gorgeous custom buckets up front and spectacular red leather upholstery all around, stitched by M&M Custom Interiors. The stock Chevy dash was slightly reworked and now houses a full set of bright Dakota Digital gauges in the original 3-gauge instrument panel and even though the overall look is pure 1957, it sure seems sleeker and more high-tech, doesn't it? A billet wheel with two-tone leather on the rim, plus plush red carpets, and a custom center console all add to the modern feel and amenities such as A/C, power windows, and a tilt column mean that you never feel like you're driving a 60-year-old car. The styling is dramatic and careful attention to detail is why this one is a show-winner, and you can rest assured that no car in 1957 ever looked this good. The stereo is an AM/FM/CD/iPod system that sounds great to all the extra sound-deadening materials used during the build and the trunk is outfitted with more custom stitchwork and a removable bulkhead hiding the stereo equipment and battery. Instead of a ho-hum small block, this spectacular 210 packs 427 cubic inches of Hendrick Motorsports big block V8. Like you, we're tired of seeing garden-variety engines in these cars, and this mammoth torque factory will definitely impress passengers and onlookers alike. It's supremely smooth and thanks to a big Holley carburetor, it starts quickly, idles smoothly, and pulls without a hitch. At shows, you'll be extra proud to pop the hood and show off the OEM-grade mechanicals, including things like the alternator and A/C compressor, as well as valve covers and even the intake manifold, which have a cool black crinkle finish. It's really impressive. The entire chassis was custom fabricated by Fatman Fabrications, and includes power steering and power 4-wheel disc brakes as well as a custom dual exhaust system featuring ceramic-coated long-tube headers and Flowmaster mufflers has an awesome sound that won't be easy to forget. A 700R4 4-speed automatic overdrive transmission feeds a rugged 9-inch Ford rear end with 3.73 gears inside and the suspension was lowered to give it a wicked stance. Right-sized Torque Thrust wheels look great and roll inside 245/45/17 front and 255/55/17 rear Nitto radials. With only 945 miles since the frame-off build, this car cost a heck of a lot more to build than the asking price today. If you like a bit of sophistication with your performance, this Chevy delivers in a very big way.
